I really like the carpenter and the water-pump.

Edit:

I'll have to add that water pump and carpenter's hammer to the Index of Accessory MOCs *y*

Hehee, nice new vignettes and the name of the ship is very cool. She deserves it :capn: . Good luck finishing the best Lego pirate ship of all time :capn: ! What is that table made of in picture 4 (according to Mr. B's post)?

picture four consists of a large barraks door (part number 30223)

and on top is a pile of gold coins, with a skeleton with swords in him, along with a mini scale

i got this idea from the movie goonies with sean austin

at the end with one eyed willy and his dead crew arr sitting around the table with gold dubloons all around and there is a package under the skeletons hands in this picture

he is attached to the plate by a ladder clip and white battle droid arms on his legs

picture five consists of a pirate wanting to change his cloths so he is rummaging through the foot locker to find something new to wear :-|

this is were i got my window designs

they worked perfect for my design :)

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=105665

although i did chang the designs a little to make it my own but credit goes to them for the ideas

ill take some pictures of how i made my lanterns in the morning

its a little complicated when you look at them but after you see how its done you will go wow thats really easy

if it helps,

most of my designs arr built off of the 1x1 brick with studs on all sides

that is my most favorite piece and can usually be found in my designs somewhere

You've got a lot of great ideas in your BS folder. 8-o

Is it ok if i put a link to you folder in the accessories MOC index?

Looking forward to see how the lanterns are built.

Look at that rat infestation! Surely that's some kind of breach against sanitary standards!

And look what I have...

Legopirate,

Your ship is getting quite far! :)

masts1.jpg_thumb.jpg

Besides the mizzen and foremast, what else needs to be done on it yet?

Also, is this ship going to have modualar parts to it?

Thanx for the Lantern tutorial.

My brother, dukeschunke, will probably use something very similar for his HMS Victory.

Here's a link of the instructions for the lantern:

Lantern1

(press next to view all 7)

Also, here's a link of the actual lantern:

lamps1.jpg_thumb.jpg

(hopefully that's the correct lantern :-$ )

the only parts i need to do is the fore and mizzen mast then ill be done *sweet*

but lack of parts to do them has slowed me down a bit

so ive been working on some vignettes and such to put in

the ship breaks apart into 13 diffrent sections

not including the masts

the rear splits off into 5 parts

the main decks split off into 5 parts

and the fore spits into 3

i used a male and female conncetion

meaning my slide out parts arr the male parts

and the main skeletons of the boat is the female

so i have 3 females and the rest arr male

i made it so it could be pulled apart and brikwars played inside

or just on a few sections, such as back, front, or main only

as for the lantern tutorial

your very welcome, i just hope you can decipher it

is there any thing else anybody is instreaded in?

if so ill make up some tutorials for them to

just let me know

enjoy

I gotta (coz I always ask) are you going to add sails?

of course

ill probably end up making them out of tan lego plates

but ill have to make two sets

one for full sail and

one for all rolled up sail

im doing some testing on my mast strength so it should hold the weight of a few lego sails

I'm assuming these measurements are in suds(err studs)?

As brickster said, That's HUGE!!!

Have you done brick sails on your previous ships?

aye studs is there any thing else to measure in?

ive tinkered with the idea of lego sails for a while

but all my previous masts were to flimsy and broke if you put to much weight on them

Dos Mas will be the exception, her masts arr strong enough to have a cat lean on them and not fall over

(he thought it was a scraching post, silly cat)

more vignettes done, and pictures will probably come this weekend

How long did this take, can you say?

yes i can

the design process was about 2 months or so,

getting some good refference photos, and building small ideas that came to mind

i also drew out a bunch of pictures of how i wanted it built

i started doing the actual building/lego designing in late August of 06

that was when i started my first deck section

but in total my time spent building it is 8 months (just building/waiting for parts to come)

and the couple months prior so about 10 months in all

and should only take about another month once i get the last bit of parts i need

ill then put all my figs and my vignettes in it and,

oh i dont know, find anybody who wants to play brikwars in the san diego california area

if your courious about what brikwars is check out the website

www.brikwars.com

heres the rules and such

I would be curious to see how you go about sorting your lego out, how is your stations set up before you begin? How do you put away the lego etc... Picture would be great!

Thanks!

ill load them up and put them in there own folder on BS

and as for how i sort?

well i generally buy out walmart/target/dollarstores of their plastic baggies and cheap plasticware

i have 3 or 4, 50 gallon barrels of unsorted lego

4 20 gallon rubbermaid containers of sorted OLD brown parts in bags and boxes in them

3 10 gallon tubs with a bunch of rare parts

a few screw and nail sorting holders from the hardware store

this is where i put my small quanties or stuff i use a lot of

a bunch of boxes with bags and such

a few cases with built models for display, but these arr broken down into bags so it stores easier

total collection of minifigs in the 1000s maybe somewhere around 1900?

most arr pirate or castle

but my perfered method is using ziplock bags

easier to move around and i wont lose any if its sealed shut

ill load up some pictures with the scans

Holy Crap!

(very rarely say that word, but here i think it's appropriate)

That's a lot of bricks.

I think that might even be more than jipay's collection X-D

(heard he might have lots of SW)
