April 19, 201212 yr Great job, Cunctator! This really IS another blow away city layout, wow, i'm impressed!! I love the way you built up the lively cityscape by using official LEGO sets and your own creations, which are by the way gorgeous! :) Keep up the good work!
April 20, 201212 yr Awesome, simply awesome! What a big city! The level of detail you've put into it is simply amazing. There are so many different little sceneries to detect. Great job!
April 21, 201212 yr An incredible layout. You really put a lot of effort in it, I see. All the modularised sets as well as your own MOCs, and it all fits really well together. Amazing.
April 21, 201212 yr Thanks for the update. Town hall fits in very nicely. Also, there are some lovely buildings around that I'd love to have a closer look. Both 16-wides next to the tan building look interesting, and so does the dark red building. You're lucky to have so much space for a great layout.
April 21, 201212 yr Great update indeed. I like how you have moved the Town Hall two studs back. I also thought there was too little sidewalk space.
April 21, 201212 yr Wow! Great city Cunctator! I really like your MOCs and your Diagon Alley buildings modifications! My favourite is Gringotts. LEGOfan123
April 22, 201212 yr Author First of all I thank everybody for all the nice comments I'd like to show you few updates: Here my town plan cinema converted in a corner building: Let me know what you think about it. Here the city bank that has opened a branch in my city: A scene of a wedding: and lastly a photo with the bride's father visibly emotioned Hope you have enjoyed them! Edited November 26, 201212 yr by Phred Added photos to March 2012 Update.
April 22, 201212 yr I love the cinema. The plaza in front of the Town Plan Town Hall is great too. Or did you mod it into a church. Edited April 22, 201212 yr by The Blue Brick
April 24, 201212 yr Mind-boggling fantastic, overwhelming... Aahhh, need I say more? Wonderful build here, I love the combination of ‘official’ sets with your own creation. And then also the adjusted 'official' sets! Love it. Oh, I wonder, if only I had two of those Green Grocers, the world would look so much... greener...
December 9, 201212 yr Author Last update for 2012 with my last modulars! I eliminated the green area in front of the buildings to give more room to modulars. Top overview: Here my last modular: a pharmacy and a boutique at ground floor. Little park behind the buildings More pictures are available in my brickshelf gallery Hope you like it! Bye Cunctator
December 9, 201212 yr Wonderful ....still wonderful looking modular city there 'Cunctator'.....AWESOME mix of Lego and MOC designs with plenty of action happening - Brick On 'Cunctator' !
December 10, 201212 yr Very, very impressive and thanks for sharing! Personally, the green space works for me; you need someplace to expand in the future, right? One thing I would do is make some sort of 'background'. Something spray painted a simple light blue (something along the lines of a City box background would be better!) would look 10x better than a brick wall and would make your lovely work stand out so much more.
December 10, 201212 yr this town is truly awe-inspiring. i plan to have a city layout like yours in the next couple of years, and i will look to yours as inspiration. thank you.
January 13, 201312 yr Impressive town! :) Did you used that system for the roads to save space and bricks? Hope you don't mind if I keep some ideas from your modulars. Uh, your cinema is much better than the new modular set :) Edited January 13, 201312 yr by SalvoBrick
January 13, 201312 yr Your city is really impressive! Beautiful MOC's and the modulars together and a big layout too, I like it. How large is your display table? That cinema looks like the artdeco cinema some of us expected to get. The town's size is what makes it stand out, because it gives the feel of a real city. Edited January 13, 201312 yr by Phazon
January 13, 201312 yr Author Thanks to everybody for the comments. @Salvobrick: brick built roads are wonderfull but for the moment I prefer to buy bricks for buildings. Feel free to keep ideas even because I did the same with your town houses I'm glad you like my cinema: I will buy anyway the 10232 that for me is a very good building @Phazon: Thanks! The layout has not a regular shape, If I remember well it's ~3.8m long with 2.8m of train layout. Keep watching for further updates!
