matias bendtsen Posted February 6, 2013 Author Posted February 6, 2013 Last friday i got the 42006, ad build it on sunday, but i dont like those gearboxes, so i made it fully remote control: Most of it is completely rebuild, only the arm and cab are the same, though i wanted to keep the original apperance of the set. I also made a video to show all the functions: More pics here. (later ) I will present a unimog 6x6 when my camera is recharged, and i have made a video. Quote

timslegos Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Agreed motorization looks great. The functionality of the set actually looks pretty cool completely rc. tim Quote

matias bendtsen Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) Scania g400 with crane and tipper: this time there is no remote control, so all the functions are controlled from here: crane by Efferman. i also had time to make a small loader: Volvo L70: with remote control. video of both: (never mind the dog ) more pictures of both here. I have also taken some pictures of the multijob, and a video will follow soon. Edited March 3, 2013 by matias bendtsen Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 That loader drives to fast. I like the truck cab. Quote
matias bendtsen Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) That loader drives to fast. I like the truck cab. i know, but there is not enough room to gear it down a speed controller would fix it, ut then one of the boom fnctions need to use the speed remote too. Alasdair Ryan Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 The speed controller is a waste of money, you would be better just gearing it down more. Quote
matias bendtsen Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 The speed controller is a waste of money, you would be better just gearing it down more. maybe im just wierd (i have 10 of them) i think they are great, and use them where i can (almost everytime for driving and compressors) but in this case tipping of the bucket would also have to use the speed remote, and that is not good so i chose this solution (gearing is not possible, not enough room) in two months i there is an exhibition where i will use a speed remote, just to make sure it doesnt go off the table. timslegos Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Both machines look great together. Nice work. tim Quote
Eigenbroetler Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Nice to see that im not the only one who thinks the unimog should have 6 wheels, i myself are like you, i dont like gearboxes, so my unimog uses 5 motors now. Quote
