Ecclesiastes Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 (edited) The Melting Festival Mitgardian winters, are very cold. So all the rivers turn into ice. This means, no more trading and fishing with ships. No more swimming and cleaning clothes in the water and so on. So it’s a great happening when the ice starts melting. So when the water finally reaches the Melting-Pillar, it means the winter is officially over. The people of Ondylion celebrate this with the Melting Festival. Lots of food and games! And not to forget, an old tradition. Each year when the festival starts, the children put little ships they’ve made into the River. To please the gods for the safety of all men on the River for the coming year. Melting-Festival Children putting their boats into the water. Khorne Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Lovely . I really like your "normal" citizen MOCs adding a bit of background to the Mitgardian faction. Good job! Quote
de Gothia Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 What a great idea! How did you came up with the idea? Never heard of any Melting Festival in real life.. The moc itself is great! Looks like the folks are having a great time! Are there more mocs to follow that will guide us in to the Mitgardian spring? Quote
MikeyB Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 fabulous idea and build! I want a little boat now! I am always a sucker for civilian scenes. Quote
