WhiteFang Posted April 19, 2012 Author Posted April 19, 2012 Hi everybody! I completely re-did my Category A entry, so please go back to the first page of entries and have another look! Thanks, and it's appreciated so much! Sorry for the bad photography, that's what happens when I'm in a rush Re-post your entry with a larger image. Read the rules. Your images are way too small otherwise it will be disqualified. It is also highly encouraged to take your images again in a less rush manner. It will be very much appreciated, otherwise it will not do any good to you. Quote

Oky Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 I managed to enter both categories on time for once! Let me know what you think. My idea for category B is similar to Kumpelkante's, but I didn't steal it. I had already started working on it when he posted his, so no hard feelings I hope. Quote
Rufus Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 The minotaur stalks the overgrown man-made ruins of the labyrinth. Mr.Brickman, please use a dedicated picture hosting service (eg. Brickshelf, Flickr) rather than attaching your images to the post. 14. Upload your images onto those dedicated image hosting websites such as Brickshelf, Flickr, etc. Do not use Eurobricks attachment to upload your images. As things stand, your entry will be disqualified, unless you use an image host as requested in the rules. Thanks! Quote

WhiteFang Posted April 23, 2012 Author Posted April 23, 2012 From this time stamp of this post, the contest will be closed in less than 30 minutes time! I can see there are a few last minute entries. I don't know why but I noticed people like to submit their entries late when the contest duration is almost 2 months. Quote
WhiteFang Posted April 23, 2012 Author Posted April 23, 2012 Contest hosting note, My past and current hosting of CMF contests deadline has always been set on 1200hours (GMT+8) based on where I am residing and that's Singapore, so I can properly managed my time carefully to make sure I am not late for the voting preparations, so our community can go ahead and vote and ultimately making sure that the prizes can deliver. I like my schedule to be followed and this was not a last minute planning. I don't appreciate when I am taking so much efforts and time to ensure that the contest experience is done correctly. I don't have lots of free time as well and I did all of these until 3am and I need to go to work as per normal in the morning. I can ONLY do the launching during my lunch break which is why I knows best where I can do it. Furthermore, I activated the multiple time stamps of the discussion thread based on the last 12 hours. Efforts on my end are taken and ensure that all of you had a pleasant experience and if the participants do not adhere to my rules accordingly, it is making me very upset to see my plans go down to the drain. It pains me to pin this note in public but I felt I ought to do so and it is not fair to me at all. Lastly, I hope this does not ruin the overall experience but I really wish participants take this contest as serious as I do. WhiteFang Quote
Plissken Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 I did my voting for both categories. Great entries everyone and good luck. Quote
purpleparadox Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 (edited) I have a question. How come my thumbnail pic used for the voting is just of the top floor? Other entries got the whole vig displayed, how come my picture showing the whole vignette wasn't used? Edited April 23, 2012 by purpleparadox Quote
WhiteFang Posted April 23, 2012 Author Posted April 23, 2012 I have a question. How come my thumbnail pic used for the voting is just of the top floor? Other entries got the whole vig displayed, how come my picture showing the whole vignette wasn't used? It's very simple. If you look carefully, all of the thumbnails for all of the categories are originated from the first image of the entry post. So, if you are requesting any changes to it, please ask nicely. Thank you. Quote

The one that shows both floors. Thanks so much! Quote

LegoMyMamma Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 To catch up with commenting, the last one I did was the mechanic garage with car, so... here goes! Inside the Lamp - Awesome! I love the unusual use of pieces and your story, but I do hope there's more to the lamp than just the bathroom. lol! I think my favorite part is the shower with arch at the top. Nice! (snip) So now that I've commented on everyone's creation so far, did anyone have any feedback for me? I made the minotaur tower and would really like to know what anyone thinks of it. Hey, I am just now reading this thread, so thanks and I hope my Genie gets more than a bathroom too! LOL I think mine is subliminally meant for a Gene Lamp like in the "I Dream of Genie" TV show -- especially after seeing Peter's entry: 36) Genie Entry (Build by graznador) = Wow! I will have to attempt a more true interior for a Genie some day in a MOC larger than 8x8 ... wonder what the kitchen would look like ... what does a Genie eat anyway? When I first saw your Minotaur tower, I imagined it as a relaxing, yet surprisingly intellectual place to hang out while he waits for the next session of the LEGO Minotaur game to begin Quote
