Orlego Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Pirates had guns. Is this the reason why the Pirate line is gone? SW has lazer guns but does that count? Quote
Vader Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 To me i believe that lego went the easy way when it comes to the laser guns on the SW figs. Quote
Orlego Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Yeah they did. They could have made real looking SW guns like the ones found at The Little Armory. Quote
ApophisV Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 I think the difference between the weapons lego made and the weapons / themes they don't want to make is the mass aspect... All those weapon themes are either ancient or futuristic and none does really belong to any war like we know it from our normal live... None of them are used in big battles (at least not in TLC's mind, what people do with hundreds of Battle Droids and Gungans is their own thing...) Quote
Orlego Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 They did have pistols and rifels at one time. Kind of Wild West, Civil War style. :) Quote
Vader Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 Ok i have had a few emails sent to me asking what i know about the new dinosaurs/adventures line, i would like to take this time to let everyone know that i dont have any news on this line. I dont have any ties to lego or have any contacts within the company all i know is what ive read on these boards and on other message boards, alot (if not all) of what is written in this topic is speculation. I would also like to remind all the new guys that any news on new sets will be posted on the front page of this website, so please check there before asking about new sets it does help and it stops other members from getting upset with you. :) Quote
jonfett Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 I dont have any ties.. :D Yeah right! Jon. Quote
The Middleman Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 Guns of LEGO: Flintlock Pistol - http://peeron.com/inv/parts/2562 Last issued in the Black Seas Barracuda Legend, 2002. Musket - http://peeron.com/inv/parts/2561 Last issued in the Juniors Pirate Line, 2004. (so the AFOLs/TFOLs don't get guns, but the KFOLs do...? Nice move, LEGO) Revolver - http://peeron.com/inv/parts/30132 Last issued in the Oriental Adventurers, 2003. Rifle - http://peeron.com/inv/parts/30141 Last issued in Wild West Legends, 2002. So, as far as I see it, LEGO doesn't have a problem giving us guns, albeit in either a) rereleases or b) in sets targeted at children. They've got to realize that police do have guns, as do robbers, that it's not just desperados and swashbucklers that're packing heat. Quote
Orlego Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 Thanks for the links Jay. And thanks for your thoughts on how the Lego machine operates. It is funny that Lego does not offer any adult geared sets with guns but the junior sets still have them. :-D ;) Quote

Yeah right! You know when i was writing i knew that someone would say something regarding that line :-D Quote
bigbase Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 Pics from the Dino,s on 12/2/2005 here on this forum ;) Quote
sam89 Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 Yay, another Eurobricks exclusive! :-D And it's only 21 days away ;) Quote
sam89 Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 So are you posting the pics yourself on 12th February, or are they coming from Toy Fair? Because Toy Fair is on the 20th Februrary. Quote
bigbase Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 oeps sorry 20/2/2005 sorry not 12/2/2005 :') Quote
sam89 Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 Oh, Toy Fair it is then. We can also look forward to other sets that we haven't seen yet, like the Underwater Exlporation Designer set. I'm not sure whether they'll show Vikings or Hsrry Potter though, since they're being released later on in the year. Quote
The Middleman Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 I can't wait for Toy Fair 2k5! Is it going to be covered by Eurobricks? I know FBTB and Rebelscum always cover LEGO, though. Quote
jonfett Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 This would be hard for us as toy fair is in the US and we are mostly all European. But perhaps we will get some pics from it. Jon. Quote
The Middleman Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 I just hope we'll get TONS of pics of the new City stuff, and TONS of pics of the new Vikings stuff. Then I'll be a happy man! :D Quote
The Middleman Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Will the Viking theme be shown there? With the recent news that it's coming in June/July, yes, I think it will be. Quote
bigbase Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 does someone have already new information on the new dinos sets? Quote
sam89 Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 I thin they might not get released. Jindroush told us a while ago that they abandoned the line, and we haven't seen any information about it anywhere. Quote
bigbase Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 I have a photograph with there on a plane and am of the adventure serial but am that it same as dino serial Quote
