It looks like they're making bigger cars now, but still not system compatible. But all of the big ones are ugly and barely resemble cars, the small ones are much better.

What's with the technic stuff sticking out in front?? What is this?? Where are the windsheilds on the first two and what is up with those "wings" on th third??

I see studs

and axel holes

Looks System Compatible to me.

Based on the box art...

It looks like the new action feature for the large Racers is they can 'crash'

and have relatively large chunks that stay together pop off in a crash.

The technic bumper on the front of all of them seems to be a lever to activate the feature.

The Tiny Turbos look nice, I definetly want the black and red one at least.

But I am dissapointed that 3 of 4 of them are using those ugly 'hotwheels rip-off' wheels, instead of 'Real Lego Wheels'.

What the heck am I looking at?

Complete sets AFTER having firecrackers detonated underneath?

I'm an adult and I don't understand it.

A kid's just going to walk right by things that are that nonsenical.

...Is that supposed to be a bumper coming out of the grill on the red and black ones?

...Is that a hook of death dragging behind.... ...ok, these are dumb.

But as usual, ok parts sources. They look like they might be more than $3.99 this time though.

If they're priced higher than $4.49... they're going to flop right into the bargain bins.

These are not nearly as cute or useful parts packs as previous years. No chance I will buy this, and I have multiple copies of all the previous, which I thought were great.

I don't get it. Why don't they just eliminate the expensive packaging, put the TTPP in baggies, and sell them for 2 dollars each.

Tiny Turbo Parts Packs.

Everything you just said, gylman.

All I can guess is that they got some insane freebie of a deal on a container manufacturer.

These are already doomed. They fail on 4 major points that Lego sets should be sold on:

1. Character / vehicle / story identification / idolization.

-They have no story, and don't look like any cars... ever.

2. Look good as a completed set.

-FAIL.

3. Give a reason for one to moc / buy more sets.

-Not even... in order to do the desired function and still stay together in one piece, most probably won't go messing with the initial design. Buying more sets = loss of function.

4. Parts to price ratio... for use as extra parts in mocs.

-Unless these are like $4.49 or lower, DOOMED.

Yeesh, yeesh, yeesh and yeesh.

My opinion will drop even less if the designs are painted on, and not stickers you can just throw away.

I'm shocked. I really liked the previous Tiny Turbos, but these are hideous.

When Tiny Turbos are dipped in Energized Protodermis... or perhaps Hordika Venom?

This is clearly not what was meant to be.

Hold on!!

Based on the pictures in this link, Tiny Turbos are not dead yet.

These hideous piles of poo are actually the more expensive racers (that I have always hated),, and it looks like we have some good TT still to look forward to.

Phew!

Exactly Gyl !!

The Tiny Turbow are really quite nice IMO: they really have a meaner look !! Okie I will deeplink the pics so you can see the nice ones and not the crap ones to avoid confusion !!

Behold the Tiny Turbos !!

THANK YOU, Lego!

I'll take 20!

Tiny Turbos For The Win!

These hideous piles of poo are actually the more expensive racers (that I have always hated),,

It says the ugly bastards are 10.99 in Euros... TELL me that doesn't convert to something over 5 US bucks.

the TTs are too skinny but i like the night crusher thing

I don't understand all the confusion! I didn't post pics of the TTs in the forum but did everyone miss the link that I posted at the very beginning of the topic? TLC is making big cars now but they're making more TTs too.

:-D

We're a bunch of filthy, lazy, non-clicking link morons.

Here is my favorite of them all !!

What a cool set! After the tunner garage, this set appears like a very good one! I will buy it and make it bigger to be minifig scaled.

It seems that it is dark grey and "dark yellow" like in the KK magifig dracus... If it is, *sweet* !

'Tis very unfortunate that the big racers are so cruddy this time around. I must definately pass, except when it comes to the tiny turbos. Man are they cool! The best racers parts packs yet, and they look cool as well! And the Night crusher is simply genius...one of the best medium sets of 2007! ;-)

and when do these come out any for june july time of 2007?

I'll probably get all the TTs. That red jeep looks awesome.

Regarding TinyTurbos

in general, not just for this year...tho this year seems to exemplify...

How the Heck do they go over SpeedBumps?? :-P

they've only got 1/2plate ground clearance at the nose.

Yeah, i have ordered the Green one and Blue on from the most recent S@H as well as the tiny turbo collection, can't wait till they come. The thing on the front is a crash function, when hit with another one bricks are supposed to fly off on purpose. I actuly think there better than last years big racers.

darthking- these are out now!

Now for the tiny tubos, very nice, very cool, geting all 4, glad they carried tiny turbos on, somebody on BZP agrred and said that there like lego's version of hotwheels! I think that the one with a massive spoiler on the back is quite like an F1 car.

So go lego racers for this year!

Cheer m'deers! *skull*

Optimax!

I don't know which one you mean with the 'big' racers but I like them. Especially when you mean the ones on the supercar-scale.

And yes, I like these Tiny Turbo's too. The last 2 TT's are the ones which I'm certainly going to buy. The other ones I don't know. I think that they will come in my collection too.

But who knows. ;-)

there like lego's version of hotwheels!

Indeed. If they can keep up the part quantity, part diversity and part colors... this line could and should go on for decades with Lego.

Bionicle attacks the action figure aisle.

System attacks the model kit aisle.

And Tiny Turbos attack the car aisle.

Just got 3 of the green TT. $5 isn't a bad price to get a decent amount of lime green.

And unlike the yellow fenders on one from a previous year, these lime ones DON'T have the accents painted on.

Thankfully. I HATE Lego bricks with lame-assed things painted on. Really kills one's want to build (buy more sets).

So far I have Not touched any of the big($10USD) racers this year.

Everytime I drop by the store to get some legos I look a them, but they think to myself... sure there's some interesting parts here(oldstyle jet engine, dkgreen slopes), but what am I going to do with the useless pull-back motors??

and there's the Creator Cool Cars set on the same shelf with the same price but 3x the parts... heck, I'd rather buy another Cool Cars pack instead...

I seriously hope so.

Did not bother with the big racers in the end, just got the tiny turbos, great collection, well worth geting as a set, i can't rule one out as being my least favorite or a waste of money.

The only problem i do have with the stickers is sometimes they are hard to put on/ position either because the sticker is so small or the place your sticking it is so small.

The night runner ( I think its called that) Well the black shiny one looks so cool. Those pieces will be really good for my collection. I also like athe grren one as well, especially the shape of it. I like how Lego are making explode on impact racers. But then again everything was explode on impact! :-P

I should recieve all of the new TinyTurbos by Friday, they were shipped on the 9th. I will post pics when I get them!
