B-Lister Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Really hope we see more DC sets at Toy Fair. Don't want to wait until SDCC. Quote

Directly from Marvel! http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/JoshWildingNewsAndReviews/news/?a=54565 Beat me to it However on this website http://marvel.com/news/story/18104/first_look_avengers_toys_from_lego, it states at the bottom 'Please note that not all Avengers LEGO minifigures and accessories included in each set are pictured in these images.' This could mean 1. As with the London Toy Fair, some figures aren't being shown due to spoilers etc. and 2. This is showing that the figures are not finalised and neither are the accessories. I mean, look at Loki's staff, it sounds nothing like what we've heard from the descriptions of the previous toy fairs we've had from Brickset and FBTB saying its a 1x1 clear brick. Either way, i think we can all tell thats not a Cosmic Cube sitting on top. Edited February 12, 2012 by Housey98 Quote
deskp Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I jsut read on MARVEL website that these image are taken from the toy fair so most likely they wont have FINISHED minifigures there. If that is the case then this is very dissapointing, they havent even put on stickers for the new face prints. Quote
K-Nut Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 The figures are far from finished, but I need to have all these sets! Quote
AvengeLEGOs Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 So Black Widow, Cap and Hulk are each only in one set. Looks like the Jeep set is the only skippable one Quote
K-Nut Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 So Black Widow, Cap and Hulk are each only in one set. Looks like the Jeep set is the only skippable one I found that weird, too. Especially since the entire movie is from the perspective of Cap. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 It says there are three mini-figures in the Captain America set. I thought there were only going to be two? I'll probably get the Captain America set, and perhaps the Helicarrier set. Quote
K-Nut Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 It says there are three mini-figures in the Captain America set. I thought there were only going to be two? From the description, it sounds like we'll get a commander and a soldier, probably aliens. But I see no sign of Nick Fury. Quote
halomaster96 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I really like all of these sets even though there obviously not finished. Also I'm happy to know that some of the set have more then they show. Quote
phanstasm Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) Happy Toy Fair! http://www.actionfigureinsider.com/main/ -These guys update their site's main page with images during the show. After the show, they group them in one area. During the show (12-15th) use the main page. Scroll down to see TF images (got the X-men set one from here). Starting tonight, when you hit the bottom of the main page, be sure to click the link "Next Page" so you don't miss any new images (right now it's still too early in the show, so you won't need to). MOD: It does say confidential on the box, but these are from the NY Toy Fair. So, I think it's okay to post the image right? If not, feel free to delete the image. K-Nut Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Must have!!! Deadpool might be my favorite figure from this line. Quote
AvengeLEGOs Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 So they show art for the Helicarrier and Jeep sets, but not the other two, because they're still keeping the aliens secret I think there will be a whole second vehicle in the Quinjet set Quote
phanstasm Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 For those who want more X-Men sets, I think we just got a teaser. Look at the box art in the image bellow. The drawing of the Wolverine minifigure is wearing a different outfit than the one in the set. It's not official, and the final box art might change to match the included figure, but still cool to hope! Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I think I'll try to get the Helicarrier set, it looks like a good expansion pack for the Batcave. I'll probably BrickLink Black Widow and that'll be all. I was thinking about getting the X-men set, but it doesn't look too good I don't think. Quote
lockdownTF Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I was expecting a sentinel set when I saw the first image. also a blackbird set would be nice with cyclops and storm Quote
JackJonespaw Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Ugh, those figures are awful. They looks unfinished. I really hope that they make them way better. Quote
Cammo Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Anyone noticed that The Riddler has a GREEN BOWLERHAT in the updated version of the dynamic duo escape set. Still hoping for an Benelux-release :) Source Quote

K-Nut Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 That's also a pretty good Chopper in the Wolverine set. Probably my favorite of the new Marvel sets. Quote
vexorian Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 That's a great ship. More reason for TLG to dump SW and move on with new licenses. SW has gotten into status quo mode and there is no room to make new stuff. Whilst super heroes really looks innovative now in comparison. Quote
Cammo Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Benelux? Benelux is an official abbreviation of 'Belgium - The Netherlands - Luxembourg'. ;) Quote
Lyichir Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 That's a great ship. More reason for TLG to dump SW and move on with new licenses. SW has gotten into status quo mode and there is no room to make new stuff. Whilst super heroes really looks innovative now in comparison. I don't see how you can say that. This year's Star Wars sets (X-Wing, TIE Fighter, Gungan Sub, Jabba's Palace) tend to blow their previous versions out of the water. I'm fine with any license continuing if the sets continue to improve. But on the topic of these Superheroes sets, I'm quite impressed. That Deadpool is amazing. Quote

Still hoping for an Benelux-release :) Source Good eye! I did some more digging. Not only is it a different color hat. The whole torso is a different print! Lots of little question marks, the large one in the center is now purple instead of black, and the question mark belt buckle is gone. Another difference: the hands aren't the same color. Pics for comparison: Edited February 12, 2012 by phanstasm Quote
