Pandora Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 "Yes yes, You, my lady, are too curious for your own good! FEAR THE MIGHT OF DEATH!" "Pfffft " Nyx rolls her eyes at the shouty skeleton and starts preparing a fireball "One day, one day, I'll get my hands on a diamond, but until then it's Fire Magic on Cthuskeltornoctusdamus (now Cthu for short I think) from the back row. Cronk, are your healing powers just as effective from the back row as the front? I just wonder as then you'd take less damage if you're unlucky, and Atramor, I suggest you save your strength in case another prisoner joins the fray. That is unless you suspect Cthuskeltornoctusdamus is allergic to chickens. " Party Order: Cronk Nyx Rufindel Atramor
CMP Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 "Oh, for the love of...." Atramor uncorks an Orc Potion and uses it on The Mutilated Mashup of Evil-Sounding Names. Orc Potions heal 10 but then take 2, so...it either does 8 damage or 12 damage, I think.
CorneliusMurdock Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Cronk not know if Cronk's healing as effective from back row. Cronk new at healing. If damage to Mr Skeleton the same, then Cronk will heal from back row instead. OOC: I knew that healing your own party was the same no matter row, but I had just assumed it was different when fighting enemies.
Scubacarrot Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 QM Note: As far as I know, healing is just as effective from the back row. Results of Round one of the Necromancer Battle. Unfortunately, the skeleton shrugs of the attack, but it leaves him open to Nyx's followup, a fireball, dealing 8 damage. Rufindel calls on his Gods to heal the skeleton, hurting him for 11 damage, at the cost of 1 ether. Atramor uncorks a volatile Orc Potion, and throws it at the necromancer, dealing 8 damage. CorneliusMurdock Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Hello, Cronk's angel. Cronk glad to see Cronk's angel. Cronk will heal necromancer from back row.
CMP Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Atramor yanks out the cork to the other Orc Potion and again splatters is on Cthuskelly. He then proceeds to lean against the wall and simply spectate on the heroes' epic duel against the forces of an undead necromancer with boredom.
Pandora Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Nyx is uncharacteristically quiet for a few moments, firstly due to the unexpected pain in her hand, which dissipates remarkably quickly as her temper flares once more, and then as she sees Cronk's angel for the first time. "Cronk.... your angel.... so... beautiful! " Nyx shakes her head, as if clearing it. She then begins to summon another fireball to cast on Cthuskel from the back row. CMP Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Atramor watches as the Metasimian joins the battle. With his fellows occupied with the necromancer and little other options, he simply clenches his fists, and attacks the oversized ape from the front row. How much damage could one monkey do?
Pandora Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 "Atramor, it would appear we have found something productive for you to do; namely punch the Metasimian in the face until he falls down or breaks free from the Necromancer's spell. CorneliusMurdock Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Cronk will also heal necromancer from back row once more.
Scubacarrot Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 Results of Round three of the Necromancer Battle. Cronk vs. Necromancer - Special Guard Nyx vs. Necromancer - Greater Spell Rufindel vs. Necromancer - Heal Less Atramor vs. Metasimian - Damage Cronk watches as the Necromancer attempts to mind control another prisoner, but manages to bash the skeleton just in time. Rufindel once again heals the Necromancer, burning the Skeleton for 11 damage, at the cost of 1 ether. Atramor, inspired by the success of his fellows, attempts to punch the Metasimian in the face, but the nimble man manages to kick Atramor in the sheens before he can, dealing 8 damage. CMP Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I think Special Guard only affects actual negative effects, such as Poisoned or Stunned. Your call, though, this is a tough fight already. Atramor grumbles as his shins crack ominously, and McCafferey only sniffs in amusement from nearby. He doesn't stop, however, in his assault on the Metasimian from the front row.
Scubacarrot Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 Ah ok, Ill have that in mind next time, I will keep it as is now, though. Thanks.

Scubacarrot Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 OOC: Doesn't Atramor regain 3 health from being blessed? I rolled after I posted the round, and yes, he does, I will add it on the next round, remember there is a 50% chance you regain health :).

Rufus Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Once again, I'll try to heal the necro from the back row.
Scubacarrot Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 Same battle order, I assume. Results of Round four of the Necromancer Battle. Cronk vs. Necromancer - Heal Less Nyx vs. Necromancer - Magic Counter Rufindel vs. Necromancer - Shield Miracle Atramor vs. Metasimian - Hit Atramor must have been favoured by Ennoc, as his blessing cause him to restore 3 health. Cronk manages to heal the Skeleton, burning it for 16 damage, costing 1 ether. Nyx gets hit by a wild swing, taking 6 damage. But she immediately counters with a fireball, causing 8 damage, at the cost of 1 ether. Rufindel receives a miracle from his deity, healing the whole party for 11, making sure everyone is at full health. Atramor manages to punch the ape-man in the jaw, for 15 damage. The Party is once again at full health, and both enemies are about halfway damaged. Results of Round five of the Necromancer Battle. Cronk vs. Necromancer - Special Guard - Not negative effect Nyx vs. Necromancer - Magic Counter - Blessing does not heal Rufindel vs. Necromancer - Special Damage Atramor vs. Metasimian - Critical Hit Cronk can only watch as the Necromancer mind-controls the Lizardman. Nyx once again gets hit by a swing from the skeleton's staff, and takes 6 damage. Again, she flings a fireball at the undead, dealing 8 damage, at the cost of 1 ether. Rufindel's attack fails, and the Necromancer sends a dark spell towards the Minotauren. Atramor manages to connect to his last punch, and hits a massive blow to the Metasimian's head, leaving his body lifeless on the floor. A Shiv(WP:4, Suitable for Rogues) drops on the floor... CMP Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Atramor kicks away in the Metasimian in the stomach, and swings an uppercut at the Minotauren's jaw from the front row. "Nyx, I'd take the Lizardman, your Amethyst will do double damage."
CorneliusMurdock Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Cronk will heal necromancer from back row again. Cronk just notice guards not take Cronk and Nyx's holy bombs. That kinda stupid like not taking a necromancer's (or wizard's) staff. Anyway, friends may want to use bombs at some point.
Rufus Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Atramor, if you pick up the shiv, you can use that as a weapon. If Nyx will take the lizardman, I'll again try to heal the necro from the back row.
