Tamamono Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Of course you are. Last game, we played Scum together, and you told us that you read that it was good to act insulted when we were being lynched. And since you already told us that you didn't change your style... That's why I've calmed down now. That was me genuinely upset. I realize that channeling Sheila to help me with my defense is no good, since it will only make people want my head even more. I am town, and the way to prove to you all that I am town is to keep calm. If you want to lynch me, then fine. I have no idea what you want me to say in my defense.
Peanuts Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 This is the second time you've used a form of Chainsaw Defense.[...] Today, you accuse Chieko for not being vocal enough after a bandwagon starts against you. You could have presented either of those suspicions earlier in their respective Days. Minor correction, but that's not a chainsaw defense, that's OMGUS. Boils down to the same thing, but a chainsaw defense was if someone else voted for someone in order to protect Ichirou.
Brickdoctor Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Minor correction, but that's not a chainsaw defense, that's OMGUS. Boils down to the same thing, but a chainsaw defense was if someone else voted for someone in order to protect Ichirou. Ah, you are correct. My mistake. Chainsaw Defense sounds cooler, though.
WhiteFang Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I, too will also follow the majority. But on the basis, that I felt that Yasu might have been instructed by him to say something that he wants to say. Invertible, Yasu dragged him down. Of course, she kept quite silent eventually when the bandwagon was formed. Vote: Ichirou (Tamamono)
Peanuts Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Ah, you are correct. My mistake. Chainsaw Defense sounds cooler, though. I don't know. We are the Yakuza, we don't use chainsaws, do we? What about "Nodachi Defense"? We don't use Nodachis either, but it sounds rather cool as well and has a more Japanese sound.
Rufus Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I'm being overly paranoid this game. Oh, no you're not: quite the opposite, and that's what make you so suspicious to me. Where was the paranoia when Yasu 'role-claimed' to you? You believed her without question. A townie would have been far more circumspect. Instead, by Yasu's own confession, you offered her advice, but said nothing about this to us until Yasu told us herself. 'Believing all role-claims' is hardly paranoid, is it? You agree with just about everything Norio says, because, by your own admission, you think he is pro-town (an odd choice of word) for 'meta-reasons', just about the worst reasons for suspecting or believing anyone. Then you contact lots of people, push them for information, and treat any information you receive as 'fact' - hence your submission about the blockers. Assuming for a moment you really had been in contact with someone claiming to be the town blocker, why believe them? They could just as easily be the scum blocker; unless you know who the scum blocker is. The only way you can be sure that people are who they say they are is if you know they're telling the truth, because you are scum.
Bob Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Okay, apparently, I was wrong. I was used to Chieko going on rants and acting like a Scottish pseudo-chef from the Egyptian play. I also wasn't taking count of how many times people spoke up. I'm being overly paranoid this game. Sorry. Unvote: Chieko (Scubacarrot) Of course you are. Last game, we played Scum together, and you told us that you read that it was good to act insulted when we were being lynched. And since you already told us that you didn't change your style... Please stop referencing other plays and books and movies or whatever. This is the Yakuza Family game, not IMHOTEP or Asylum or whatever.
Professor Flitwick Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I'm being overly paranoid this game. Sorry. *sniff* How can you profess to be paranoid, but believe people without confirmation after only one day? There are too many wholes in your story, so it'll come as no surprise when I Vote: Ichirou (Tamamono).

Yes, that's a very good point you bring up, Momoe. Ichirou, you're contradicting yourself, how do you expect anyone to believe you?
Tamamono Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Oh, no you're not: quite the opposite, and that's what make you so suspicious to me. Where was the paranoia when Yasu 'role-claimed' to you? Instead, by Yasu's own confession, you offered her advice, but said nothing about this to us until Yasu told us herself. 'Believing all role-claims' is hardly paranoid, is it? How many times do I need to say it? I am a sucker for role claims. You know me, Momoe-chan. Obviously, I do not know how to exert judgement when it comes to roleclaims. I'm actually starting to think that one of the people who claimed to me is scum (or, at the very least, lying).' I've been trying to take a town center position this time, and frankly, that was a stupid thing of me to do. I admit and understand that. Have you not read what I said before, or are you just enjoying this too much to keep your excitement in your Writeboard? Then you contact lots of people, push them for information, and treat any information you receive as 'fact' - hence your submission about the blockers. Assuming for a moment you really had been in contact with someone claiming to be the town blocker, why believe them? They could just as easily be the scum blocker; unless you know who the scum blocker is. I believe them because I want to believe them. Underneath, I really want to be able to direct the night actions and to be useful for a change. Obviously, that's not going to happen this time. I have accepted that. I may be dead, but my team, the Yakuza, still has a chance, and that's what matters. I will do everything in my power to make sure what information I have gets into the right hands, and that I'm able to make a positive difference before I am fed the the dragon. People, you are wrong in your accusations of me! I have been monumentally stupid this game - that's true, but my intentions have been pure. I do not want you all to waste a Day killing me when we're already off to such a great start with Yasu-chan. I am not scum, and I guarantee you that the real scum are sitting in their little corner laughing their megablocks off as they watch me flail around and get vote after vote. I don't know what I can say to keep you people from lynching me - talking to you is like talking to a brick wall. Just giving up is the most pathetic thing I could possibly do right now, so I'm putting the rest of the time I have left to good use. I've been going over the last couple of Days and my PMs, and I am almost certain that Momoe-chan is scum. This is not just because she pressured me - she had caught my attention yesterday before she even mentioned me. Now, obviously, it wasn't very concrete, so I didn't say anything.
Rick Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I've been trying to take a town center position this time, and frankly, that was a stupid thing of me to do. I admit and understand that. Have you not read what I said before, or are you just enjoying this too much to keep your excitement in your Writeboard? I'm glad you see that and I'm glad you understand our suspicion of you. You still haven't addressed my earlier concerns and I guess you're not going to. Yet, you still feel the need to throw in some more accusations. I may be dead, but my team, the Yakuza, still has a chance, and that's what matters. I will do everything in my power to make sure what information I have gets into the right hands, and that I'm able to make a positive difference before I am fed the the dragon. Thanks, your efforts for this town will not be forgotten in case you turn up as orange snot. I don't know what I can say to keep you people from lynching me - talking to you is like talking to a brick wall. I guess not much. But I'm sure you understand we simply can't risk letting the potential Godfather off the hook. Surely when we investigate you, you come up town, and when we track you, you will not do nothing at night.
Tamamono Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Here are a couple of things I find especially interesting about Momoe: Thinking things over, I'm inclined to believe that Yasu is a role cop, but the question remains whether she is scum or town. Role cop could be a useful role for either; perhaps more so for scum who have to find out whom to target at night. First there comes the case about the scum role cop. Now, automatically believing a stretch like that would make her seem kind of crazy at first, but when Yasu-chan came up as scum, it would give Momoe-chan a lot of credibility, and it did. Momoe-chan saw the way Yasu-chan was completely failing to defend herself, and she decided that it would be best to bus her. However, I have learned from experience that very often the ones who present the correct theory out of the blue are scum themselves setting the groundwork for a lot of credibility later. This is obviously what Momoe-chan is doing here. Scum roles cops are very rare. Why would Momoe-chan immediately arrive at the conclusion that there would be one? This seems more like a panicked scum-plosion to me than a reasoned town response. It sounds like the two of you have been plotting. As you (Itchiroo) would have no reason to trust Yasu's claim, reacting like this doesn't sit well with me. And then here is Momoe's first accusation of me. Here she is accusing me on the basis that Yasu-chan is also scum (which she was), and making connections between us. However, no good can ever come from connecting two players before one of them is dead, and most townies, especially experienced ones, know this. Momoe obviously knew that Yasu-chan was scum before she died, and that's why she thought she could throw suspicion on me. How could she have known? If she was scum as well, that's how. In addition, I contacted Momoe-chan earlier today to clarify something with her, and she told me that she had a strong hunch that I was scum. I of course told her that I'm not scum, and that I'm in fact trying to play like Norio does when he's town. She then started acting like just because I was acting like Norio, it meant that I read like him too. She said 'Norio is very easy to read when scum...', which was a way of subtly implying that I'm scum. However, her logic is completely faulty. I may be trying to play like Norio, but that doesn't mean I'm exactly like him, does it? Her accusations of me are based on completely flawed fallacies, and that is something only a scum would do. Vote: Momoe (Rufus)
Eskallon Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Hmm, Ichirou, your not gonna give up are you. I'll admit you are a fighter. But tomorrow we'll see who you really are. If your town tomorrow then maybe we will look into Rufus, and even more likely you will be scum, and we will probably still look into Rufus, so rest assured you will sink like a rock and throw some dust up as you do so. Oh and don't ask me to turn my back on myself and defend you in private. As I have made it clear, I started the lynch and I don't trust you.

There was always a possibility that there was a Scum Role Cop. Yasu claimed Role Cop. Yasu was acting Scummy. It was a basic job of fitting those pieces together to arrive at the conclusion that Yasu was a Scum Role Cop.
Eskallon Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I dont see where you got the idea that I would do so.
JimBee Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I hate to do this, but all i can do is go with the crowd here. There were many excellent points brought up, and they can only be said in so many words. Instead of repeating them, I will simply Vote: Ichirou (Tammo) If I may offer another reason why I'm voting for you, Ichirou, your voting pattern does not help you: Okay, apparently, I was wrong. I was used to Chieko going on rants and acting like a Scottish pseudo-chef from the Egyptian play. I also wasn't taking count of how many times people spoke up. I'm being overly paranoid this game. Sorry. Unvote: Chieko (Scubacarrot) Vote: Momoe (Rufus) To me, this is class A scum behavior. You're trying desperately to save your own skin, with flimsy accusations thrown at other potential Yakuza. Neither accusation holds much weight, and you highlighted this nicely by quickly unvoting Chieko. If you had truly believed her to be scum, you would stick with your vote. But instead it's "No? Won't vote for Chieko? Okay how about Momoe?". A true Yakuza would take the fall for the sake of his family, and not try to take down others.
CMP Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 A really flail-y reaction, to say the least. Whatever the hell Tamiko is going on can be dealt with later (unless that's what she wants us to do.... God knows at this point) But I'll give you this, Ichirou. It was an interesting Day One ploy. Vote: Ichirou (Tamamono) Feel bad for being this late, though.

Tamamono Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 A true Yakuza would take the fall for the sake of his family, and not try to take down others. I am take the fall for the sake of the family, and I have accepted my fate. However, that doesn't change the fact that I am a loyal Yakuza whose job is to help root out the scum! I am doing my best to find the scum, not trying to 'take down others'.
Peanuts Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Vote: Momoe (Rufus) So after seeing that voting for Chieko won't save your skin, you decide voting for Momoe instead? I admire how tenacious you are, but your accusation holds no weight at all.

I admire how tenacious you are, but your accusation holds no weight at all. I fully understand that. I'm laying out my case so that it will hold weight tomorrow.
The Legonater Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Until now, I have not had a whole lot to say, and have largely kept my volume low. But now, I guess it is time to vote. I am sorry, Father, but it has seemed increasingly clear that you are scum. Your proposterous stories, your lame excuses, your defending of the clearly quilty... no. This so-called rally of yours is now clearly a fraud to distract the loyal Yakuzas here, and I cannot in good conscience keep you alive to further distract us. Thus, I Ctrl-Alt-Delete Vote: Ichiruou (Tamamono)
Masked Builder Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I have been following the arguments against my brother and it seems that he does look rather scummy. Thus I will Vote: Ichiruou (Tamamono).
Nightshroud99 Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Had a rough night and alot has transpired, I need to review the tapes but I already knew who I was going to vote for last night. It seems that is also who everyone else wants gone. So. Vote: Ichirou (Tamamono)
