That wasn't meant as a compliment either :look:

Anyway, the original point was, let's not give everyone attitude unless it's really, really called for :sweet:

No, but sometimes I like the way I word things and that quote you put together summarised that.

Anyway like you said, enough now. :sweet: Back to the game and that amazing dragon!

I'm still missing a lot of night actions you guys. The first part of the night ends in about 3 hours. I'm going to postpone the deadline with 8 hours (just the amount of time I use to sleep). If you don't manage to send in your actions before that time, you lose your action for that night.

By postponing the deadline I am doing both teams a favor. Since I love you both

Unsolicited advice: Screw the lazy players. A deadline is a deadline.

Day 2 is up. Tonight I will not tolerate lateness with night actions. If you choose not to use your night action you also have to report this within the first 12 hours.

Nice job Kiel, that was a good single post you managed  See you next round

Actually, I managed to post twice. Well, I think I have the dubious record for the shortest mafia stint ever in the history of EB(?) Too bad I was already warming up as I had two suspects on my mind leading to today's events. Oh well, I guess I'll just take this as a complement. :sweet:

Good luck to everybody, both Town and Scum!

I'm deeply honored. :cry_happy: I'd like to thank my fellow Townies for the close-to-zero interaction, as well as to my scum adversaries for giving me back my mafia break rest.

Awww poor Kiel. I could say that was uncalled for, but you were obviously doing solid work for Town. So thank you for that. You may have had a short stint, but to me, your "guest appearance" of sorts has been one of the best throughout the game...

I could say that was uncalled for

I think it was kinda fair, considering I wasn't really part of the original line-up and ADHO also didn't had the time to play or even post (and I really didn't do anything to be considered a threat), so I guess it's best for Lloyd Jr.'s character to be 'removed' from the game.

EDIT:

badboy,

Will there be a dead writeboard?

OK, I MUST Know: what head did you use on the ninja?? In black and white, it makes me think SO much of hypnotized Cole from Ninjago, and so I MUST have it. Gimme!

Also, IMO, if a player fails to send in night actions two game nights in a row, they should be replaced from the wait list. Just my ¥1.6238, feel free to disregard.

EDIT:

The town blocker, who we'll just call the Roadrunner for now,

Being a substitute Hinckley much? Now you must start writing plays.

Can we just rename this game to Yakuza Metagaming Mafia? I know metagaming will always be part of EB mafia games, but I'm just utterly surprised by the overly blatant metagaming levels this game has reached. It seems some players can't even be bothered to address other players by their character names or to re-word their posts to conform to the Yakuza setting/story. I agree with what iamded said before, why not just remove the characters altogether and just have EB members just play against each other since they're just ignoring even the basics of role-playing. Sorry for pointing this out, just an observation coming from an avid "ninja" watcher from the sidelines.

I absolutely agree with that. While I myself am not much of a roleplay, as I'll admit, I have at least tried to keep a minimum of roleplaying. I really like the setting, and I must say, the amount of roleplay MetroiD has shown in today's thread was no way annoying or seeemed to hinder him playing the game. Of course people don't have to be like that, but using character names etc. should be standard. :sadnew:

I'd like to respond on KielDaMan and Peanuts post. I am no going t punish anyone for the amount of roleplaying they do or don't do. I'd just want to let you know that I put a lot of work in creating the theme, the names, characters and so on. So not using those is utterly disrespectful to the host.

Please keep in mind that I've been using the names they were given when you read this.

It's day two, and there are 30 players, so it's quite a lot to remember every name, especially when writing quickly. Once you're replying, you can't see the "names" of the people as the signatures aren't shown in the topic summary below. More than once, after I started writing, I had to open another window back to page one to check the names of people.

So, I think it's not done to disrespect you. I think it'll get better each day as players go down, and the names become more familiar.

Thanks for your hard work as host

Sheesh, what's with everyone being so harsh? This is a game, people. I'm all the way back here in the audience and I can feel the heat, I can't imagine what it must be like to be the target of such vitriol.

We've had this discussion two games in a row, do we REALLY need to do it again? :hmpf::hmpf_bad:

I agree with Def above, its not that we don't adore the theme, its truly a sensational game to be apart of. Its just that sometimes when you have done your 3 page catching up and opened a reply, you cant be bothered to find the names. The fact that they are foreign names makes it harder to remember. However I am sure that by day 4 and further, many more people will use the correct names as it will be stuck in their memory.

Well if your talking about name-calling then I think that some people need to realise that this is 18+ so they should be able to handle a bit of that in game. However when it gets to the point of calling someone something worse like we saw in IMHOTEP at one point, it should be dealt with.

If your talking about roleplaying then I guess its more up to the host on how to act about this, for some players roleplaying is a major part of the game idea, however others are more relaxed. Neither is right and I think its a lot easier said than done to be constantly roleplaying.

I forgot to add a shit load of emoticons to make this post look a bit less angry. So I'm going to make up for that now:

:grin::wink::laugh::sweet::blush::tongue::classic:

I know there are a lot of players and I know the names are foreign to you guys. But same goes for me, and I try to use them every time. As we speak I am writing conclusions and I am summarizing what happens at night. I too have to look up the names, every time I write something. So I'd appreciate it if you did too, or at least tried to do so.

I understand that, but there's also the general tone. The counter-accusations are REALLY hate-filled, especially the stuff between Metro and Def, and then there's what you said:

Now could you either stop the arguing for a while or go away because quite frankly Im sick of turning up and having to read through everything you say. Its getting to the point where I am skimming over your "speechs" since 90% of it is pure rubbish which nobody is able to follow.

Everything up to that point was fine, but I see this as crossing the line. Regardless of Def's alliance, he is playing the game, and so he has every right to post (gramatically) coherent posts. (Yes, they are coherent, gramatically speaking, as opposed to the posts of another player who shall go unnamed.) If he's Town, it's his job as an active Townie to post his suspicion and back them up with as much evidence and analysis as he can provide; if he's scum, it's his job to distract and confuse the Town for as long as possible. Either way, he is doing his job in-game by posting, so telling him you're sick of reading his posts is, IMO, uncalled for. (I'm not saying you're not doing your job, I'm saying you might should tone it down a little. )

Let me show you an example of ordinary Mafia harshness that does not cross the line:

Can you stop talking in riddles, stop talking rubbish and start doing something useful god damnit. If maybe you helped us a little maybe when we are safe we might do you a favour and lynch you, just do something useful rather than just being you.

Oh yeah, well thats your word against everyone else's here, telling us inadvertadly to not investigate you is one of the scummiest things I have seen all day. Infact I havent seen you do anything useful that hasnt been drowned out by your stupid and distracting arguments, I would say the same thing for my father in law but at least when he did argue he wasn't spouting megablocks.

Organise  You make me chuckle.

(listed correction edited in, emphasis mine) See, that's an acceptable post. Granted, it's on the 'bad cop' side of the 'good cop/bad cop' routing, but that's the way some people play. The bolded bit is an excellent Mafia insult: it's a great burn, but not overly harsh.

All this is not to say I couldn't take it were I playing, but I wouldn't like it, and I suspect others feel the same. Let's also not forget how early it is in the game; if everyone's already being this harsh, imagine how much worse it will get a few Days down the line, with tensions even higher! :look:
