Posted March 9, 201212 yr Hello everyone, today I want to show you a creation I did a while back. Inspired by this set back in 2008, I wanted to recreate a more classical 4-wide one. But not one with a box body but rather with a canvas cover. Hope you like it. Thanks for risking a look and of course for comments... Cheers, Farnheim
March 9, 201212 yr Very nice design of the truck. Love the inclusion of the spare tire underneath it =) It does look a bit tall but I guess it's more because of the fact it's 4 wide, whereas 6 wide would fit the height proportions. Still a lovely looking thing .
March 9, 201212 yr Excellent 4 wide truck and trailer combo 'Farnheim' ! How about a fuel tanker in the same way eh ? Brick On in 4 wide 'Farnheim' !
March 9, 201212 yr I really love this 4 wide creation. The front of the cab is just wonderful. The trailers are excellent too.
March 9, 201212 yr Vehicles in this style bring back good memories :) - as always, a well-built vehicle presented in an impeccable way. Edited March 9, 201212 yr by L@go
March 10, 201212 yr WOW great truck! This is my favorite era for lego vehicles, when all the cars were 4 studs wide doing justice to trains 6 studs wide!
March 10, 201212 yr This is a really sweet old-school truck and trailer. The spare tyre is an extra detail worth looking for. If I am not mistaken, you even used some old wheels, right? Well done.
March 10, 201212 yr Now, normally I'm not a great fan of 4-wide, but this is just amazing and I just had to have a closer look since it was based on the Forklift & Truck (which unfortunately I didn't get... ) Buy anyway, that looks great!
March 12, 201212 yr Author Thank you all for the kind comments. I really appreciate it. @ redhead: Yep, I used those old wheels for that, which I predominantly put on my MOCs. @ lightning tiger: Well, I have one. But not with a trailer. It's a little fuel oil tank truck:
March 12, 201212 yr Great creations Farnheim, I think I like the tank truck even better than your trailer. It's amazing how many details you put into your 4wide vehicles. It always strikes me a bit unexpected, because I remember the 4wide vehicles from the 80s/90s to be rather plain.
March 12, 201212 yr More lovely trucks, 'Farnheim'! Somehow I missed the one above, but am glad you posted the shell truck. They look great, I love the color choice on the haul truck and you can't go wrong with Shell. Keep them coming
March 13, 201212 yr I am amazed of all the details, but my favourite feature is the green and black and gray colour palette of the assembly.
