deskp Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 How do we know how it is even a Superheroes set? All we see is a big corner of scenery for a set. Do we even know what theme it is? No. because its right next to the avengers brick buildt figures. But anyways the real news is in the image I linked of the toy fair cards. we have no idea what theme it is. but the style look alot like tdkr and the dc press release did hint a bit at tdkr sets(or something similar) Quote
Cammo Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Maybe it's just a minifig or two from the Monster Hunters theme. That theme also has that colour pattern in their backgrounds of their boxart. Quote
deskp Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Maybe it's just a minifig or two from the Monster Hunters theme. That theme also has that colour pattern in their backgrounds of their boxart. But the card shows modern envoirements, a tunnel and some kind of road. It might just be some random NYC imagery seeing as it is NYc toy fair but it seems abit out of place on the overall design of the card so I'm guessing its to match the minifigures. Quote
Cammo Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I hope that TDK-sets include at scenes from previous movies but that's just wishful thinking... Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I doubt it, even though we have two Batman this year....but that's because it Bat's from two different era's....one from the TV world of the 60's and one from the movie era of the 80's and beyond. We do indeed have a couple different Batman suits this year and had four in the previous Batman theme, all reflecting different eras and iterations and interpretations and whatnot of the character, but I don't think any of them specifically represent the '60s TV series, except in the most indirect of ways. I'm pretty sure the '60s show and movie is excluded from the variety of Bat-media and Bat-interpretations available to TLG - Warner Bros. owns DC Comics and most of the movies and TV shows based on their characters from the past three and a half decades or so (or more simply, "most of the movies and TV shows"), but the '60s series is actually owned by Fox, I think, in the same way Sony's Spider-Man movies are owned by Sony, even though they license the characters and stories from Marvel to make them (which is why TLG's current Marvel license includes the comics stuff in general as well as the movie versions of The Avengers and the various other characters/movies that tie into it, but not the movie versions of Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider, etc.) Quote
Cammo Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Just went to several stores today and guess what. No Lego Superheroes in Belgian stores... yet. Quote
Batbrick Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Well, so far I have purchased the Wonder Woman set, the Catwoman set, and recently the Two-Face set, which I couldn't pass up as Two-Face is my favourite Batvillain. I'm thinking of the Batcave set, but it seems even more ludicrously over priced than the rest of the sets. Overall I'm happy to see a return of DC but wish they had not just rehashed old sets. Maybe next year. Batbrick Away! Quote
Clone gunner comander jedi Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 (edited) If any of you remember the lego club magazine that came with a free super heroes comic i found decent scans of it here. Edited February 9, 2012 by Clone gunner comander jedi Quote

Clone OPatra Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I always watch FBTB and SirStevesGuide. Both have excellent coverage every year. Quote
YangHao6998 Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I know the spiderman sets are based on the comic books but I hope they make a set with the lizard Quote
Lyichir Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I know the spiderman sets are based on the comic books but I hope they make a set with the lizard He probably wouldn't look like he does in the movie, but being from the comics originally it's not an impossibility that we'd see him. Quote
BigHobbit Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 He probably wouldn't look like he does in the movie, but being from the comics originally it's not an impossibility that we'd see him. Agreed. We know the first set is called Doc Ock's Ambush and is probably a Lego/Toys R Us exclusive. Considering the Batman exclusive had 5 different minifigs, who knows what the Spider-man set will contain? I'd love for it to come with a Mary Jane and/or some of the Sinister Six. Quote

Behavior like this is not appropriate for this forum. I'm sure there were people who clicked the link. What were you expecting? Calm down and move on. Quote

Oky Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 LOL, awesome. I wonder how many other of the Avengers will be maxified. Also, the background in that picture proves that the exclusive minifigs will probably be from the Avengers, not TDKR. Quote
