MetroiD Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Well, for starters, you could refrain from casually calling me your "friend", Yasu - for had it not been for the hard work that my Father and I have put in over the years, your rice empire would never exist. What utter insolence; how my son could marry such a disrespectful woman is beyond me, but I shall not have you in this Family any longer.
TheBoyWonder Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 At not a single point have I reffered to use as a friend.
Scubacarrot Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 I will show you what our friend who called me unhelpful when questioned said.
CorneliusMurdock Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 What a mess this is! Yasu, I don't know what you're thinking with all of this. There was not a single vote leveled against you. There was plenty of time left in the day to claim if it came down to it. All you've done is cause more confusion and neutered yourself if you are telling the truth.
Brickdoctor Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Do you really think after all that's happened she'd even do a fake claim without asking her teammates? I have no idea, really. It's a sad thing to say, but I consider it possible, even though not likely. I agree claiming hurriedly is highly scummy, but the role is not. Unless, of course, she really is a role cop. Honestly, I'm all for investigating her tonight, just to solve this mess. I don't really know. She's done so many things today that don't seem very smart. I find it interesting that you're still trying to imply that Yasu-chan is scum. While I don't trust her completely either, there is no way I'm letting her get lynched today. We'll let the investigator clear her/condemn her tonight, and her fate will be decided tomorrow. I also find it interesting how 'proactive' you're trying to make yourself look this game. I don't remember you being anything more than a sheep for several lives now... Changing your approach since you drew scum again? But your weak attempts to get the town Role Cop lynched are duly noted. Yeah, and what if YOU were a traitor, and this is just an elaborate plan to frame an innocent... Don't get me wrong, I am not accusing you of anything, and that sentence probably deserved a sarcasm tag, but I think you might be having tunnelvision, my dear Emi. The Role Cop role can be very useful for the town indeed, so in my opinion, we should not lynch her. Of course we definitely need to have some investigation or tracking on her tonight. There was another person I noticed had some suspicious behaviour, perhaps it is an idea to check our other options. I'm not implying that I think she's Scum. I don't trust her, and I don't want to gamble with the life of an investigative role. I'm just saying that, right now, she remains the most suspicious suspect in my eyes. I don't want to lynch her, but I'm just saying that I don't see a better option right now.
The Legonater Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 I finally take off my headphones, shut down my laptop, and look around. Sorry, everyone. Clogged inbox and all that. So what's going on? What have I missed, besides Great-Grandfather's vision coming true?
Tamamono Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 I'm not implying that I think she's Scum. I don't trust her, and I don't want to gamble with the life of an investigative role. I'm just saying that, right now, she remains the most suspicious suspect in my eyes. I don't want to lynch her, but I'm just saying that I don't see a better option right now. So wait, you say you don't think she's Scum, yet you don't see a better option than to lynch her? That's ridiculous. You shouldn't vote for someone if you don't think they're scum.
Peanuts Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Is the day getting messier by the second or is it just me? So now our honorable Kumicho has sent a useless message to Yasu-chan? I mean, it's clear she can't respond to that, if she was honorless enough to backstab not only us, but even her scummy teammates, she'd never again get into similar situations in future lives (by the way, are we Buddhist or Shintoist? We are in a temple, but there is a Kami. There is no reincarnation in Shintoism, is there? Just came to think of it... ). And if she is Yakuza, she doesn't know the scum. So, in due respect, your message has not been helpful, Kumicho.
Scubacarrot Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 So wait, you say you don't think she's Scum, yet you don't see a better option than to lynch her? That's ridiculous. You shouldn't vote for someone if you don't think they're scum. I was just about to say that, care to explain?
Cecilie Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 I finally take off my headphones, shut down my laptop, and look around. Sorry, everyone. Clogged inbox and all that. So what's going on? What have I missed, besides Great-Grandfather's vision coming true? Maybe you should pay more attention and figure it out?
Rufus Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Thinking things over, I'm inclined to believe that Yasu is a role cop, but the question remains whether she is scum or town. Role cop could be a useful role for either; perhaps more so for scum who have to find out whom to target at night. But role cop is one of the most verifiable. I target some one you are in contact with, say a doctor, and I verify there roles and tell you. If the actions match I am telling the truth. I can be tracked. I would be stuffed if I was a scum and tracked. Yes, you can be verified as targeting whom you say you are going to target, but how does that help? It would be much more useful if you were to be investigated, but you didn't suggest that. And, Ichirou asked why he should not vote me, so I told him. A bad move if he was scum, but a good move if he was townie.. So why rush to tell him if you don't know? I'm also quite concerned by Itchikoo's answer: :wall: Great job, Yasu-chan. Great job. Voting hasn't even started yet and already you've cracked under the pressure and claimed. This seems more like a panicked scum-plosion to me than a reasoned town response. It sounds like the two of you have been plotting. As you (Itchiroo) would have no reason to trust Yasu's claim, reacting like this doesn't sit well with me. Yes. I contacted her earlier saying that I thought she was scum, but I was willing to listen to reason, and she immediately claimed to me. I'm not sure if I believe it, but Role Cop is a terrible false claim for a scum, so I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. Or maybe she's a scum Role Cop... But a good claim for someone who is a scum role cop. No you didn't. Voting hasn't even started yet! Plenty can change before the Day is over. And now you're going to get blocked/killed/hijacked by the scum. If there's a watcher out there, please keep an eye on Yasu-chan tonight. Again, a watcher proves nothing. If there is an investigator out there, please investigate Yasu tonight. Well, obviously, we're not going to lynch a claimed Role Cop If you say so. I have to agree with Emi here. Why the hell did you claim to me!? I wasn't asking for a claim, I was asking why you said what we're not allowed to talk about! This sounds to me like, 'why did you go and drop me in it too?' Now they could, one or both, be telling the truth, but this sounds to me like scum desperately trying to cover their tracks. If Yasu is scum, it's highly likely that Itchiroo is too. From what I've seen, I'm leaning towards Yasu being a scum role-cop, and therefore I would rather not risk keeping a likely scum around for another day.
MetroiD Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 So, in due respect, your message has not been helpful, Kumicho. My son, I look forward to seeing you age and grow wiser with the years. Hastiness is not a quality that persists once you have seen what I have seen, so, while I respect your cautious way of stating your disagreement, I urge you to think. Consider this whole situation we find ourselves in. Consider the outcome of the day, when at least some people's allegiances will become clear. Now consider whether my message has been helpful or not. Because to me, it looks as though it has triggered a tsunami, which seems as though it is backed not only by one member of our Family, but also very much engineered by other accomplices she might have. Is that not helpful to you, my son? Even if I am wrong about my claims that Yasu is not a loyal Yakuza, I will not regret my move. My attempts at probing her for any information she might have, albeit in the form of an outright bluff - though targeted at a very inexperienced family member - have only shown her dishonesty, for that is not how one of us would react. They also seem to have led to her accomplices coming up with equally excessive bluffs. If proven an innocent Yakuza, Yasu will no doubt go down in history as the most useless Yakuza anyway, now that she has effectively written off any chance she might have had to help this family deal with the Mutineers swiftly. We have now effectively lost this role of huge significane to our Family - regardless whether she is voted out or not. Once again, that is appaling.
Fred Daniel Yam Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 I think that there be a possibility that Yasu wants to be lynched. Maybe she is a bomb? Or she is actually the Town Role Cop and she went and role-claimed to two people or she is a Mutineer goon and this is all an elaborate plot to take us all down. What utter insolence; how my son could marry such a disrespectful woman is beyond me, but I shall not have you in this Family any longer. My brain was melted by her mind games.
Tamamono Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 I was just about to say that, care to explain? Wait, are you asking me to explain, or Emi-chan to explain? But a good claim for someone who is a scum role cop. I had actually said that maybe she's a scum role cop. Again, a watcher proves nothing. If there is an investigator out there, please investigate Yasu tonight. Yes, sorry, I had already said in private that she should be investigated, so I forgot to say it in public too. Now they could, one or both, be telling the truth, but this sounds to me like scum desperately trying to cover their tracks. If Yasu is scum, it's highly likely that Itchiroo is too. From what I've seen, I'm leaning towards Yasu being a scum role-cop, and therefore I would rather not risk keeping a likely scum around for another day. I agree that scum role cop is a plausible role, so it's important to clear her. Yasu-chan should be investigated tonight, and if it would make everyone sleep better, then someone should go ahead and investigate me too. Although I find it interesting that this accusation is coming up right after I pointed out how strange Emi-chan is acting...
Rick Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Thinking things over, I'm inclined to believe that Yasu is a role cop, but the question remains whether she is scum or town. Role cop could be a useful role for either; perhaps more so for scum who have to find out whom to target at night. Indeed, people seem to be assuming it's a town role (claim), but - especially with so many family members - it could be very useful to the mutineers as well. Itchiroo, who always seems to know how certain night abilities can best be used, also seems to ignore the possibility of investigating Yasu tonight. 'What if'? We'll choose her target for her, and hopefully the watcher and the tracker will have to common sense to go for her tonight.
Brickdoctor Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 So wait, you say you don't think she's Scum, yet you don't see a better option than to lynch her? That's ridiculous. You shouldn't vote for someone if you don't think they're scum. Poor choice of wording on my part. You said that I was implying that Yasu is Scum, which I interpreted as you saying that I was certain that Yasu was Scum, even after the role claim. I'm saying that I'm not convinced that Yasu is Scum, but I still suspect that she is, and even after the role claim, I don't see a better option for the lynch.
Professor Flitwick Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 *sniff* I, like several others here, don't want to see a potential role cop lynched today. Yasu can be verified during the night, and in the mean time, we should look to other alternatives. I've compiled a list, detailing how many times each person has spoken up today. I'm fully aware that this day isn't even one third finished, but it would allow ample time to allow people to speak up. *I do apologies if I've missed anyone's posts/somebody posts whilst I'm typing speaking. Emi/Brickdoctor – 20 Yasu/TheBoyWonder – 17 Isamu/Peanuts – 17 Nobuo/MetroiD – 13 Chieko/Subbacarrot – 12 Ichirou/Tamamono – 8 Norio/def – 7 Kenta/Nightshroud – 6 Shizuko/CallMePieOrDie – 6 Yoshiko/Cecille – 6 Manga/Cornelius – 5 Setsuku/fhomes – 4 Hiroki/Etzel – 4 Cherry Blossom/WhiteFang – 4 Hanako/Professor Flitwick – 4 Momoe/Rufus – 4 Akira/Bob – 3 Akio/Rumble Strick – 3 Minoru/VolcanicPanik – 3 Kin/Rick – 3 Shiro/Apolex – 2 Daisuke/Scorpiox – 2 Saburo/Masked Builder – 2 Jirou/JimButcher – 2 Lizzy/Redblade – 2 Yasuko/RelicyC – 1 Tamiko/Zakura – 1 Akio/iamded – 1 Noriko/Eskallon – 1 Tadao/Legonator – 1 Lloyd Jr./ADHO15 – 0 Maniko/Swils – 0 *sniff* A lot of people have only spoken once, with a few keeping totally silent. I know at this early stage this isn't any real indicator (particularly when people have genuine reasons for being unable to post being busy), but it doesn't help show who is willing to help, and who isn't even bothering.
Scubacarrot Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Wait, are you asking me to explain, or Emi-chan to explain? Emi, of course .
Tachyon Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 I'm on the idea of an investigator in this family.
Fred Daniel Yam Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 I'm on the idea of an investigator in this family. That has already been brought up.
Tamamono Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Okay, apparently, looking back at my private discussions, I didn't say that she would be investigated. Sorry, Momoe-sama! Itchiroo, who always seems to know how certain night abilities can best be used, also seems to ignore the possibility of investigating Yasu tonight. No, I certainly wasn't ignoring it, I guess I just forgot. Besides, if I was scum, and I ignored the possibility of her being investigated, then I don't think that would stop the investigator from going after her. Any investigator with half a brain would target her tonight. But thank you for saying that I always know how night abilities can best be used. Okay, sorry for the misunderstanding, Emi-chan. I don't see much of a better option either, but there are plenty of lurkers around for us to lynch I guess.
The Legonater Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Alright, now that I have read up listened to the day's events, I must say I am rather alerted. Yasu does seem rather foolish, but it would seem that there is a ring of truth to his words. However. We must consider what else this could mean. A logical Scum would have Yasu deleted, no? I mean, a key program like him would be a danger to their projects. A known danger. However, if he survives the night, than perhaps this means he is Scum, as they would have reason to keep him alive. Of course, there are a few variables in this equation, such as protecters, vigilantes, and so on. But at the core, it is logical. I think.
Tachyon Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 But how about a investigator that can detect roles.
Tamamono Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 But how about a investigator that can detect roles. That's a Role Cop. That's what Yasu-chan is.
