Thanks guys! :sweet:

By the way, I'm pretty sure the carrot is the same as all the others before it. They have always been pretty long to my knowledge.

I just can't recall it for sure. It ought to be same but seeing the same parts like the S1, Zombie's drumstick, or the raygun's laser beam, make me wonder if they are really the same.

I can even see the possibilities in other themes, especially with the medals from the swimmer, I think those would be great additions to Celebration Luke and Han.

I share the same sentiments.

That cape design was first used with the Jawa fig.

Thanks Omicron. I don't have a Jawa in my collection. Thus, I didn't notice that there is such a short robe existed before.

What are the markings (letters) on his belt buckle?

I believe it is Mf and it meant 'Minifigure' in cursive writing.

Do note that her cape design is of different sizes as compared with the regular one. I don't recall seeing such version before.

This cape also appeared on Lloyd Garmadon and the Jawas; Actually, any minifigure with short legs and a cape.

Wow! Spectacular review once again WhiteFang. One question, did the computer programmer's laptop come in the package opened or closed? When I say open and closed I mean the lid of the laptop. I want to know what to feel for in the package, even though I can feel the cup I need something to backup my feeling instincts.

NO, the Space Marine visor does not allow to fit on a standard visor. I will try to see if I can the picture of that. No promises.

I find this kind of disappointing. It limits the use of the helmet for no good reason. But since my Classic Space minifigs are going to spend most of their time inside their spaceship with their helmets on hooks, this isn't going to bother me too much.

The laptop is closed. If it's opened, I can imagine the laptop most likely to be spilt into halves.

A great detailed review - thanks Whitefang!

I like how you have shown how the figures fit together well with previous series. When Series 1 was first released, I didn't know that there would be more to follow so I wasn't particularly interested. However, as you have shown, the series are gradually allowing groups of figures to be assembled. For example, the sportsmen (and women!). There are plenty of other sports still to make (golf, cricket, horse racing...) but I'd quite like 'repeats' so that the Lego world have a range of teams taking part in each sport, as well as other genders and other roles in each sport (like a goalkeeper, referee or baseball pitcher).

Nice to see some more musicians here too (bagpiper and guitar girl). Hopefully there will be more to come so an orchestra or marching band can be built. In addition, I really like the figures representing different cultures. However, as I said earlier, these should be able to form groups so that a whole scene can be built For example, an Andean or Alpine community.

With the release of the Monsters line and Lord of the Rings, I don't think we'll be seeing too many horror or fantasy figures but the introduction of the 'Red Riding Hood' figure and the Sea King indicate that those who like fiction will be catered for.

As a City fan, I welcome all figures and accessories that fit in well with everyday life, so the Office Nerd, Swimmer, Tennis player will be very useful. The minifigures series provide a good opprtunity to create characters which do not generally fit into the usually City sets, like fire and police. I think this series has a good balance to accommodate everybody's interests.

I am sure that new series will keep coming while they continue to sell. I hope that prices do not increase though, as they are quite expensive. My hopes for the future are a hotel bellboy, another zookeeper, Elvis, a cricketer, and a tourist wearing a white Panama Hat with black rim (as they missed this character in the Indy line), a golfer, a shepherd and more musicians - looking forward to hopefully seeing some of these in the next great Series review, Whitefang...!

It limits the use of the helmet for no good reason.

The helmet was probably designed to go with the head design. Since the visor printed on the head, no need to make the helmet have that option.

Thanks for a great review once again, it was helpful. :sweet: This is going to be a great serie, best so far. If this trend of awesomeness continue, how great will Series 8 be then. I have read that it will have some cool suprises and secrets

Does anyone know whether or not the Valkyrie's sword is the same as the S5 Gladiator's, or is it a new mold? The sword itself looks the same, but the sword appears longer, so I am confused. Either way, it is a nice piece, though. Thanks

Super great review once again! I thought at first that the Aztek might be my favorite, but I don't like the helmets colour. Would have prefered it in Neptuns/ Spartans headgear colour. So the Space Marine is without a doubt my favorite. As a Mass Effect fan I would need 3 of these! Hopefully easy to find due to the huge body shield part.

But this is Lego! You should be able to use other heads with the helmet and have them still able to breathe in space.

This is the second Collectible Minifig army builder that limits you to one particular head. The other is the Royal Guard, though I guess that one won't look too odd if they don't all wear their chin straps. Or even if they all use the same face, since I guess they all need to look clean-shaven and stern anyway.

Thanks for such a great review WhiteFang, appreciate the effort and thought that goes in  For the series, it looks to be the most solid series so far but without any standout minifigs- none that I 'must have' but I certainly quite like them all!

Well in Lego's defense, Classic Space figs had no visors. :P

I have vague memories of classic helmets allowing visors though.

I wonder if you can use the hockey player's helmet. It would allow visors and match in color. I am very interested in using chromed astronaut visors on marines.

Thanks lifeinplastic. You can drop your minifigures suggestions in details in this topic. Maybe some of our other members may have also made similar suggestions.

It's the same. I am pretty certain of it.

Is the Space Marine helmet a different mold to that used for the white Astronaut, pink female Astronaut and Alien Conquest ADU figures?

Yes!

Great review of a great series. Bit disappointed in the evil knight - like others I find his armor to be overdone, TLG should have spent some of that decor on the torso. I also find the black torso of Red Riding Hood a bit off, and its a shame if a visor cant fit the space trooper helmet. But those are just about the only complaints I have.
