To be honest, the batcave looks a little too generic. And I doubt that the set with the Joker will cost less than 50 EUR/USD. But I will buy the set for sure. BTW is that Joker vs Batman set a re-issue of the old series or are there any differences apart from the redesigned minifigures? Quote

They all look very generic and uninteresting. The minifigs are going to be the stars of the show this time around, I can already feel it. First off thank you so much for the pics, as for impressions they are clearly very preliminary but none the less awesome (I mean two-face in his classic blue and brown suit ) although I have noticed that they recycled quite a bit of the vehicle designs which is disappointing to say the least. sok117 Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 (edited) Man there are a lot of similarities between the batman sets from three years ago. Except it looks like everything got smaller. First Thoughts Batman vs. Catwoman - It's pretty much the same thing we got last year for catwoman. Batman has a neat jetpack, I can only hope his printing will resemble some sort of flight suit variant. I also think we'll get some sick news papers which would be sweet! Batcave- I'm pretty excited for this one! The set looks pretty good with a 1 person computer, a garage door, "bat-gear" and a prison cell to hold poison Ivy. I also like the vehicle bane has cause it reminds me a lot of the older comics. Another thing I'm noticing is the top most point above the bat x-ray. I think thats a bat-cave entrance hatch wich will function as a bruce wayne in, batman out sorta feature. Overall, pretty cool! Also, Robin looks like his cape is both yellow and black! Superman vs. Lex - Looks like a pretty solid set content wise. Nice range of figures too. Bubble cockpit in trans clear! And lots and lots of dark green. Overall pretty sweet! Batman vs. Joker - Smaller rehash of the older set, and very dissapointing. The helicopter looks blockier then ever, as well as the batwing. I can't see much, but thats what it looks like. I think the person driving the heli-copter might be a stand in for harley quinn maybe. Batman vs. Twoface - The batmobile looks better then the first cause it's more compact which I like. But I think the wings are way to big, other then that it looks good. I can only hope that Double-Face's orange and blue car might get changed to the lesser known batman villan two-face and a black and white car . Looks likt the truck includes a minigun, crane, and turret. Looks like the bank comes with a cop a safe and a breakable wall. If the truck changes, we'll talk! The Batcave: I'm guessing we get a Bruce Wayne but he's in the costume machine. It's actually quite nice though. Bane and Robin look good, and Ivy's head is nice. Kinda a nice smaller version of the older Batcave. Superman V.S. Lex Luthor: LOVE IT!!!! The robots really nice and the figs are amazing! I can't wait to get this one! Batman V.S. The Joker: ......... it's ok but it's the same as the old one just smaller. Hopefully we get Harley Quin and not just a henchmen. Batman V.S. Two Face: At first I hated it, but it's growing on me. I like the inclusion of the police officer, maybe its Gordon!! I kinda wish we got Riddler though. Quote

I do like the Batmobile, but why does my translator say "Double Face' not 'Two Face' ? Looks like Lex Luthor has a Kryptonite power weapons system. Oky Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Even though these are still highly preliminary, it's still good to finally get an idea of what these sets will look like, so thank you very much! It seems that our speculations were correct that they are taking a similar approach to the revival of Lego Batman as they did with Harry Potter with retro versions of the original sets. What I like: Batman's jetpack looks sweet! The Batcave looks much better than the first one! I like the weapons rack, the computer seems better designed, and most importantly, it seems to be much more affordable! Lex's mech looks great with all that trans-light-green! The Batmobile looks better with this windscreen and without that stupid Technic missile. What I don't like: The Batwing set looks worse than before. It would be especially disappointing if Joker really does end up having a simple flag instead of the awesome "BANG" flag he had in the previous version. "Double Face". Need I say more? All in all, it's looking promising. Now we just have to wait for the final pics to show up. I'm still waiting to see the Riddler figure Could it be that the helicopter pilot is actually the Riddler? The batcave looks more technologically advanced than the old one, and the new figs look good. I like Lex Luthors mech a lot. Lime green... I'm still kicking myself for missing the first Batman line, so I'm just glad to have actual sets to purchase. My only major gripes are that I really wish they'd go with a less flamboyant Two-Face, and that I'd still like to see pictures of the Riddler and Harley Quinn minifigs. Redblade Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 (edited) At first glance it appears that these are nothing more than a rehash of the original Batman sets from '06, but I figure if it ain't broke, don't fix it. There have countless Star Wars retools and they're still raking in the cash. 6858: The underlying concept is very similar to 7779, but I like the addition of a traffic light and newspaper box for decoration, and Batman's flight suit could be good if executed correctly. 6860: Smaller than 7783, but it could serve as a nice add-on. It looks like the Cave and feels like the Cave, and Bane riding a giant drill is an instant win. 6862: Do I need to spell it out? It's Superman and Wonder Woman fighting a mecha-clad Lex Luthor; how can this possibly fail? 6863: A much smaller rehash of 7782. There's really not much difference here, but I've wanted that new Joker since I first set eyes on it... Ah, well, he might appear in another set. 6864: A vast improvement on 7781. Twice as many thugs, a tow truck with a minigun, a bank facade, and a bank guard for good measure.
