DoubleT Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 First pics of the Ferrari F430 Challenge Looks good, could be worse ;) Quote
sam89 Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 There's also a new 1:24 scale Ferrari F1, which looks better than the first: Quote
sam89 Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 The 430 set looks pretty decent. It appears that it comes with two bodies I might consider getting it. Quote
sam89 Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Here's two more pics. One much bigger pic of the 430: http://www.lowlug.nl/2007/8143high.jpg And one pic of a NEW set, 8144Ferrari F1 Team: http://www.lowlug.nl/2007/8144set.jpg Quote
xwingyoda Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 And one pic of a NEW set, 8144Ferrari F1 Team:http://www.lowlug.nl/2007/8144set.jpg Tks Sam about this ;-) I'm kind of pissed off by it !! It really ressembles what they did previously and the F1 is slightly redesigned !! Since Shumi only has 1 race left (this sunday at Interlagos) and already lost the world championship ( *sweet* ), it seems that TLC wants to gain more money easily and quickly !! So those sets will be out after Schumi :-D :-P *yoda* Quote
xenologer Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Wait.. the 1/24 scale F1 What?! is going on with the front wheels' axel? Quote
gylman Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 I'm with Yoda. This 430 is not significantly different from last year, and we don't need yet ANOTHER F1 minifig scale. I really liked the 430, but don't need two versions of it. I'm hoping we still have a 699 coming (or something like that, I forget which model, but the real life car looks nice). Quote
prateek Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 If i get the 430, i will make it yellow *y* like this thumb... X-D Quote
xwingyoda Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 I'm hoping we still have a 699 coming (or something like that, I forget which model, but the real life car looks nice). A 599 GTB "Fiorano" ;-) A 612 "Scaglietti" would be sweet as well I'm biais since I never liked the 430 on the first place ;-) Race On !! *yoda* Quote
Freddie Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 If they do release a 599 GTB, it'll be interesting to see how they treat the rear pillars. On the real car the coupe windows courve inwards and fuse with the rear window, while the pillars countinue backwards seperately. It's clearly visible in the pic xwingyoda linked to. Quote
phoinix Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 havent they done ALL these sets before?? not that the new ones dont look great! i really like the picture of the 8144 seems like its taken from a catalogue.. do you know where its taken from? do you have the other page? here you can see the price list.. http://www.lowlug.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3262 i dont speak german so i cant reallu navigate myself throught this forum.. :-( Quote
alex54 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Since Shumi only has 1 race left (this sunday at Interlagos) and already lost the world championship ( *sweet*) *yoda* Hihihi! :-D Maybe TLC will have a licence with Renault! It would be so cool! But I know that will never happened, because the Americans don't konw Renault... Quote
sam89 Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 I had a look at the price of the F430, and it looks like it's going to have an incredible piece to price ratio. It costs Quote
Zane Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 So it includes pieces, apart from the wheels, for both a yellow and red car at the same time? Quote
RocketRacer Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 havent they done ALL these sets before??not that the new ones dont look great! i really like the picture of the 8144 seems like its taken from a catalogue.. do you know where its taken from? do you have the other page? here you can see the price list.. http://www.lowlug.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3262 i dont speak german so i cant reallu navigate myself throught this forum.. :-( That's Dutch (as spoken in Belgium and the Netherlands), not German :-P Quote
sam89 Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 The Ferrari 430 Challenge is now on S@H: http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=8143 I'm still not sure exactly what is included now. It makes it look like there are two full bodies included - a yellow and a red - but there's nowhere near enough pieces for that. There's 91 more than the original Ferrari 430, most of which probably go towards the roof of the new model. Quote
xenologer Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 I'd guess that there are Not enough parts to have two cars; they probably give you just an extra set of yellow slopes and whatnot to change the color of the outside. But everything under that like chassis and interiour is only a single copy. Quote
sam89 Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Here's some pics I found on eBay of this set, which show what comes with the set: F430 Challenge I'm really liking the look of this set, and I'm thinking of getting one (or maybe two!). Quote
bdd Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 These cars keep getting better and better. This years was great, 2007 looks great, much better than the first year, boy that car was bad! :) Quote
gylman Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Ferrari has been the biggest pleasant suprise from TLC in the 21st century. I just hope they don't get too repetitive. Quote
bdd Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 The F430 Spider one from 2006 is backordered at S@H until March 17th 2007! I got mine in the clearence section too! Quote
sam89 Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Here's something interesting: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2177704 The box art in the background of this pic of the F430 clearly says 1100 pieces (or 1110), not 690. Perhaps 690 pieces is just the amount in the red Ferrari, because I really can't see how this set could only have 690 pieces. Quote
bdd Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 It looks like 1130 to me. :-P But on S@H they have the box and it says 690 pieces. Quote
