They provided some of the technical expertise required by Moranis Szalinski in his creation of his transmogrifier. As a Sharkling, Gurnam processes the body of a man, the head of a shark, and a cut throat business attitude. He encountered a set of heroes from the hall as they sought out to find a missing assistant from the Guild of Invision. Zepher Posted November 7, 2012 Author Posted November 7, 2012 (edited) Dastan Trilogy (Quests 29, 30, 31) Emperor Alandri Fowler - Human - Empire of Dastan Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy Emperor Alandri is the youngest of the three emperors of Dastan. Because of this, he was open to contacting their age-old enemies for assistance defeating the Rogue Lions, but he is also fairly unexperienced in the workings of the empire. Emperor Alandri has some skill with the sword, able to fend off a rebelling Lady Leofwena with an elven blade kept in his study, but he was unable to defend himself during the Battle of Drakencourt, and survived only because of the sacrifices of Sir Lyonel and his minotaur bodyguard. Alive, in Drakencourt Lord Calibor - Human - Chimera Cultists Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy Lord Calibor was a battlemage and a member of the Chimera Cult. He was an expert at creating dense clouds of smoke, and managed to hold off an attacking force of nearly a hundred Lion Knights and Imperial troops with the smoke he conjured, but was eventually killed by heroes who penetrated his clouds. Dead Dragon Commander Constance - Human - Dastan Empire Appeared In: Dastan Trilogy Constance was the leader of the Dragon Knights when the heroes of Quest 30 arrived in Dastan. She showed herself to be ruthless and rude, and an incredible racist against the U'Kin and other minorities. Constance, however, proved her valor in battle, helping to slay a Chaos Beast in Mallelio's home, and saving the heroes alongside Phil just before they were slaughtered in U'Stus' home. Felton enlisted the help of the heroes of Quest 29 to kill her, believing she was a cultist and traitor, though they instead tried to protect her against the heroes of Quest 30, who were fed up with her. The Barbarian Tarn killed her with a Bomb XX. After her death, it was revealed that she was in fact loyal, and was attempting to forge a union with the Dragons. Dead Dmitri Finegold - Human - Finegold Brothers Appeared in: Quest 18, Dastan Trilogy Dmitri is one of the two notorious Finegold brothers. They and their small organization of criminals are a general nuisance to all houses of Eubric. They specialize in stealing and kidnapping, often demanding ransoms from the rich families that control Eubric. Dmitri escaped the grasp of the heroes of Quest 18, and was last seen sailing toward the Fang Coast before the events of Quest #29. After sailing to the Fang Coast and losing most of his crew, Dmitri wandered around the eastern regions until coming upon a small town known as Voulun, in Dastan. There, he met the cultist Gottfried, who convinced Dmitri that if he joined the cult, he could revive his fallen brother, Edward. Little did Dmitri know, necromancy could only go so far, and Gottfried used this to his advantage. Manipulating Dmitri's wit and skill, the cult benefited from his involvement. Before he could revive his brother, however, the heroes of Quest #29 finished what those of Quest #18 started by defeating him along Gottfried and his section of the cult. All that remains of the Finegold brothers are a few journal entries. Dead Sir Earl Poletad - Frog - Frog Paladins Appeared in: Quest 19, Dastan Trilogy, 38 Sir Poletad was saved by the heroes in a factory in Haddon. Afterwards, he fought alongside the heroes. He is extremely brave and proud of himself, though he often times over-estimates his ability, and is sheepish about how brave he is. In Dastan, Poletad proved himself to care more about doing what he found morally right, as opposed to fighting Wren. He helped to protect all members of Dastan, including helping the heroes save Mallelio instead of chasing Wren. Mallelio returned the favor by going to save Hans and Poletad in the Battle of Drakencourt. Poletad has promised to be in Eubric when Wren arrives. Alive, Whereabouts Unknown Ella Septrine - Human - Dastan Empire Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy Ella Septrine is the daughter of Emperor Severus Septrine, one of the three Emperors of Dastan. She is shown to be stubborn and strong-willed, along as kind-hearted. She is a advocate for U'Kin rights, and wants to befriend both the Dragons and the Rito. She is also gifted with sights, able to foresee events that will happen. While the heroes were in Dastan Ella used them for her own missions. She asked them to protect U'Stus, and then used Atramor and Tarn to vanquish the ghost of her long dead ancestor, Emperor Brunt, so that the wall dividing the U'Kin from the rest of the city could finally be taken down. Wren attempted to make off with her, but was prevented by the heroes. Ella is the student of Mallelio, and the two are very good friends. She appears to have some sort of feelings for Tarn. Alive, In Drakencourt Felton - Human – High Kingdoms Town/Wren Hunters Appeared in: Quest 7, 19, Dastan Trilogy, 38 Felton is darkly practical and cynical at times, though these two traits help him see through trickery easily, and his grasp of good and evil is extremely sound. He is good friends with Hans. Felton hails from a small town in the High Kingdoms, but has now devoted his life to catching Wren. After she kidnapped him for the Arena, where he first met the heroes, he helped them break out, and swore to eradicate her. Later, in Haddon, he was separated from Hans and the heroes, realized that they are backing the wrong side of the war, and joined the guards. His double sided with the Rebels, but was eventually figured out, and his copy was killed. He assisted the guards in winning the war. He then left Haddon to track down Wren. In Dastan, Felton once more met the heroes. His friend, Hans, told the heroes that Felton had been scarred by his experience in Haddon, and was now incredibly paranoid. He assisted them in a number of tasks, though his main objective remained stopping Wren. After he convinced a group of heroes to kill Constance, the Leader of the Dragon Knights whom Felton mistakenly believed to be a Cultist and traitor, Felton was thrown in jail. He later redeemed himself by figuring out the enemy was using a tunnel system to travel the city. During the Battle of Drakencourt he survived a fight in the prison. Felton arrived in the Valley of Peace after the heroes have fought the Last General. He swore that he and his gang will be there to assist the heroes when they fight Wren next. Alive, Whereabouts Unknown Flavius and Denerii - Rito - Dastan Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy Flavius and Denerii are two members of the Rito clan, a legendary race known for their ability to fly thanks to their natural wings. Before the Battle for Dastan, the Rito mostly stayed to themselves, avoiding contact with other species in Dastan at all costs. They much preferred to live by their own means rather than follow any government imposed on them. However, in Dastan's most desperate times, the Rito were called upon to help. Several heroes involved in the Battle for Dastan proved themselves in battle with the Rito, which convinced the winged warriors to assist in defending the capitol, Drakencourt. Flavius and Denerii, along with the rest of the Rito clan, are now slowly assimilating themselves to Dastan's government and becoming a part of the empire, though they will always maintain their cultural roots. Alive, In Dastan Gottfried - Human - Chimera Cultists Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy Gottfried was one of the head cultists of an organization in Dastan concerned with necromancy. More importantly, these cultists attempted an ancient beast that plagued Dastan many years ago, known as the Chimera. He was responsible for recruiting many cultists near the city of Voulun, including Dmitri Finegold. He was defeated by the heroes of Quest #29, under the instruction of Roland Emeraldo. Dead Hans - Human – High Kingdoms Town/Wren Hunters Appeared in: Quest 7, 19, Dastan Trilogy, 38 Hans is a simple man who is aware that he is simple. He is occasionally a pessimist, and often times cuts directly to the chase. He is a little violent and hot headed, but seems to have a good heart. He’s good friends with Felton. Hans hails from a small town in the High Kingdoms, but has now devoted his life to catching Wren. After she kidnapped him for the Arena, where he first met the heroes, he helped them break out, and swore to eradicate her. Later, in Haddon, he fought alongside the Rebels and the heroes until they meet the real Felton. After that, Hans assisted the guards in winning the war. He then left Haddon to track down Wren. In Dastan, Hans told the heroes his primary objective was to stop Wren, though he is more receptive than Felton to helping protect the nobles. He fought alongside a number of heroes in various battles while trying to track down the Dark Lady. During the Battle of Drakencourt, he was pinned down somewhere in the city alongside Poletad. Mallelio went to his rescue. Hans arrived in the Valley of Peace after the heroes had fought the Last General. He swore that he and his gang will be there to assist the heroes when they fight Wren next. Alive, Whereabouts Unknown Sir Lamorak - Human - Lion Knights, Rogue Lion Knights Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy Sir Lamorak was captain of Sir Leonard's guards before he left for Dastan with Sir Loren and the Rogue Lion Knights. Fairly inexperienced in the strategy and politics involved in the big picture of staging a rebellion, Sir Lamorak didn't see much action until the Battle of Drakencourt, when he entered the palace in pursuit of Emperor Alandri Fowler with Sir Loren, Lord Lucan, and a force of Rogue Lions. He would fight long and hard in the battle but was finally slain by the Heroica hunter, Skrall. Dead Sir Laurant - Human - Lion Knights, Rogue Lion Knights Appeared In: Dastan Trilogy Sir Laurant was one of Sir Leonard's best tacticians, before he left with Sir Loren and the Rogue Lions to conquer Dastan. He commanded the massive Rogue Lion army that attacked Drakencourt from the south, but he and his army were defeated by a combined Lion-Imperial force. Sir Laurant rallied his men and led them into battle himself from atop a hill in the middle of the battlefield, but he was pinned down by crossbow fire and could only watch as his army was split up and fell apart around him, before he was killed. Dead Sir Leofard - Human - Lion Knights Appeared in: Quests 17, Dastan Trilogy Sir Leofard is one of the more experienced Lion Knights. Now the commander of the Lions army, Sir Leofard reports directly to Count Lewis Knyghton, taking over the position once occupied by Sir Loren. As a swordsman and a warrior, Sir Leofard has no match among the Lion Knights, but he lacks some social skills. Lady Leofwena was once his squire. Sir Leofard has also worked as a military advisor, to Emperor Alandri Fowler of Dastan. Alive, In Uland Lady Leofwena - Human - Lion Knights, Chimera Cultists Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy The last of a noble Lion family, Lady Leofwena used her influence to get the majority of the other nobles to convince Sir Leonard to allow her to become a knight. She was the squire of Sir Leofard. Lady Leofwena despised what she believed to be weak Lion Knights and heroes of Heroica. She joined the Chimera Cult in hopes of finishing what her ancestors had started in summoning a mythical beast to destroy the dragons of Dastan. Revealing her true allegiances and attempting to escape from the Lion Knights, she was surrounded by Lions and killed by heroes. Dead Sir Leonard Kniveton - Human - Lion Knights Appeared in: Quests 4, 17, Dastan Trilogy The former leader of the Lion Knights, Sir Leonard hasn't seen much action, but he has guided the Lions from outcasts wandering the seas to becoming a minor power in Eubric with a respectably-sized standing army. Following the defeat of the Lions' enemies in battle, Sir Leonard has chosen to retire, appointing a member of the nobility, Count Lewis Knyghton, as his successor. Alive, In Uland Count Lewis Knyghton - Human - Lion Knights Appeared in: Quests 17, Dastan Trilogy One of the few remaining nobles among the Lion Knights, Count Lewis has developed an interest in siege engines and other machines of war. He has accompanied heroes working with the Lions on more than one occasion. Following Sir Leonard's decision to step down and remain only as leader of the army itself, Count Lewis has been appointed the political leader of the Lion Knights and resides in Bric'Bay Castle. Alive, Bric'Bay Castle, Uland Sir Loren - Human - Lion Knights, Rogue Lion Knights Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy Sir Loren was the military commander of the Lion Knights under Sir Leonard. After the Lions won at Bric'Bay Fort, Sir Loren planned and, working with Sir Leofard, staged the counter-offensive that lead to the complete defeat of what remained of Lord Keveak's elven army. Convinced that the Lions could become a military power feared the world over, Sir Loren traveled to Dastan with more than half of the entire Lion army, recruited Teuthisal and Pongcanae along the way, and marched on Drakencourt. While his general, Sir Laurant, attacked the southern wall of the city, Sir Loren, two of his lieutenants, Sir Lamorak and Lord Lucan, and a force of Rogue Lions entered the palace in pursuit of Emperor Alandri Fowler. Caught in the midst of a battle involving Chaos Beasts, Chimera Cultists, traitorous imperials, Lion Knights, Rito and heroes of Heroica he remained fighting to the bitterest end until he was finally overwhelmed by those he had sought to destroy. Dead Lord Lucan Kynestone - Human - Lion Knights, Rogue Lion Knights Appeared in: Quests 30, 31 Lord Lucan was a Lion noble who left with Sir Loren and the Rogue Lion Knights in their plan to conquer Dastan. Lord Lucan paid for many of the weapons used by the Rogue Lions and financed the projects that the Rogue Lions used to convince the Teuthisal and Pongcanae to join them. With Sir Loren, Sir Lamorak, and a force of Rogue Lions, he followed Emperor Alandri Fowler to the palace during the Battle of Drakencourt, and while wielding his deadly poison, he met his end at the hands of the Heroica rogue, Isabella del Toboso. Dead Luke - Elf - Lion Knights Appeared in: Quests 17, Dastan Trilogy An elven sage, Luke is Sir Leonard's personal healer. As such, his primary concern is Sir Leonard's health, but the Lion's leaders have often sent him to assist heroes working with the Lions. It is unknown to which group of elves Luke comes from, but considering his beard and his actions at Bric'Bay Fort, it is probably safe to say that he is not a Brobric Elf. Alive, In Uland Sir Lyonel - Human - Lion Knights Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy Though he trained as a knight, Sir Lyonel's skill was with words and politics. He was a political advisor both to Sir Leonard Kniveton, leader of the Lion Knights, and to Emperor Alandri Fowler, one of the three emperors of Dastan. He was a rival of Sir Leofard, whom Sir Lyonel believed was an uncivilized, unlearned warrior, more of a barbarian than a knight. During the Battle of Drakencourt, he initially retreated as a coward to save himself, but sacrificed himself to save Emperor Alandri. Dead Sir Lyons - Human - Rogue Lion Knights Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy Sir Lyons was the Rogue Lion Knight sent to deal directly with the Rebels, Chimera Cultists, and Wren. He worked alongside them until the other Lion Knights showed up, at which point he assumed command of a force once again. He seemed primarily interested in power for the Lion Knights. Sir Lyons led the first wave of attack in the Battle of Drakencourt, leading a huge force of Lion Knights through the secret tunnel systems under Drakencourt, and was killed when Phil took a hammer to his face. Dead Mallelio - Human - Dastan Empire Mallelio is the teacher of Ella Septrine and an advisor in all things magical to Emperor Septrine. The heroes were tasked with his protection while in Dastan. Chimera Cultist broke into his house in Drakencourt with the assistance of Wren, and dragged him away to be sacrificed. He was saved by Nyx, Tarn and Poletad. He proved himself to be a true friend to the heroes. Mallelio put in a good word for them when they murdered Constance, and helped to banish the dead Emperor Brunt's spirit. Mallelio rallied the remaining Dragon Knights in the Battle of Drakencourt and arrived at the palace to clean up the attackers who remained outside. Alive, In Dastan Mane, Paw & Claw - Pongcanis, U'Kin & Human - Chimera Cultists Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy. Mane, Paw and Claw were three high-ranking Chimera Cultists who were all killed over the course of the heroes' stay in Dastan. Dead The Minotaur - Minotaur - The Empire of Dastan Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy The name, age, and origin of this minotaur are unknown. He worked as the bodyguard of Dastan's Emperor Alandri Fowler, who often sent him to accompany the emperor's guests and, later, heroes, much to his annoyance. He believed that he should be constantly at the emperor's side. During the Battle of Drakencourt, he slew dozens of Rogue Lions and their Teuthisal and Pongcanis allies, but he was ultimately killed while covering the emperor's retreat. Dead Nikolai - Human - Dastan Empire Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy Nikolai is a commanding member of the Dastan Military. The heroes of Quest 30 saved him from XX before he was shipped off to the front lines. After Emperor Emeraldo defected, Nikolai returned to lead the heroes of Quest 29. He took them on a mission of good will to the Rito, and assisted them in the protection of Drakencourt. Alive, In Drakencourt Phil/Victor Phyllius – Human – The Empire of Dastan Appeared in: Quest 7, Dastan Trilogy Phil is first encountered in the Arena of Wren in Quest 7. He reveals that he offered himself as tribute when Wren demanded a captive from the town he was staying in. Phil escapes with the heroes, and then disappears. It is later revealed that Phil, or rather Victor, is an Ambassador to the High Kingdoms from Dastan. He invites the heroes to help the Emeperors prevent a series of assassinations. Throughout the heroes’ stay in Dastan he proves himself, fierce, loyal, resourceful, and honorable. He is eventually named the next Emperor of Dastan. Alive, In Drakencourt Roland Emeraldo - Human - The Dastan Empire, No Allegiance Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy Roland Emeraldo was once one of three emperors of Dastan, before he betrayed his government in favor of a new one run by various rogue factions. He was highly favored by the citizens of his empire because of his dedication to them, including minor species such as the Tehtusial and Pongcanis. Once he was discovered of treachery, he tried to flee during the Battle for Dastan, but was captured and tried for his crimes. He has been banished to the neighboring Babeleth Darklands, forbidden to return to Dastan ever again. Alive, In Babeleth Darklands Russel - Human - The Dastan Empire Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy Russel was a leading officer of the Dastanese military, and Emperor Roland Emeraldo's head bodyguard and right-hand man. He traveled everywhere that Emeraldo did, and followed orders to the T. However, he was also an effective general, leading his troops and dominating the battlefield. He was killed while trying to cover Emeraldo's escape during the Battle for Dastan. Dead Emperor Severus Septrine - Human - Dastan Empire Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy Emperor Severus Septrine is one of the three Emperors of Dastan, Ella's father, and the employer of the heroes of Quest 30. He charged them with the protection of five important political persons, three of which they were able to save. Emperor Severus and the heroes had a rocky relationship, his faith particularly shaken in them when they killed Constance. He however appreciated the heroes' protection in the Battle of Drakencourt, and even allowed them to appoint a new Emperor after Roland was exiled. Alive, In Drakencourt Sphinx - Human - Chimera Cultists Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy Sphinx was a Chimera Cultist in the land of Dastan. He and his men attempted to kidnap and sacrifice Mallelio, though when the heroes defeated Sphinx, he allowed Mallelio to go as promised. Sphinx proved himself to be a man of honor and faith, who truly believed in and worshipped his God, the Chimera. Eventually, Sphinx was able to bring his God to Olegia, though the heroes slew it with the help of Vipera. Sphinx disappeared, only to reappear as Wren's captive as she fled Dastan. Alive, Whereabouts Unknown U'Stus - U'Kin - Dastan Empire Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy U'Stus was a leader of the U'Kin populace, advocating fair rights. Severus asked the heroes to protect him, though he refused the protection as he believed it would alienate him from the people he led, seeing as they all too often did not get protection themselves. U'Stus was killed by his old ally turned radical terrorist, U'Vires, who hoped that his death would spur the U'Kin into revolt. Dead U'Vires - U'Kin - Rebels of Dastan U'Vires is a radical leader of the U'kin who lobbied for his species political freedom through violence. U'Vires allied himself with many people he found repugnant to try to win peace for his people. His allies included Wren, the Rogue Lion Knights, and the Chimera Cultists. He killed U'Stus in hopes of motivating his people, an attempt that failed. He called off all attacks while the heroes stopped the Chimera, a threat he found too large. He fought in the battle of Drakencourt, but was disabled by Atramor. Later, he attempted to shoot Wren, who he recognized as a true threat to equality, freedom and peace, but she burned him alive and fled. Dead Vipera Callidus the Young - Dragon - Dastan Dragons Appeared in: Quest 19, Dastan Trilogy Vipera was freed by Hoke in Haddon and remained by his side throughout the events of the entire quest. Vipera then flew home to her homeland across the sea. When the heroes arrived in Dastan, Vipera contacted them. She helped them for help, explaining that Sphinx was planning to bring back the ancient enemy of the Dragons, the Chimera, and that her race had grown too complacent to do anything, believing that perhaps their time on the face of Olegia was over. She aided the heroes in fighting the Chimera. In the Battle of Drakencourt she made contact possible in the Palace. Alive, In Dastan Viviane - Human - Empire of Dastan Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy Viviane was the owner of a cantina in southern Drakencourt. Alive, in Dastan Lady Wren - Human - Wren/Zoot Appeared in: Quest 7, 19, Dastan Trilogy, 38 Wren is a worshiper of Chaos and plans to take power from the God Zoot. She is known to control "Chaos Beasts". Once, while still a member of Heroica, she defeated a young Skrall. Her first run in with the Heroes of the Hall was at an Arena, somewhere in the High Kingdoms, in which she forced the heroes to fight each other and eventually kill the head of the games, Draco. She fled, and was later found in the town of Haddon. In Haddon she tricked Felton and Hans into thinking that the Rebels were the side they should support, though in fact the Guards of the town were in the right. When the real Felton was separated from Hans and figured out that the Guards were clearly in the right, she created a copy of Felton to string along the heroes. Though the heroes eventually caught the Fake Felton and correctly sided with the Guards to win the war, the damage was done, as Wren did not care who won, just that it was an even enough match to cost both sides lives. She also explained that she does not think the world is “good” or “evil” and that Chaos reigns. She knows what she does hurts others, but she explains they’ll be hurt either way, so she may as well profit. She then flees. In Dastan, Wren backed the Assassins. She worked alongside them and the Lion Knights to upset power, though she made clear to Atramor, Hans, and Felton that she has other motives. She stole the Spiritus Intendere, a device designed to submit spirits to her will. She then assisted in the murder of U’Stus, and later came to the heroes and asked them kill the Chimera. She kidnapped Sphinx, and attempted, in the Battle of Dastan, to make off with Ella, though she was prevented. She then fled. In the Valley of Peace, the heroes watched a young Wren in a series of flashbacks. The Valley of Peace was Wren’s final quest with Heroica. She was seen systematically betraying her party members at the behest of Roderick Hinckwell, a Knight. It was eventually revealed that she and Roderick, and the Gray Wizard, discovered a Temple of Zoot. She and Roderick received visions from the God. Wren discovered the beauty of Chaos, though she leads Roderick to believe that she too wished to end it and replace it with Order. After the entire party is sealed away, Wren killed Roderick, but found herself no match for the Last General. She pleaded for her life, which he gave her. After the heroes killed the General in the present, Wren returned and took the Amulet of Gods. She then promised to see them soon and left once more. Alive and Wanted XX - Human - No Allegiance Appeared in: Dastan Trilogy XX is a gun for hire. He was hired by Wren and U'Vires while the heroes were in Dastan, and so joined the attempt to murder a number of political figures. XX has a strange sort of honor, and refuses to betray his side no matter how much money he is offered. He also follows what he is hired to do to a tee, and will do no less or more. While in Dastan he almost killed Nikolai in a fiery explosion in Dragonclaw, and later spared Nyx's life by lying to Blackenord in U'Stus' house. He fought in the battle of Drakencourt, but fled after he saw his employers were dead and he was unlikely to get money for sticking around. A chi monk called Lee Long acts as her personal bodyguard. She also has a son, Jun, who wants to return to Xu, but she won't allow it. Alive, Ji Pei Palace Sidekick the Rabbit - Rabbit - The Wolfgang Appeared in: Quest #33 This strange creature was a top-secret experiment by the Guild of Invision. After gaining a self-consciousness, the experiment managed to escape the guildhouse with a heavy load of bombs. Dead Ubert Lilbelly - Human - Town Watch/The Wolfgang Appeared in: Quest 6, 33 The former captain of the Town Watch is greedy and gluttonous, which are both common traits for a watchman in Eubric. His continuous failure to fulfill the demands of the six houses in power caused him to be demoted into a lieutenant. He blamed Heroica for his demotion, and his bitterness grew to such an extent that he sided with the Wolfgang. His traitorous actions were soon cut short by Heroica. Dead Violetta the Cat Burglar - Human/Werewolf - The Wolfgang Appeared in: Quest 33 This beautiful burglar is one of the leaders of the Wolfgang, and like the rest of them, a werewolf. She is considered the favourite of Ulric Wolfkin, the head of the criminal organization. She is very proud of her talents as a burglar, to the point of being overly confident. Using every trick in her sleeve, including posing as a mole called Kayla in front of the Town Watch, she successfully managed to break into five of Eubric's houses in power and steal their most valued possession, but at the Ji Pei Palace she was defeated by a group of heroes from Heroica. Instead of turning her to the Town Watch, the heroes traded her for one of the family heirlooms. She went unpunished by her crimes, but her pride was so dented that it would be a long time before she would dare to show her face outside the Wolfgang base again. Alive, Invision Guildhouse Kukulkan - Orc - The Orcish Rebels This orcish witch doctor came to Eubric as a slave in chains, but fought his way to freedom. Alive, In Eubric Madame Ladybug/U'lalah - U'kin - The Guild of Invision She is the head herbalist in the alchemist's guild, extracting poisons and medicine from plants and flowers. Alive, Invision Guildhouse Count Noctus Shadeaux - Human - The Shadeaux The head of the other influential merchant family (the other being the Hinckwells) suffers from a rare condition that he calls Le Malheur. It causes him to be vulnerable to many natural substances such as sunlight and garlic. The condition is passed down in his bloodline, and his daughter Bellanotte also has the disorder. His other two children, Umbra and Nuitan, are unaffected. The paleness and aversion to sunlight resulted by Le Malheur caused the peasants in Noctus's old county in Charis Kingdom to think of him as a vampire, so they banished him and his family. The Shadeaux then came to Eubric to start a new life. Noctus took over his brother Matinus's merchant company, and raised it to new heights. Nowadays he and Heinrich Hinckwell compete over the place of the wealthiest family in the Freeport, which causes much tension between the two families. Noctus was trained as a dragoon by a Dastanian knight when he was young, and he still keeps bats - distant relatives of true dragons - as his pets. Zepher Posted December 6, 2012 Author Posted December 6, 2012 (edited) Quest 38 Bal - Bugbear - Heroica Bal is a bugbear that was a part of the party that quested with Wren into the Valley of Peace. He is a brave member of the group, and seems willing to give his life for his allies and friends. He wishes to one day have a song written about him. Alive, Location Unknown Last General of Ennon - Human/Possessed Human/God - No Allegiance The Gray Wizard - Human(?) - Heroica The Gray Wizard was one of the many people to venture into the Valley of Peace with Wren. He was the party leader. He seems to have been a mentor to many members of the party, such as Wren, Sasha and Triad. He was on the quest with Wren and Roderick when they entered the Temple of Zoot in the sewers, though he himself didn't go in. The Gray Wizard seems to be extremely opposed to Wren and Roderick's attempts, and will stop at nothing to stop them, though he still clearly bears them both love. Alive, Location Unkown Johnny Everyman - Human - No Allegiance A fast speaking scum of Eubric. Johnny is Felton, Hans, Poletad, and McColt's contact in Eubric. He is equally well versed in gossip as Scheherazade, though he uses it to make a quick buck. Johnny's morals are a little questionable, seeming equal parts ally to Heroica, bounty hunter, gossip, contact set-up, and petty thief. He doesn't seem confined to any job. Johnny Everyman is known to frequent the Hall on occasion, though it's generally to hide after committing a crime. Alive, In Eubric McColt - Human - Haddon Guard McColt is the Head Guard of the city of Haddon, and the third member of his family to serve (his grandfather and father served before him). He is a practical, straight-forward, honest man who doesn't understand magic or trickery. His view of the world is simple - there is the right thing to do, and there is the wrong thing to do. McColt fought against the heroes and with the true Felton until Wren's clone was revealed, and he then recruited the heroes to help crush the rebellion. He led the heroes out of the city and thanked them on behalf of the Guard. After the events of Haddon, McColt decided to see the world. He eventually ran into a man who told him the tale of the Lost Party and the Valley of Peace. McColt hired a group of heroes to investigate with him. McColt did not bring a weapon into the Valley because he believed it to be holy ground, albeit tainted holy ground. Alive, Whereabouts Unknown Sir Roderick Hinckwell - Human - Heroica/None Roderick Hinckwell was a young member of the Hinckwell family. On a previous Quest he and Wren both received visions from Zoot. He hopes to one day summon Zoot to Olegia to strike him down, and will sacrifice any member of the party to achieve this goal. He is eventually possessed by the Shard of Ennoc (looking for a new host) and struck down by the heroes of Heroica. He is highly disillusioned. Sasha and he previously seemed to have a relationship of some sorts, but his obsession with destroying Zoot drove a wedge between them. Dead Triad - Acerpusculum - Heroica Triad is a Acerpusculum, an orphan named after the park she was found in. She believes in balance and chaos, and appears to be very good friends with Lady Wren, though she knows that they most stop her at any cost. In the Valley of Peace Triad was the victim of the first Chaos Beast that Wren ever created, on Roderick's behest. She retreated into herself and the "collective Acerpusculum memory" keeping herself alive through great physical abuse for many years. like all Acerpusculum, Traid speaks in the collective "we" and believes that everyone earns their own fate through their actions. She respects people who understand themselves, and is an incredibly apt warrior. Alive, Location Unknown Sasha - Human - Heroica Lady Wren - Human - Wren/Zoot Wren is a worshiper of Chaos and plans to take power from the God Zoot. There he trained the novices in hand to hand combat and strategy, a duty he didn't enjoy very much. Sir Helmer often uses a downgrading language when talking to orcs and other greenskins and is clearly affected by the strong anti-greenskin atmosphere of the Order. However, after the hero Cronk had beaten him in a training fight, Sir Helmer seemed to treat him with more respect then before. He was born blind and with a bad temperament, but whereas the house inventor Vincent Legonardo restored his sight with the neurored lenses (at least partially, since he still couldn't see colours), training among the Tao Warriors at the Hoshin region taught him discipline and self-control. But when he heard that bandits calling themselves the "108 Stars of Destiny" had invaded the Pagoda of Nine Elements, the base of the Tao Warriors, and slaughtered everyone inside, Jun's temperament flared up again and he took off on his own to avenge his brotherhood. His mother sent heroes of Heroica after him to help him out, but the task was too difficult even to them. The heroes survived, but Jun went missing, presumed dead. Missing, in Xu Lee Long - Human - The Ji Pei This warrior monk from Xu came to owe his life to the family of Ji Pei when they saved him from execution sentenced to him because of insolent behaviour against an aoi. Instead, he was sent into exile, never permitted to return to Xu again. The Ji Pei helped him again by taking him with them to Eubric to act as a personal bodyguard to Shanxian Ji Pei, the matriarch of the family. He never leaves her side, and it is rumoured that the two even share a bed together. He acts as a father figure to Shanxian's son Jun, who lost his own father at a young age. Alive, Ji Pei Palace Sham Poo - Half-Orc - No Allegiance Sham is a wandering merchant with wares that are most certainly not stolen property. Always on the look-out for more profit, Sham travels all around the globe, and you never know where you might encounter him next. A chi monk called Lee Long acts as her personal bodyguard. She has one son, Jun, who returned to Xu to avenge the deaths of his brotherhood, the Tao Warriors. Shanxian sent heroes of Heroica after him, but they failed to bring him back. Thinking Jun is dead, it is Shanxian's turn to swear vengeance. Alive, Ji Pei Palace Vincent Legonardo - Human - The Ji Pei/Tritech Company Monsignore Legonardo is the biggest all-around genius the whole Olegaia has ever seen. He studied under the aoi of Xu for decades, and then returned to his old hometown of Eubric with the House of Ji Pei some years ago. Together he and the family quickly rose to fame by selling their mechanical and architectural inventions to the people of Eubric. Some rumours say that Legonardo might not even be from this time and age, that's how advanced his creations are. It was he who taught the people of Xu to build airships. His own vessel, Destiny's Bounty (Mark XVI), is naturally the fastest and most advanced of all airships, and with it he can travel around the world in a matter of weeks.
