I have to admit although I'm not a fan of the new Doc Ock fig I was pleased to see he had both a reversible head and his eyes are not 'CW style'. Maybe the figure will grow on me, I wasn't a fan of the new Two Face figure but after purchasing the set a couple of days ago I really like him.

Also I'm not sure about us seeing some of the classic villains just yet. As far as I can remember none of them have appeared yet on the show apart from Venom and Doc Ock. In the show Spidey and pals team up with with more Experience heroes to fight some of there villains like Loki and Sabretooth.

Oh boy! So we have the potential of yet another Loki minifig! This time with Spiderman!

No really, the crying you see is tears of joy, not despair. No really I'm not lying. I swear on my honor as a Congressman.

That is not necessarily the Shazam picture. That is a crop from a larger picture of Batman 2 characters. As yet, minifigures designed for video games haven't been made into real minifigures, although LEGO seems to be going in that direction (I'm not sure if power-suit Lex Luthor matches, but the electric-suit Batman is coming). It is very likely that that will be the Shazam minifigure, but I wouldn't call it 100% guaranteed.

Actually the power-suit Lex isn't even in the game. :hmpf_bad:

So no TDKR set despite the Variety articles and the theatrical poster with the LEGO logo? That is defintely a huge disappointment for me, as the Nolan films are my favorite rendition of Batman to date. :sceptic:

I wasn't expecting an exact movie set, maybe something like in 2008 when we got the Bat Tumbler and the comic Joker hybrid set. This is a huge wasted chance to get a new Bat tumbler, Bat-pod or Bat-wing. Although I could see the Tumbler being released in the future possibly.

Shazam promo at CC? That is cool, but I would prefer to have cool figs in their own set. Or like with the Hulk promo in May, spend x amount and get one.

It wouldn't surprise me if lego had one in secret. They most likely don't want to announce it due to a leak. Maybe I'm just being hopeful... Hopefully if they do release a set it would include the main trio ( Bane, Batman and Catwoman) with a couple of vehicles like the Batpod and tumbler.

I'm sorry, but I really don't think we are getting DKR sets. At all. It has already been confirmed. A secret Superhero set? Could be possible. DKR secret set? Most likely not.

Agreed. I strongly suspect that TLG is going to dance very carefully around the new DK movie. Really as we saw with the last one, the Nolan material is getting a bit outside what they would normally consider age appropriate. We might get another Tumbler at some point. But it would still be dressed up more comic book, animated series or Burton era characters and themes. But I suspect that they will simply push the current sets in conjunction with the movie rather than directly tie in with it. ("see we got a Bane set, a Catwoman set" etc).

I wouldn't worry about 'CW style' since the new Spiderman show is animated in a completely different way...

All this hate towards TLG for having exclusives... Like they're the only company you does is and is unheard of. There's nothing wrong with having exclusive items, TLG does it on more than just Toy Fair/Conventions. Theres sets that aren't sold in every country, the Inside Tour sets, and the GB figs. I'll just chalk all these complaints and not being able to please everyone.

Another thing, just because LEGO is a childrens toy and what their reputation is doesn't mean they can't accommodate the AFOLs. That's like saying they shouldn't make D2C and the like sets because they're for older kids/teenagers and not the target audience.

Was it ever said by an actual Lego news site that TLG would be producing DKR sets? And I don't mean reposted on a Lego site, but someone actually did some legwork and interviewed someone that has a clue. I think this is most likely AFOLs getting overly excited and reading too much into what someone, who doesn't know the difference between a normal Lego Batman set and a DKR set, mentioned in an interview. The person probably just mentioned sets based on Batman were coming out. Neither side of the interview probably knew or had a clue there was a difference.

I like the big cartoon eyes on Spider-Man however.

Cartoon-ish eyes? That's straight comicbook there. He should have large and very expressive eyes. That's the Spidey I know and love.

Thats exactly what I meant by the comment :classic: I love all the Spider-Man comics as well and I consider those cartoon as well since they are drawn like they should be animated. The comment was more against the angry little beady Toby McGuire eyes TLG gave the last waves of Spider-Man.

Actually according to them it sorta does to some degree. While sets will be targeted at different age groups, including AFOLs, any set bearing the Lego logo must at least be of subject matter or based on source material that would be ok for 6 to 12 year olds. If you wouldn't take your 10 year old to the movie, don't expect a Lego set of it. They formalized this policy a great deal recently regarding CuuSoo and the Sean of the Dead Winchester and the Firefly Serenity.

i dont know anyone that would think LOTR (the movies) would be great for an 8 - 10 year old... Its very dark and graphic, especially in the killing scenes. You've got scary things going on in that movie.

I also don't think the movie is any problem. They made Dark Knight related sets after all (I know they weren't directly related, but it was the Tumbler and the Batpod, so that's pretty related). They made Harry Potter sets to coincide with the last films, and those were pretty brutal at times (Voldemort walking through puddles of blood anyone?). It's possible that LEGO doesn't think it needs direct tie-ins because the comic, more bright sets will suffice and also appeal to people who don't like Nolan's Batman. Or maybe we will get a surprise set. Who knows.

Hi Guys, Finally got my long awaiting Electro Suit Batman from Visual Dictionary.

Awesome minifig with identical pattern as the LEGO BATMAN 2 Video Game! Cool!

Just lookat how dark the Harry potter series developed into. There was so much death and scary creatures. The films however are still rated for a younger audience though just like LOTR even though there aimed at adults mainly there's no swearing or sexual scenes which is ok. To some degree Star Wars and Indiana Jones had some violent scenes in them which were questionable. Just look at poor Darth Maul.

Also that electro suit Batman looks pretty cool. Not sure about the new cowl in him however.

Same as the game design, there is no cowl along with this electro suit Batman.
