stayunspoiled Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Well they arn't skrulls, I'm looking at the image off my iPhone can any one tell the name of the villain off the quinjet box art? Quote
Poison Ivy Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Well they arn't skrulls, I'm looking at the image off my iPhone can any one tell the name of the villain off the quinjet box art? All I can make out is a three-letter word and a seven-letter word, can't tell what the letters are though. Quote
Zarkan Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 (edited) Ugh, they're seriously charging $15 for that Captain America set? I know, TRU always overcharges things, but I'll not be suprised at all if the regular price is only a couple bucks less. I guess TLC thought the motorcycle set in the DC line needed an equally overpriced counterpart in the Marvel line. Also, it's already been mentioned, but where the Skrull is Nick Fury? He was in the initial presse release way back last year, but these are almost certainly the final versions of the sets. I guess TLC thinks any character that doesn't get into major fisticuffs doesn't deserve an official minifigure, regardless of how crucial a role he may have in the movie. deskp Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 (edited) Hang on... Is loki using a face from bruce wayne? looks similar. I really hope its a new one. the eyebrows really doesent fit. + Thanks for link to images no new staff piece for Loki is disapointing. Edited February 24, 2012 by deskp Quote
CM4Sci Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Ugh, they're seriously charging $15 for that Captain America set? Also, it's already been mentioned, but where the Skrull is Nick Fury? They're charging $20 for the Catwoman set. Also, that Skrull joke was too funny, As for the sets, I might only pick up Loki's 1x1 Transparent Brick Escape, only one that looks interesting to me. I love how they used the PQ staff and Ninjago Sai. I also might pick up the Hulk set, for Hulk (of course) and Thor. Overall, I give these sets a 8/10! -Sci Quote
BigHobbit Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Definitely getting the Hulk's Hellicarrier Breakout and Captain America's Avenging Cycle. I might hold off on the Quinjet though, and just get Black Widow and Iron Man off Bricklink. Really want to see pics of the Spider-man set now... Quote
Oky Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Haha, I love how Wolverine shows us what he thinks of flick-fire missiles! Magneto seems to indeed have an angry face, as does Thor, and Hawkeye has a goggle-face! So, I'm guessing the Spidey set isn't a TRU exclusive? The lack of Fury is indeed quite puzzling... Well they arn't skrulls, I'm looking at the image off my iPhone can any one tell the name of the villain off the quinjet box art? No, but I can tell you from the set description. They simply call them "foot soldier". Quote
prateek Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Wow, these are great. Now I'm stuck whether to get Lex's Power Suit or the Wolverine set... Ugh, they're seriously charging $15 for that Captain America set? I know, TRU always overcharges things, but I'll not be suprised at all if the regular price is only a couple bucks less. I guess TLC thought the motorcycle set in the DC line needed an equally overpriced counterpart in the Marvel line. I'm sure it will be the same price as the Catwoman set. Quote
______ Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 (edited) I like the aliens, they remind me of the aliens from the classic UFO sets :D As for figures, I am really happy with Loki now, I thought there was something needed, turns out it was a cape! I am going to have to get the Wolverine helicopter battle, just for the figures! Really liking Iron-Man too, I think it's a faithful representation of him, hopefully we'll be seeing war machine as well soon! EDIT: They don't look like Skrulls, unfortunately Edited February 24, 2012 by halfpenguinhalflego Quote
deskp Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Hang on, if Loki is using bruc waynes face, its one sided. Eeee terrible, and if you put the bruce wayne hair on him they'd be identical.. seeing as its the hair that fits loki best. dang it. Quote
JackJonespaw Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 I must say, Hawkeye looks a thousand times better than the Toy Fair pics. That Malfoy hair? Great! Quote
Brickity Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 (edited) Since the Spidey set is 70 dollars, it MUST have an MJ minifig We need a hairpiece like this one! Edited February 24, 2012 by Otherworld Quote
Piranha Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Toys R Us has pictures of the new sets! http://www.toysrus.c...ll&kw=lego&pg=1 Thanks! All the pictures look great. Not a fan of the "aliens". Quote
brickswindler Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 (edited) Arrggh, they left out Nick Fury. I can't believe this. The biggest three Avengers sets have too many minifigures in common. What can you do with three Loki's? and the aliens don't look as nice as I thought they would be. Edited February 24, 2012 by brickswindler Quote
Vindicare Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Oh my! I'll definitely be buying Wolverines set the second I see it. I now see why they didn't give him his mask, clever LEGO. Still not big on his claws. I like the look, but the execution is meh. They should've stuck the blades on blue boxer gloves. The rest look good as well. Still not too sure about Mr. Stark...I love how the front flips up though, just the size looks a bit large. We'll see how it looks in my hands. I like the trans blue bits for propulsion. The Captain set looks a bit lacking, but must have Cap. Looks like Loki found the cloning machine at LEGO. Overall, well done. Quote
just2good Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 (edited) I now like the Avenging Cycle set. I'm going to pick it up for Captain America and the villains, which look interesting. So, here are the Marvel sets from my favorite to least favorite: 1) Wolverine Chopper Showdown 2) Captain America's Avenging Cycle 3) Hulk Helicarrier Breakout 4) Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape 5) Quinjet Ariel Battle I can't wait to see the Spiderman set! Edited February 25, 2012 by just2good Quote
nuparu51 Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 I'm not sure how I feel about these. Personally, I liked the Toy Fair Hawkeye better than this one, so i'll probably skip on him. The only must buy for me is the Wolverine set. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 I think Nick Fury will come in the Spidey set and be based on the Jackson comic version. Quote
Mr_Malfoy Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 If you look carefully at the box pic of the Quinjet, in the cockpit behind the front cockpit, you'll see a minifigure that looks dark-skinned... Quote
deskp Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 If you look carefully at the box pic of the Quinjet, in the cockpit behind the front cockpit, you'll see a minifigure that looks dark-skinned... Nope, its just glares and stuff, If Fury was in there he'd be on the minifig index. Btw fury was mentioned as part of the x-men if im not mistaken.. Quote
djmangunz Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Since the Spidey set is 70 dollars, it MUST have an MJ minifig Sorry, where did you find out the information that the Spiderman set would be $70? Everywhere I look points to it being the same size and price as the Funhouse/Joker's hideout. Quote

Ceroknight Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Sweet pictures! Getting used to Iron man now, the aliens are alright, if the heads were a new mold, it would have raised up the price. Thor is like the black costume Batman, it the big sets Quote

YangHao6998 Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Maybe nick fury is in a surprise set? like the funhouse set? Quote
