While it certainly is tempting to head over to the local B&M store, I think I'll wait two more days for the double VIP points...

Double VIP points? Can you explain? I don't see anything on the LEGO web site?

Have a look on the store calendars for your country - in a lot of places there are double VIP points on all purchases between 1 - 15 March.

I don't like the development of the way the floors are connected.

To save parts the top of the walls now have this element: 92593.jpg

The olders Modulars had a better system in which the floors fitted nicely together...

I am sure it is done to save large plates

I disagree. I recently finished Grand Emporium and the floors come apart so easily. They pop loose just moving the set, and could use a stud connection to help keep things in place.

I was planning on picking it up when it comes out, but spent all my Lego funds on a lot from Craigslist  So it will have to wait a couple more weeks... :classic:

Looks great from what I can see in the vid!

C'mon TLG and hurry up, take my money and bring me my town hall!

Also, does anyone else besides me make the minifigs last? I always find its the 'icing on the cake'!

Thanks a lot for the video RoxYourBlox, en français en plus!!!

How come the set always look even much better when filmed in "real" life?

Does anyone living near an official LEGO store plans to visit switzerland tomorrow afternoon??? If so, I could propose a very nice meal/visit of the french speaking part of my country, just bring a TH with you (I will pay for it of course...) default_laugh_new.gifdefault_laugh_new.gifdefault_laugh_new.gif

Of course I was just kidding, and will have to wait for tomorrow and order the set and then count hours before it gets delivered...

PS: There is a very nice lake around here and the weather is great for the moment, how about a little trip to switzerland.. mountains are still full of snow, chocolate is just waiting for you... default_satisfied.gif

Oh, I just found it today but thought it deserved posting. I was hoping for a wider selection of modified plates in dark orange from this set, but I think from this video we can see we'll mostly get 1x_ bricks.

I just finished ordering mine. With double VIP points, it almost pays for the shipping. :hmpf_bad:

Luckily I had an unused gift card that I could spend with it.

Because of the higher cost over the previous modulars, I'll have to think hard about ordering multiples of this set.

I'm starting to get excited about this set. I know one thing for sure is that there will be a ridiculous surplus of those new brick separators by the end of the year...

LEGO is really going overboard with promoting these new LEGO brick separators. They even include one in the new LEGO City Police chase game. Sooner or later,EVERY LEGO set will include one.

This might be a strange question about Town Hall. Does anyone know approximate dimensions of the box? I'm planning order via S@H to Danmark, and then it would be packed in the luggage of my family when they'll be visiting me. I'm not sure the box would fit the luggage though. A backup plan is to get the set without the box, but it's somehow more exciting to get the box, admiring all the details and then opening it slowly.

By years end, I'm going to have about 49,238 of these things. Between all LotR and Marvel(not sure if Marvel has them, DC didn't), 3 Ninjago, and whatever else they come in tis year. Anyways, I digress...

This will be the first Modular since 10185 Green Grocer on the day it came out. I have to wait 10 more days! Making a trip to the LEGO store. The agony will almost kill me. :cry_sad:

Saw this set "up close and personal" and I have to say, the 'glass' in the windows was TERRIBLE! The mold release marks made it look like all the windows had been shot. There was the 'attachment point' or 'injection point' or whatever, plus a foggy 'halo' around the mark.

Just HIDEOUS looking!

I'll wait on buying this until that little flaw works its way through the manufacturing process.

I had this issue also with all the windows in my Pet Shop, which I bought approx. 2 months ago..

I don't think they can do a lot to fix this problem.. (or they have to change the mold)

Are you sure it wasn't just a glare or something coming from the display case? I've never even heard of this problem. All the modular reviews haven't mentioned it.

Hmm...my Pet Shop was fine. Can you post a picture, assuming you still have them.

58 x 48 x 12.5 centimeters.

Yes! Finally March 1 is here. I am now the proud  but broke :hmpf_bad: owner of five copies. I guess I won't see the inside of a Lego Store any time soon. :oh:

Yes, sure. I will take a picture tomorrow. It's too dark now.

My Grand Emporium windows were like this too. It's not really that noticeable once installed...
