Posted February 18, 201213 yr I can´t sleep and I was tired of trials, tractors and heavy machinery so I returned to cars. This night I started to build this and everything was so good and fast that I can´t believe. It has a 7 speed gearbox with reverse and suspension. I don´t know if I will use power functions maybe not, I want something fast and easy. I know who are people that will recognize the car model... Sheepo don´t shoot so fast this time let me play a little . If everything is so fast that this night the car will be finish soon . I hope you like.
February 18, 201213 yr my first thought on the first picture was: caterham super 7 will it be something like this?
February 18, 201213 yr Author No... caterham super 7 has a 6 speed gearbox but is a nice car, it will have bodyframe and won´t be a roadster. Edited February 18, 201213 yr by jorgeopesi
February 18, 201213 yr [...] Sheepo don´t shoot so fast this time let me play a little [...] Ok, I will be a good boy... If I am not mistaken today only exist one car with 7 speeds manual gearbox... but this moc can not be that because the gearbox position are not correct... Ignoring the gearbox type, and looking the gearbox shifter position, it has front engine, and also probably rear wheel drive because I don't see the gearbox connected to front wheels. With this configutation I know a lot of cars, and I can't choose one... with more info and pictures maybe...
February 18, 201213 yr Doesn't the new 911 have a 7 speed...? This one looks a little long to be that though... I've been hearing rumors from Chevy of a 7 Speed coming to the Corvette, but that hasn't happened yet... I think Mercedes has a 7 Speed transmission, but I don't think it is a Manual... BMW may also make a 7 speed, but that may be paddle shifting though...
February 18, 201213 yr I think Paul Boratko has guessed it correctly -- see the 22 ea. 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Spy Photos from Car and Driver magazine. The proportions look right.... Edited February 18, 201213 yr by DLuders
February 18, 201213 yr Author When I read Sheepo I began to fear . First thing is a easy and small model, not very difficult to take a break... Gearbox will be manual for no room for the real one and the position of the gearbox also hasn´t got importance, is there to make it low the car, in fact I will have to put the gearbox before the rear axle, its correct position, if I want to put the V8 fake engine more low... It isn´t a Veyron or a BMW... but someone has posted something yet... and yes it is a rear wheel drive car...
February 18, 201213 yr Doesn't a Koenigsegg Agera have a 7-speed gearbox ? And a V8 engine and RWD ? Edited February 18, 201213 yr by Jurgen Krooshoop
February 18, 201213 yr Author It isn´t an american car and it isn´t the Agera I think this one has a 6 speed gearbox .
February 18, 201213 yr Audi R8 (7 speed tronic, V8)? No, R8 is AWD... OK, step by step... - Rear wheel drive - 7 speeds gearbox - Front engine - Not american - V8 engine - Not a Veyron or BMW I say... maybe Mercedes-Benz SLS(AMG)??
February 18, 201213 yr Author Sorry not a Gran Turismo, Sheepo win again , someday I will do something that surprises you . The sls always was my first option for a big scale car but its RWD was the problem because I preffer a more complicated trasmision so I choose the R8 with its AWD. Working in a small model, without power functions and space I will built the mercedes, the bodywork and the doors will be the challenge. I am thinking to change the gearbox to lower the fake engine one stud... what do you think?. Audi R8 (7 speed tronic, V8)? Another time not please... , well in fact this has only 6 speed gearbox... R8 Edited February 18, 201213 yr by jorgeopesi
February 19, 201213 yr if you build the sls und you want lower the fake engine, why not a transaxle transmission? like in my 8070 moc?
February 19, 201213 yr Author if you build the sls und you want lower the fake engine, why not a transaxle transmission? like in my 8070 moc? Transmision is not a problem, the problem is all the gearbox, maybe I can put it before the rear axle but I had an idea, I got the stud I need with the suspension, in fact the car was a little high from the ground... If it doesn´t work I will do the gearbox solution with tranaxle if it is posible .
February 21, 201213 yr Author The body looks cool so far, it must be hard to get the nice curves. tim You are right, it is the most dificult thing I preffer the mechanical part very much... this one is very bored...
