What a beautiful modular building. Great color scheme.

The elevator is a great detail. I am still struggling to add movement to the buildings to make it more interesting for the public on events.

However, I envision a greenhouse on the roof, sprouting cute pumpkin-headed minifigs. The attic would serve as a slaughterhouse where pumpkinheads are sacrificed for seeds and extract. Next floor down, the seeds undergo genetic engineering in a lab so that the next generation will exhibit accelerated growth. Second floor, we would see the pumpkinhead extracts processed into cans and syrups. Main floor, a posh cafe serves pumpkin pies and pumpkin spice lattes to gentlemen in top hats, unaware of the atrocities necessary to produce their $5 cup of bliss.

Twisted kind of humour, wrapped in serous talent  I like!!!

Sounds awesome, I would definitely pay a visit.

Will there be guided tours to the attic? :oh::devil:

When i first opened this tread, is was absolutly stunned by the first pictures. What a magnificent building, what a great use of colours. It has the looks and is very apealing. Great work and you realy rocked my blocks. Hope to see more of your work.

Very impressive.

This MOC is a great source of inspiration for all new members like me.

I like your twisted sense of humour even more than I like your build.

And now I'm off to study your elevator design

The 4 toothed bars on the back of the elevator are driven up or down by 2 or 3 worms secured between half bushes and cross blocks along 9 or 12M axles. Axles are connected between floors by cross axle extension 2M. Removing the extension to the basement allows one to manually rotate the column by the wheel in the attic. Yes, you could try it in the town hall. You'd have to devote 4x4 for the column and 4x6 for the elevator, though there could be ways to reduce the footprint further.

Hi I am struggling to see how the system works, do you have an ldd or mlcad file that I could see as this design looks like it would work perfectly for my hospital that I am building

An LDD file is available in the first post! And even in LDD it looks awesome!

TOP WORK! *oh2*

This modular building should become an original LEGO set!

I'll repeat what I said on Flickr: This is a stunning piece of work. What I didn't mention was how I love the color combinations on this - it's a fantastic blend of earthly colors and with a mix of orange that doesn't seem to stand out as much as one would think.

Altough for some reason, I can't help to think of this as a some sort of tea house. But then again, maybe that's the point, with how you envision it.

I have no words!!Excellent colour combination, and the lift its superb. How much time did you spend doing it?

A few hrs/day for 2 weeks to design the .lxf, 1 week to acquire parts, plus an extra week to redesign the elevator after the first one failed.

As I suspected, it survived the transformation from digital file to genuine brick-built model perfectly. And that elevator... great job. It looks so nice going up and down - I'd expect that to cause a bit of a stir at any convention :)

This is late, but I want to say thanks for the support and tip explaining the Lego pool on Flickr. I'm new there and had no idea! In regards to a convention, I had been hoping to bring the Pumpkin Factory among ~8 MOCs to my first Brickworld in June, but it looks like family circumstances will hinder those plans. :cry_sad: Hopefully it'll work out in the future!

Also, thank you sonicstarlight for the mention on Brick Town Talk!

I love it! Too bad it is not an official Lego Modular or I'd buy it right away for sure!

The color scheme is the best.

Quite stunning

Do you have the instructions on this build. It is quite remarkable, and would be a welcome site in my city.

One of the few buildings of LEGO bricks I actually wish to be real so I could visit it in real Life! :sweet:

Download and install Lego Digital Designer from Lego ( http://ldd.lego.com ), then download the .lxf file here or in the original post. Next, you may select each floor with the connected elements tool, select inverse, delete, save as floor 1 etc, then generate instructions within the program or as html.

I just can't stop looking at this MOC - it's so beautiful and perfect in every way

How did you manage to get all the parts in a week and where did you get them?

I assume acquiring the parts for this was the same as for most MOCs you'd see here. I pulled what I had from our collection and purchased what we lacked from Bricklink. Most BL orders were delivered within a week.

Impressed! the lift mecanism is very well done.

I'm deep impressed about your building, it will be for sure part of my growing city!!

great job!

and... do you mind if I change some minor parts of your project? just to personalize a little bit

Beautiful building! The color and overall design is great, and the moving elevator and conveyors are top notch.

Definitely one of my favorite buildings.
