Posted February 26, 201213 yr Hi everyone! This is my first topic here! I want to show you my lastes creation, called Fortaleza de Lyon (in english: Lyon Fortress). I made this as my entry to the brazillian community monthly challenge. It's a high fortified mansion, situated near a mountain. It's by far the biggest creation I've ever made and it took a lot of time! I won't keep writing, because my english is very limited, so here are the pics! Hope you like it! Here's the house in detail: Lights off and then on! Well, that's it! You can see all these pictures and some more in my Flickr (PedroPolo it's me!) Please, C & C are very welcome! And can someone give me any tips on photography? It was very hard to take good pics, because is a very large MOC (its 64 x 64 studs)!
February 27, 201213 yr Looks nice. I like the slight angle of the outer wall at the gate, it's a nice touch. The interior of the building looks good also.
February 27, 201213 yr Great work Apple Pi :) Love the wall, the landscape, the mansion and it's interior... Really, awesome MOC! The only *little* thing that bugs me is the colour you used for the top floor of the mansion (dark yellow?).
February 27, 201213 yr Wow, way to come out swinging. This is great. The wall is cool and I like the entry. The angled drawbridge is a nice touch. The landscape is well done too. I like how you situated a balcony. The lord looking over all his land while being well fortified.
February 27, 201212 yr Oh man that's suck an awesome build! I love how it all comes apart for easy access. To me that's a HUGE feature that also requires even more thought put into the build process. It's easy to focus in on details but the details of the stone walls and vegetation really make it interesting at a distance.
February 27, 201212 yr Great build! The landscaping is great, the building is wonderful, I like how you've done the fireplace and with a light up brick, bravo. My favourite part is the angled drawbridge. The Lord must be very wealthy to have such a place. Bem feito!
February 29, 201212 yr Great work! Lots of detail and lovely little touches. The riverbank scene is very nice (although what is that teddy bear doing? Is it... a dropbear?? ), the 1x1 rounds look great at the base of the castle wall (a use i haven't seen before)and the angled gate and drawbridge is seamlessly done. Love the modularity of the fortified mansion too!
February 29, 201212 yr This is an amazing build! I love modular buildings with interiors. This is a real inspiration for my MOC! btw: your English is perfectly fine!
March 1, 201212 yr Author Thanks again for the nice compliments people! @gabe Yeah, I was inspired by Derfel's round bricks style to make that wall!
March 1, 201212 yr Absolutely gorgeous! I cannot wait until I can afford to build something like that. I am really impressed with the river and house especially. The detail is just stunning and really brings the MOC to life. Great job, and I hope to see more or your castles in the future! Edited March 1, 201212 yr by Jack Bricker
March 2, 201212 yr Wow this work let me speechless! The river side looks so natural ...and so real! The internal details are awesome: the pit, the drawbridge and those beautiful home furnishings. I like the perfect choice of colors!
March 2, 201212 yr This is a brilliant build, I have a load of tan bricks I never use (left over from you adventurer days with jonney thunder) I will definatly be adding them to my walls now. Great job
March 6, 201212 yr Beautiful work. I particularly like the angle of the gate wall, the stepped walkway at the top of the battlement and the landscaping around the moat/river. Very nice job!
March 17, 201212 yr That is... just wow. All kinds of amazing. Gotta love that chimpanzeee chilling in the walls, especially.
March 17, 201212 yr Lovely creation, I love the details you put into the interior. The foliage outside the castle walls has a nice touch to it. Excellent stuff and I hope to see more of your works!
March 18, 201212 yr Altough I have commented on this over at CC, I will comment on your moc here too. Very good, I still love that yellow part of the manorbuilding. Awesome work, can't wait to see more of your creations Pedro.
