I think the difference between the weapons lego made and the weapons / themes they don't want to make is the mass aspect...

All those weapon themes are either ancient or futuristic and none does really belong to any war like we know it from our normal live...

None of them are used in big battles (at least not in TLC's mind, what people do with hundreds of Battle Droids and Gungans is their own thing...)

Ok i have had a few emails sent to me asking what i know about the new dinosaurs/adventures line, i would like to take this time to let everyone know that i dont have any news on this line.

I dont have any ties to lego or have any contacts within the company all i know is what ive read on these boards and on other message boards, alot (if not all) of what is written in this topic is speculation.

I would also like to remind all the new guys that any news on new sets will be posted on the front page of this website, so please check there before asking about new sets it does help and it stops other members from getting upset with you. :)

Guns of LEGO:

Flintlock Pistol - http://peeron.com/inv/parts/2562

Last issued in the Black Seas Barracuda Legend, 2002.

Musket - http://peeron.com/inv/parts/2561

Last issued in the Juniors Pirate Line, 2004. (so the AFOLs/TFOLs don't get guns, but the KFOLs do...? Nice move, LEGO)

Revolver - http://peeron.com/inv/parts/30132

Last issued in the Oriental Adventurers, 2003.

Rifle - http://peeron.com/inv/parts/30141

Last issued in Wild West Legends, 2002.

So, as far as I see it, LEGO doesn't have a problem giving us guns, albeit in either a) rereleases or b) in sets targeted at children.

They've got to realize that police do have guns, as do robbers, that it's not just desperados and swashbucklers that're packing heat.

Thanks for the links Jay. And thanks for your thoughts on how the Lego machine operates. It is funny that Lego does not offer any adult geared sets with guns but the junior sets still have them. :-D ;)

Oh, Toy Fair it is then. We can also look forward to other sets that we haven't seen yet, like the Underwater Exlporation Designer set. I'm not sure whether they'll show Vikings or Hsrry Potter though, since they're being released later on in the year.

I thin they might not get released. Jindroush told us a while ago that they abandoned the line, and we haven't seen any information about it anywhere.
