Alasdair Ryan Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I will see if i can come up with something,I like a challange. Quote
matias bendtsen Posted April 27, 2012 Author Posted April 27, 2012 great, then i might get rid of this problem: Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 (edited) It's just a quick moc up,It's got three tele sections four parts all together. If you find that it bend's like yours when fully out you can use studded beams in the middle of the 2 3,4 part's. Edited April 27, 2012 by Alasdair Ryan Quote
matias bendtsen Posted April 27, 2012 Author Posted April 27, 2012 It's just a quick moc up,It's got three tele sections four parts all together. i think that will bend and be too heavy, i only need tree sections because it is long enough as it is now, but not strong enough, it needs some support between the upper and lower part of the middle section. Alasdair Ryan Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 i think that will bend and be too heavy, i only need tree sections because it is long enough as it is now, but not strong enough, it needs some support between the upper and lower part of the middle section. If you revese studded beems, thay are slightly bigger than studded beams so thay can take away some of the play in between the sections. Quote
matias bendtsen Posted April 28, 2012 Author Posted April 28, 2012 i just modified the old boom, so it can take a lot more weight but it is olso a bit bigger and heavier. Quote
matias bendtsen Posted May 11, 2012 Author Posted May 11, 2012 I am sorry hat i have not updated you, but my PC broke down, so it is now on a short "holiday" with my favourite videoprogram but i have this pic: (the unimog weights about 2,1 kg) the outriggers are actually strong enough to lift the crane of the ground (when they are fully retracted) Quote
timslegos Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Wow thats amazing that it can lift so much! nice job. tim Quote
matias bendtsen Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 Now i got a new pc because my old sadly passed away at the hospital so now i have a video and some more pics: the outriggers are powerful enough to lift the whole crane: functions are: battery box one: (channel one and two) 2 XL: propulsion 1 M: front steering 1 M: rear steering battery box two: channel one and two) 1M: extend front outriggers 1M: extend rear outriggers 1M: lift front outriggers (autovalve) 1M: lift rear outriggers (autovalve) battery box 3: (channel three and four) 1XL: lift boom 1XL: winch 1M: turn crane 1 buggy motor: extend boom more pics here. this is all for now. now i just need a new project, maybe i will try the roolgolf Quote
jorgeopesi Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Good work with this big crane, I want one for Xmas . Quote
timslegos Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 That is a huge crane! That is really cool that you managed to lift up the whole truck. tim Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 You made a great job on your crane,a crane It is defiantly on my to build list. Quote
matias bendtsen Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 thanks You made a great job on your crane,a crane It is defiantly on my to build list. but you are not going to have instructions. Good work with this big crane, I want one for Xmas . i dont think so but if alasdair realy want one, he might visit me and make instructions. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 I do not think i will have much time on my hands but i will try,I will need some very clear pictures sent to me. Quote
matias bendtsen Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 a gear fell out anyway, so i have to remove the top part, then i can take some pictures of the inside. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 It would need to be built in 'bits' so if you could seperate them or break it down into parts that would be a great help, mayby you should ask around to see if any one else might help with instructions. Quote
matias bendtsen Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 its impossible to take it apart in large bits, because it is made as one whole piece, only the crane can be removed by 6 pins. but i have many pics of it without the crane part and wheels here. the axles are modified from the unimog, if it helps. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 (edited) Ah,I build my models in parts and then join them together. Two differant styles of building. Your file is now public however i can't help you as the quantity and the detail of the pictures are not there. Edited May 31, 2012 by Alasdair Ryan Quote
Saberwing40k Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 The crane is incredible, especially since you somehow got it to lift an entire 8110. Quote
matias bendtsen Posted June 7, 2012 Author Posted June 7, 2012 now i have modified my unimog with this frontaxle: (higly reccomended, it works great) and made it remote controlled: also i have modified my minimog with a cheery picker and a tipping trailer, some smaller wheels and a winch: Quote
matias bendtsen Posted June 14, 2012 Author Posted June 14, 2012 I just found some pictures, from when my collection was very few sets and all my parts was sorted i colors only, and color did not matter. (sorry about the quality, they have been printed from my computer, then deleted, so i had to scan them again ) this one i really like the idea, about a tractor- thing, but with a bed on the front, and lift in front and rear, ofcourse, fully remote controlled this truck has been modified slightly here a kind of tracked tractor, also remote controlled. with a few attachments, thet also fit the other two anyone else got some pictures of their first MOC's/MOD's ? Quote
matias bendtsen Posted June 23, 2012 Author Posted June 23, 2012 now i need some advice, with my next MOC. my hopto excavator is easy to remove from the truck, so i want to make a crane that fits instead. i want someting like this, where the whole boom is carried on the truck so it is ready to lift withou help of another crane to put it togheter. (and with some extra sections) but i cant find any pictures, so i want to know if it is realistic or not. this is also a solution, but i dont like that i need another truck for the rest of the boom Quote
matias bendtsen Posted August 23, 2012 Author Posted August 23, 2012 it is a long time ago i have posted any mocs, this thread was on page 11. but now i have updated my mobile crane, so the crane part is stronger and lighter, now the whole crane tips over before the turntable fails. i have also finished another MOC, this time a terberg terminal tractor, mostly used at ports to move semitrailers. this have a sliding door in the back of the cab to allow easy acess to the connection hoses for the trailers. a short video: more pics here when approved. comments welcome:wink: Quote
