matias bendtsen Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) Now i think it is my turn to do like everybody else and keep all my creations in one tread. first my largest project ever, fully remote controlled scania omnilink bus, this is still WIP: i am also working on a small truck with crane and bed for equipment. maybe Efferman recognises the crane. this truck uses air suspension, also inspired by effermans idea. and the cab is a modified version of the crane truck. truck my future project is this WHITE truck with hopto 300 excavator: can someone tell me the model of the truck? efferman Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) maybe Efferman recognises the crane. yes, it is my 15 studs wide version, only in black. are you satisfied with the crane? btw, is the wheelbase of your truck not a little bit too long? Edited February 17, 2012 by efferman Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) Some interesting stuff here. Edited February 17, 2012 by Alasdair Ryan Quote

Alasdair Ryan Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) The Truck is a 'white super mustang'. Edited February 17, 2012 by Alasdair Ryan Quote

Quote
matias bendtsen Posted February 17, 2012 Author Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) The Truck is a 'white super mustang'. thanks, now it is a lot easier to find pics to work from. could you not place some of the mechanics/electrics behind the driveaxle? here is the air suspension in its highest position. and here it is in its lowest position, therefore i dont want too much weight behind the axle. more pics of the truck will follw on brickshelf Edited February 18, 2012 by matias bendtsen Quote
timslegos Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 i really like the video of the future project. it is to bad the truck wasnt maintained better. Nice truck so far though. tim Quote
matias bendtsen Posted February 18, 2012 Author Posted February 18, 2012 (edited) it is to bad the truck wasnt maintained better. tim it would be great to restore it, but i am only 16 years old, and someone put the atlantic ocean between me and the truck. BTW. the red truck is finished: i also made a video but my rechargeable battery ran out in the end, so now i need to get a charger from S@H. edit: can someone tell me the diameter of these tires in cm? Edited February 18, 2012 by matias bendtsen Quote
timslegos Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 The truck looks cool. Nice job. tim Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 (edited) Nice truck, shame you ran could not fit another rear axle. 20x30 tire's are as follow's : (H) 6.2cm x (w) 1.9 cm. Edited February 18, 2012 by Alasdair Ryan Quote
efferman Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 hm, now the wheelbase does fit to the truck, good work. Quote
matias bendtsen Posted February 19, 2012 Author Posted February 19, 2012 (edited) these 20x30 tire's are as follow's : (H) 6.2cm x (w) 1.9 cm. just found these. now i just need to get 10 of them. so i can start on the White Mustang chassis. Edited February 19, 2012 by matias bendtsen Quote
matias bendtsen Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 Now the bus got all it seats back after they had to be raised one stud: here is the interior from the front: Quote
timslegos Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 The seats look a little to small to me . tim Quote
matias bendtsen Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 The seats look a little to small to me . tim i know, but if i make them bigger they will require a lot more parts, and the whole bus have already cost the same as 3 unimogs. Quote
timslegos Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 i know, but if i make them bigger they will require a lot more parts, and the whole bus have already cost the same as 3 unimogs. how about just making the backrests longer? You could add some a lift arm in the place of the grey piece . tim Quote
matias bendtsen Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 Time for an update, while waiting for the wheels for the truck with excavator, i made the outriggers: when the outriggers are fold up they are 25 studs wide, so i think i will make the truck 23 studs wide, if that fits the wheels. i hope to get some of the wheels tomorrow, so i can start on the truck. BTW: the bus is finished and pics will come at the end of march, so alasdair will never see them. Quote
matias bendtsen Posted March 6, 2012 Author Posted March 6, 2012 I got some of my wheels today, so i made the back part of the chassis: i put one of the axles on a 5 kg. weight ant pressed down on the axle, but the weight showed ERROR before the axle started bending. now i just need 6 of these in grey and two of these. and a lot of pf parts. Quote
timslegos Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Nice looking frame so far. that is a lot of weight for lego! tim Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 (edited) Now were have i seen those wheels before? Edited March 8, 2012 by Alasdair Ryan Quote
matias bendtsen Posted March 12, 2012 Author Posted March 12, 2012 time for an update: i made the rest of the chassis. the front axle fails at 3,5 kg and each rear axle can at least take 5 kg, so thats a total of 13,5 kg i also made a WIP video: Quote
timslegos Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Looks like it works great! What is the gear reduction on the drive wheels? tim Quote
