Hinckley Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Is Kuso a character's name? I don't see it in the players list. Is it a word I'm not familiar with? This game is so hard to follow with so many names. I don't have the time to keep referring to the players list. Maybe I shouldn't play at work. But I think this will change how I explain things or make accusations in the future. As a player, I'll try to use the character name with the players in parenthesis like when we vote. That way it's easier for outside observers to follow the story.

Fugazi Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 'Kuso' is a Japanese 'swear'-esque word. That was like def saying 'Damn it!'. And sometimes it's spelt Cuusoo, right? Now it all makes sense!

RPGer Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Specatators aren't allowed to play in the discussion thread. Vote: Scouty (Scouty) Vote : Flipz ( Flipz ). He's had weird behavoir during the day plus attacking Scouts, but the real factor is that he's got a goatee. See ya tomorrow ya scum. Go Townies!

fhomess Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Minor forum question... how is everyone quoting the old day threads? I can't reply to locked threads, so I have to build the quote manually, but other people are quoting with the full date and time as if they can quote easily. Is that because you're moderators or are you adding all that in manually?

Masked Builder Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Then you hit the "start new topic button" and you get all of the posts you quoted.
Professor Flitwick Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Then you hit the "start new topic button" and you get all of the posts you quoted. What? I don't believe you need to start a new thread to get all of your multiquoted quotes, just using the 'Add Reply' button works. Just tested it, you can just do it through the 'Add Reply' button.

Brickdoctor Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 That doesn't seem to work for me. Especially with locked topics. Works fine for me.Though I do notice that on iOS, the second multiquote button I click will function as a reply button, not multiquote, but on my computer, Multiquote works the normal way on locked topics.
fhomess Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Ah, thanks! I didn't realize multiquote would work across threads.
Hinckley Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Then you hit the "start new topic button" and you get all of the posts you quoted. The same works if you hit "Add Reply" to the topic you want to reply to. This would also cut out the extra steps of selecting all, cutting and then pasting them into a new post in the current day thread. That doesn't seem to work for me. Especially with locked topics. It doesn't work especially with locked topics? You'll have to be more specific about the problem you're having with it if you expect help. If it's not working, I have the strong suspicion that you are not understanding the conversation or how multiquote works. Can you describe what you are doing and we can tell you what you are doing wrong?

I'm not part of this game, but I just wanted to say that since I updated my computer to Internet Explorer 9, I haven't been able to Multi-Quote. When I hit the Multi-Quote button on a post, it acts as though I clicked "Reply" instead. It isn't an issue most of the time, but it might become one if I get into a Mafia, where multi-quoting is almost a necessity.

Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari... I've only ever heard of problems like this on EB from users using IE.Though it's worth noting that I didn't seem to have any problem when I tried surfing EB with IE10 Beta the other day. Can't remember if I used Multi-quote. I'll have to check later.

Darth Nihilus Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 There's your problem, try a browser that actually works IE 9 has worked a lot better for me than any other IE browser, might have to look into something else. I do have Firefox, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to work on my Windows 7 Professional (It stops responding after a few minutes browsing). I've tried reinstalling it, too.

I'm paranoid I'll loose all the stuff I've "found" so I tend to like the "cut and paste" method. I don't need any help. Not sure where you're getting that from. I was just saying that I can not reply to locked topics. I think this all spawned when fhomess asked about how we got all of the post information from locked topics and I was still talking about that.

As others have stated, try using something that isn't made by Microsoft. Oh yeah I see that now. I'm paranoid I'll loose all the stuff I've "found" so I tend to like the "cut and paste" method. You can't reply to locked topics but you can multiquote from them. You're not connecting the two.

I guess not, but I was trying to say that. Maybe I'm just talking in circles.

Me, though I haven't tried Firefox since upgrading my PC. I should probably try that. One thing to note: if you click Multi-Quote and it automatically jumps to "reply", if it's a locked topic it'll stay selected as a multi-quote, so you can just click "new topic" from the error page and then copy-paste.
