I love that set brickmaster. I never had a chance to get one when I was a kid so I hope Lego makes it into a Legend set. ;)

That is a great set. BUT it will never come as a legend. The molds for the railing system are gone.

And LEGO has said that they will not be able to replace them :'(

Actually it's a megablocking lie (as always)... They might have broken the molds, but nothing can prevent them from doing another one... I really wander why lego is never telling us the truth. :(

I would think that Lego has a Master mold for everything that is made that has been put into a safe somewhere. There is no way the master mold would have been destroyed. They can also make a new mold from and final track piece. Sometimes I don't know what in the hell they are thinking. |-/ ;)

And the time alone that Lego spent just developing and testing each part. There is no whay the master mold is gone. I just think Lego wanted to simplify the line and vowed to never bring the sets back again. But even if they did this, there is no way the master mold is gone.

I agree, perhaps it was proven to be to exspensive to continue making this set???

I thing that this was the main problem, however, trains can't be cheap to make abd they still make them. I know this topic is not about trains but what if Lego started a subway collection? they could do NYC's subway and London's Underground. ;)

monorails are expensive, but i really liked them. i think they are just too expensive too turn into a legend, which sucks major megablock. also, i think they make trains because you see them more, which meens you can relate to them more, which meens you will buy them more(really!?!?) trains are just plain more popupular, so they still sell them.

It is not that the monorail sets would not sell well or that trains or more popular. The monorail sets sold extremely well for Lego. I just think Lego did not make much of a profit from them. The monorail sets used much more plastic than the largest train sets because they came with a ton of track and minifigs. Lego says they accidentally destroyed the molds but we all know this is a bunch of Megablock.

Black Seas Barracuda:

This Legends re-release was probably my first big set, I loved it to death. I've stupidly broken it down several times for parts, but can never resist finding the pieces (no mean feat) and rebuilding.

Dragon Fortress:

 Recently brought back to my attention by Z06's great review. LEGO really outdid themselves here, it looks great and it's so playable.

Cheers.

I guess that it's got to be the UCS Millennium Falcon (10179). It's massive, iconic, challenging to build and incredibly detailed. My second choice would be 886 (Vintage Space Buggy); I think that this was my first ever set...!

My all-time n°1 is 2507 (Ninjago 2011 Fire Temple).

Lego-2507-Ninjago---Swiatynia-ognia_za10_o_1.jpg

Seven amazing minifigs (including a four-armed skeleton), a ton of weapons, a giant LEGO fire dragon, and an enormous splittable temple: I could not ask more. This set (but the Ninjago theme in general) managed to bring back in me the LEGO passion that I lost in the past 10 years.

Wow, this is a difficult question to answer. I don't know my favourite of ALL TIME, I need to think about that. But so far my favourites of 2012 are 6858 Catwoman Catcycle City Chase and 6862 Superman Vs Power Armour Lex.

I really like the printed newspaper tiles that come with the Catwoman set, and I LOVE all the minifigs in both sets.

Hehe, I have a few:

•10184 Town Plan- What's there to say about this set that hasn't already been said?

•7641 City Corner- Man, the hype up from me for this set was amazing. And, the set lived up to all of my hype.

•8403 City House- Another exceptional City set. I love the details, and the building is amazing.

•8804 CMF Series 4- My favorite CMF series. I love everyone of the minifigures, and it's a shame I only own 3 figures from this series.

•7596 Trash Compactor Escape- This is probably my most out-of-line choice. This is my favorite set of my favorite licensed theme. Again, the hype from me for this set was amazing. This was the first, and only set I personally ordered from Toys'R'Us.com.

•10185 Green Grocer- Another one of those highly praised sets that I own, and it deserves all of its praise. I love the intricate details, the interior, and its a perfect grocery store.

Tough call. The most sought set I'd like to own is 6075 Black Monarchs Castle. The monorails have a close place in my heart as well.

Of the sets I own, 10210 Imoerial Flagship

I was thinking or running a series of polls leading up to this topic. Although, thinking about it, that would be a massive job. :cry_sad: Still, I may try it out, at least on the Castle or Pirate themes first, and if all goes well than get into some other themes. Ultimately though, I am fairly certain at least, the bigger sets will always be nominated first, unless one rates them by price and all, but then that can not properly be seen as a "Favourite Lego Set" topic. More of a "Favourite Lego Set for Price" topic. :sceptic:
