ScaryScarecrow Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 This has probably been asked several times before, but searching this topic didn't find the answer to this question, so: Is the Lex Luthor pre-order in the USA? I remember US Gamestop having it on their website for awhile before swapping it with the "Buy it at GameStop whenever and get these bad guys,". It really doesn't matter if it isn't, though, seeing as I pre-ordered the game unaware of that Lex Luthor's existence. Quote

The character pack is exclusive to power up members, which is free to join. The lex promo is probably done. If you pre order it already, you'll get him. If not, its too late. And the iron man 3 sets are great news! EDIT: The character pack is also only on ps3 and xbox 360. Edited June 19, 2012 by sologuy369 Quote

I preordered last month I believe, and am in Powerups. I'm gonna have to buy the heroes pack off eBay if it turns out it's not just the codes you use on the code entering screen in every previous LEGO game, but actually one DLC codes (Is that a first?) Pennas2000 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Iron man 3 sets are awesome news! Hopefully we get War machine. And the movie doesnt suck. Quote

Faefrost Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Also on IGN last week they said that Marvel are cancelling the current Avengers cartoon ( Earths Mightiest Heroes) after season two, and will be replacing it with an Avengers film to tie into the Current Cinematic Marvel Universe. The confirmed Characters are the same as the recent film but there also adding in Falcon. Since this is tied to the Movie and Future films does this mean (A) There maybe a Falcon film or cameo in a Film on the way (B) That LEGO will make sets around this as its based in the same Universe? The Falcon would make sense. There has long been speculation that he would be appearing prominently in the second Captain America movie. He is the modern Cap's best friend, sort of the modern replacement for Bucky, and for the film makers that contrast between the whitest white boy on the planet timelost from 1944 and the modern urban black best friend has got to be too good to pass up. Just so long as no Wayans brothers are involved it should be great. And I would sooo love a Falcon minifig. (Classic red and white with the open chest suit please. The newer one looks a little lame, and the original suit is horrible. ) I'm just not sure how they would do the hair/headband. Quote
iambob13 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Should we go ahead and start jumping to conclusions about what kind of sets we might get? YES! I think they need a tony stark with sports car and Happy Hogan driver (riding in the passenger seat). I also think that we need an Agent Colson fig to pay tribute to his character in all the films. Faefrost Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 (edited) FF is still owned by another company, so they really can't touch it at the moment. Right now, I'd think it would be way too confusing to audiences to have Evans play Cap and then go back to play Torch. Plus, he'd have to drop maybe 30lbs to get back to Torch build. Besides, I heard they were rebooting FF anyway. Lego can do FF sets. Just not sets based on the recent FF movies. They can pull from the comics and do some traditional sets. Like classic uniforms, fighting a gigantic Bionacle/Hero Factoryesque Galactus Or a classic flying bathtub. of all the Marvel Properties the FF is probably the one that most lends itself to Lego. They are the Marvel Superheroes that have all the really cool vehicles and toys. Fantasticars, Pogo Plane, various rockets, subs and shrinking ships. A very clearly defined and mapped out headquarters. Even a named and recognizable mailman. (speaking of which am I alone in really really really wanting a real Jarvis minifig? The stuffy british butler in the pinstripe pants type Jarvis. Not the voice in Tony Stark's helmet Jarvis?) Rumor also has it that Marvel is seeking to use some of their gazillion$ of Avengers money to buyback some of the outstanding rights to their big properties. While it may be hard to shake X Men loose from Fox, and no Sony exec wants to be the one that signs Spiderman back over, the FF is viewed as a ripe candidate for Marvel to buy back and make themselves. A remake without Marvels direct participation is viewed as iffy at best. I suspect that if they did that they would probably go more with the Ultimate version of the team. The younger teen and college age geniuses. First thought that came to my mind when I heard Iron Man 3 sets: Pepper Potts!!!! In "Rescue" armor? Edited June 19, 2012 by Faefrost Quote
Sam892 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 This is great news! So next year Lego are making Man of Steel sets and Iron man 3 sets surely they can just tell us there making Thor sets and have all the upcoming films. Hopefully Lego backtrack so we get sets from the previous films. I would love to see a cave escape or a formula one themed showdown. I can't wait to get Rhodey fig and a Pepper Potts fig. Quote

Also: Good news on the ironman 3 sets, I'd be mroe interested in Thor 2 sets but im sure that'll be a thing aswell! Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 (edited) My dreams are coming true! Offical Iron Man sets! And know I'll spend the rest of this year in total suspense. Edited June 19, 2012 by Im a brickmaster. Quote

I think Elektra may be included as well it has to have been 5 years since that film was made. It was mentioned that FF has been about 5 years, too, but the studio only has to have a working title and a writer attached. I think that's some BS. Whoever wrote these contracts or allowed them to be signed off on needs to be fired. That's a very dumb move. I don't think I want to see the FF as teenagers. I already thought that, while hot, Jessica alba seemed a bit too young to pull off a Susan Storm. I'm more than fine with comic bases sets. Quote
Iron-Man Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 It is nice to have confirmation on the Iron Man 3 sets, but honestly who didn't expect them? That pretty much guarantees that we will be seeing Thor 2 sets! Still crossing my fingers for that Beta Ray Bill Quote
SpiderSpaceman Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 I think someone already made a post similar to this one. I believe it was stated that they already got blade and daredevil back WAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOO now we just need Wesley Snipes let off from his insanely evil prison sentence. Quote

Not sure if they have DareDevil back but I know they have Blade and Punisher back. Although the likely hood of them adding them to a shared universe like the Cinematic universe is low. The target audiences are to different and both Punisher and Blade are aimed at 18+. It sucks but I can understand if Marvel do not add them in. Hopefully by the time Marvel consider rebooting the Avengers franchise which will be at least a decade away, they will have back the rights to everything. It would be awesome for an avengers film to be based around the civil war storyline. Quote
Obsidious Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 I can't wait for Iron Man sets! Hopefully we will see some from the first two movies as well. Quote
Miss Kyle Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Oh Lego, what are you doing to my savings... Quote
TheLegoDr Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 That's great news about the Iron Man sets. People have talked about TLC taking inspiration from comics, but it sounds like they will probably pull as much inspiration from the upcoming movies Marvel is doing. Which is smart to tap into that existing fan-base and feed off of an already successful franchise, but with the way they are pumping out movies, we may never see any actual comic derived sets. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with building a scene with Lego. Just an observation. I would imagine we will get Thor 2 sets also (as others have mentioned). It would be neat to get some other figures in their universe than just the main hero. Hopefully they will make the figures a little different, otherwise it would be silly of me to have gone Super Hero crazy this wave if we will get rehashes of the same people next year. Quote
wesker Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Great news about Iron Man 3 sets. I just hope X-Men isn't going to be neglected to one set again next year. I'm assuming we'll see a Japan-related Wolverine set to tie in with the new movie (though based on the comic rather than the film itself) but it would be nice to see some of the other team members. You get a character, not a Minifigure. That got me excited. Thanks for the info, though. The Gamestop promo seems better. Quote
