Rodeown Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 (edited) was there a reason why the pictures needed to be 800x600? i do all mine in 1024x576 (email size) and set them to around 90KB each . Edited March 13, 2012 by Rodeown Quote
Zaiocrit Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Can I put some images though my MOC is not finished and running at 100% ? Quote
efferman Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 sure, my moc is not finished yet and it is listed in the tsats index Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Siegfried, if I do a WIP thread about my tsats project, do my WIP pictures count towards the 6 picture limit? Or, is the 6 picture limit just for a finished moc? I'd like to add a WIP thread, but I don't want to waste my picture limit on WIP stuff instead of a finished project. Quote
Rodeown Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 personally i think everyone will like to see the development of your ideas, i know my own water jeep has many more photos than 8 in the thread i started for it because i have been developing it as i go along, once complete i will create 8 photos to be in the competition and a video if that is ok with Siegfried. efferman Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 i will modify my first post too, to get a proper overview over the finalized model. Quote
Siegfried Posted March 13, 2012 Author Posted March 13, 2012 was there a reason why the pictures needed to be 800x600? i do all mine in 1024x576 (email size) and set them to around 90KB each . Because there are a lot of people still running screens of 1280x1024, which depending on browser and screen setup, can be too big to view. Why do you need them bigger? Can I put some images though my MOC is not finished and running at 100% ? Yes/ sure, my moc is not finished yet and it is listed in the tsats index Indeed. The main purpose of the TSATS index right now is so I don't "lose" entires. I will be updating the images closer to the date so making WIP topics is cool. No. Feel free to do that providing you make a new topic before the voting starts. personally i think everyone will like to see the development of your ideas, i know my own water jeep has many more photos than 8 in the thread i started for it because i have been developing it as i go along, once complete i will create 8 photos to be in the competition and a video if that is ok with Siegfried. Yep... i will modify my first post too, to get a proper overview over the finalized model. Sure, but a final topic (with a link to the old if you want) will need to be made later. Thanks everyone for the cool entires so far! Quote

Alasdair Ryan Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 It is still surprising how meny people do not know how to 'link' picture's or videos properly. Quote

Thelonious monk Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 12 more days to go and we already have 12 entries - i am very curious who is holding back/ still working hard at their MOCs before the deadline passes! I hope TLG is watching this topic, they certainly have not made a lot of ships and this challenge proves you can make great ship models using technic. Quote

It's March 19 here so would that not be 14 days? Quote
danim Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I am currently working on a nxt lego controlled boat but there are a couple of things that I have added to help with the floating which are 5grams of lead shot in each of the hulls, hot melt to seal up the hulls and some cling film to cover the nxt to keep it watertight. Also I am using an android app to control the vessel so would I still be eligible to take part in the contest Quote
captainmib Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 12 more days to go and we already have 12 entries - i am very curious who is holding back/ still working hard at their MOCs before the deadline passes! -Waves- I'm currently building furiously. Havent got time to take pictures so making a topic is pointless. I must say that i started really late since all my MOC-time is in a other project. (which i now have delayed because of the contest...) Quote

Progress has been slow due to a very busy schedule....I may not be able to finish it in time. We'll see. Quote
Siegfried Posted March 25, 2012 Author Posted March 25, 2012 As an FYI for people who haven't been watching the way I've always run contests, the ending date is fluid. In this case however I do expect the entry to be substantially started for it to be valid. In other words, a topic showing a 50% completed model should be made at the very least. So there's no need to give up just because there's a week to go. Quote
Luc2000 Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 I'm working on something (already over 50% finished). I have more time this week, so I hope to finish it before the deadline Quote

Luc2000 Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 So, how much time do we have left?? If the deadline is fluid, it's still a deadline... Well, an exact date isn't really necessary, but is it 1 or 2 days extra? Or 1 week? After today, I'm not sure if I'll finish my entry. I've been sick for a few days, and I didn't made any real progress last week. Quote

Omikron Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Hello again! Can I ask for 1-2 additional days after 31 of March for completing my entry since the last package with bricks is finally clearing the customs in my country? I've already posted the entry before deadline =) Quote
