BrickBob Studpants Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) I wonder if lego have made a new face print for the Magneto figure or if it is the Gandalf head without beard They're definitely going to have different face prints Gandalf: Magneto: Edit: Too late Edited February 17, 2012 by Lego-Freak Quote

Because if not, they are slightly different, at least with expressions. Now that I look at it closer though, the eyebrows seem different too, but I can only just see Magneto's. Edit: I took too long to post.... :P Edited February 17, 2012 by Superficial Username Quote
surrideo Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Thanks for all the links So Gandalf is "Tired" and tidier eyebrowed Magneto Seriously Sir Ian should sue! Quote
Clone OPatra Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 So Gandalf is "Tired" and tidier eyebrowed Magneto Seriously Sir Ian should sue! I think Magneto looks much more Ian McKellen than the Gandalf face, and Magneto isn't necessarily based on his likeness! Quote
surrideo Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I think Magneto looks much more Ian McKellen than the Gandalf face, and Magneto isn't necessarily based on his likeness! As I said earlier I knew it was comic canon derived. To be honest I wondered what "age" of Magneto they would go for as I know that the X men comics "jump" about their timelines a bit to when Magneto wasn't quite as disenchanted with politics, non-mutants etc. Wolverine will always look the same way. I hope the other x men and villains are released next year, characters like Juggernaut could use the Hulk mold. Back to an earlier point about Loki being in 3 out of the four sets, would the black hair that Bruce Wayne has in the batcave set be the best fit for him? Quote

I think so, shame the hair is hard to obtain without heving to pay too much at the moment. it fits "Thor" loki more than "avengers" loki, but its best we got. Quote

Just give him Dracos and say he has dyed it. I have the Batcave, is that the only set it has appeared in? Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Just give him Dracos and say he has dyed it. I have the Batcave, is that the only set it has appeared in? I think I saw it on an upcoming Star Wars minifigure. But yeah, currently that is exclusive to the Batcave in black. Quote

surrideo Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I do hope that the sets that have multiples of characters maybe have slights variations eg Thor and Loki with hair in one set, helmets in another but probably further down the line Quote

That is a point, that would be mean to kids if it were only in the quinjet for example. Been reverse engineering the pick up set tonight with my kids in black/red of all colours. A lot of fun, but I need the hawkeye figure to look better in final form to tempt me Quote
LEGOman273 Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Oh yes its in the old republis set on the clone-like guy. Jace Malcom. Quote

I thought of a solution for that; Hair of the viking lady could be very fit with Thor in my opinion, what do you think? Quote

SoupOrFishOil Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 AI found a few photos and glimpses of those Skrull-alien-whatever things (NOT LEGO): -Sci Doesn't look like they have purple hands to me. But seriously, this is strange to me, LEGO's colors are very different (I know they are preliminary, but just seems strange). Should be interesting how this turns out. The General and the soldier's hand color was one of the few reasons I had for buying that set. I'm sure that no matter what they'll be interesting minifigures though. Quote

And the toys arn't said to be from the enemy movie But obv the screenshot from the trailer is real.. but its been known about since superbowl. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 (edited) Alright Lobot from Star Wars has printing on the side of his head to depict that machine thing. There should be NO reason why Captain America shouldn't have his wings!!! And Nick Fury would have to have printing depicting the eyepatch band around his head. That's if they do Jackson's Fury( he was listed with the comic based X-Men) or if they do him at all. Edited February 19, 2012 by Neville longbottem Quote

Legoroni Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 A few pages back, there was mention of an alternate version of the Riddler. Do we know what it's for? Quote
DJ Bricks Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 A few pages back, there was mention of an alternate version of the Riddler. Do we know what it's for? It's the prototype for the one we have in the set. And the torso and hat color a better than than the one we have. Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 It's the prototype for the one we have in the set. And the torso and hat color a better than than the one we have. I wish that we had a mix of the two, a green bowler had, but with a question mark, and a torso like the one we have, just not as muscular and with a large purple question mark (rather than black, both like the prototype). With purple hands, the current face, a "?" cane, and I think that would be the perfect Riddler. But of course, that's just my opinion. Quote
