It's not often a Lego creation inspires me to the point I save it in Favorites... but this is one of those times.

Nice job. Not just the size, but the skill and sight in what it's supposed to be versus actually looking like it.

i guess you could say i do have "special connections" ;-) i have many friends who work there in the legoland model shop

Well get as many Pirate creations in there as you can lad! Let them know that the pirates are alive and well despite being neglected by the LEGO Company. Ahhhh, that's right, they haven't been neglecting over the past couple of years, its just that their latest pirate offerings are so forgettable...

Another useful Wikipedia article... I should really get compiling all the Wikipedia links into one thread...

Great name for the ship! I gotta say that I don't even know how one would get started on a ship this big. I honest to god have no idea where you would start. Its epic.

Ah, there's been some kind of update, now is there more deck on her or what? Something's been changed but nothing drastic.

Ha. I was just coming here to post this. So anyway; 8-o Very impressive update! I can't wait to see this baby finished, as it will surely be at the top of my favorite Pirate MOCs.

The balcony, little awnings, the decorated cannon posts and viking tiles make this ship a real beauty. I wonder if it has a stable interior....

Maybe he's been busy with "real life", that's what usually keeps people away from the forums which is why we're going to have upcoming newsletter. But in the mean time someone could PM him to let him know we're wondering what he's up to.

Welcome back Legopirate!

looking forward to more pics *y* :-$

Just a suggestion to consider for your rigging:

Aaron Morse used the lego string with a stud on each side to make his rigging.

Here's the BS pic:

This is something amazing! So big, so many guns and lots of details.

Does the ship already have a name? When do you plan to have it finished?

And who is this young man ;-) ? Is that you Mr. Legopirate?

aye she earned her self a name tis

Dos Mas Cervezas (two more beers in spanish)

she earned it through the countless beers that went into making her

ill have it done as soon as i can get more old brown jumpers

they make up most of the masts

i also need to get somemore 1x1 bricks with studs on all sides

ive ran out now!

oh oh i still need to get 23 cannons to make all my 104 gun ports fully stocked

Bricklink here i come

and as for the rigging

ive found that the new brown square rigging put side to side really works great

they arr connected by plates with clips on the top

i then wrapped the top part with black 8x8 lego netting to give it a cool look

great use of the string piece aaron!

and aye that is me :-$

Something like:

Title: The ship (better to write galleon?) Dos Mas Cervezas

Description: Work in progress by Legopirates

What do you think Mr. Legopirates?
