surrideo Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 I don't. Think Black Widow look like her Avengers costume , it lacks the red hourglass! It looks like her suit from IM2! And I do think Fury is in the Spidey set, the question is which version of him? Classic or Jackson? Hope for classic and then I'll personally send you a Mace Windu head and black sharpie to get both versions. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Hope for classic and then I'll personally send you a Mace Windu head and black sharpie to get both versions. Now that I think about it, he'll probably be the Jackson version, because that's who kids will recognize! Quote
legomonk Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 I am only sorta excited about these sets. I was never a huge comic guy. Dabbled a bit but never really liked them a ton. some of the pieces on the other hand are pretty cool. Loki's helmet is awesome looking. Very cool, and will look awesome in a fantasy style MOC. I know for sure I will be picking up the 20$ and under set for pieces plus they all seem to come with great figs. only wish I could get my hands on a Thor and Hulk with out buying one of the bigger sets. will certainly buy: 6866 Wolverine Chopper Showdown - great figs and a good price 6865 Cpm America Avenging Cycle - again a nice price plus figs 6867 Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape - awesome parts and figs looking forward to that new bow Quote
Piranha Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Do we know if these marvel sets are out in April or May? I suppose logic would dicate an April release to put it between both the DC waves, but i've just booked a stay at the LEGOLAND hotel Windsor for mid May and if those marvel sets are there my eldest boy is going to perform open-wallet surgery on me!! I had read April 10th was the release date awhile back. Not sure if that is confirmed though. I can't say these are good sets but i really want Wolverine minifig and of course the ultimate HULK figure! Can you guess what will approximately be the price for a single Hulk on Bricklink when these sets become available? I think it will reach the half price of the set his is in!...like 20-25 euro! I think Hulk will probably be about $10-$20. Quote
wesker Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Maybe a dark red version of the barbarella/space girl may have worked a bit better than the piece they have chosen(Again long). The character itself isn't worth/doesn't need a new mold it seems, neither is Thor. I am surprised at that considering it is such a big licence. Thor doesn't need one though. The piece he uses was specifically made for the Prince of Persia line and when you compare the real life Thor and Dastan (and Aragorn and Boromir) there really isn't much difference in their hairstyles to warrent a new mold. Quote
Vindicare Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 The piece Lego have picked is probably the best of what's around and it's a decent fit tbh. The hair suggested as being better just screams male to me due to it being in the PoP sets and the scientist from ADU HQ. Don't forget Snape. I think more men than women have that do in LEGOland. Does Thor have it, or was it just a stand in? Quote
Clone OPatra Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Does Thor have it, or was it just a stand in? Thor has it. Does anyone else find it amusing that Wolverine is portrayed as an AFOL, chopping a flick-fire in half and whatnot? It's also so strange that the Wolverine set's art seems to be mimicking the scene in which Logan launches himself at a helicopter in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but of course with comic-styled figures and Magneto thrown in. What a mish-mash (but a good one; that set is awesome). Quote
DJ Bricks Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 (edited) I wonder if Black Widow will have her red hourglass belt? And I think they did Wolverine's set that way on purpose! Edited February 28, 2012 by Neville longbottem Quote
JurassicBrick Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 I think they did Wolverine's set that way on purpose! I agree! I guessing the Spider-man set will be similar. It might even be a lot like this set. That also might be a good reason for Lego to include Nick Fury in the Spider-Man set, because Fury wasn't in any of the Spider-Man movies, his presence in the Lego set would make it clear the set is based on the comics, just like Magneto in the Wolverine set makes it clear that this not from the Wolverine movie, even though to the average kid, it totally is. Vindice Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Now that I think about it, he'll probably be the Jackson version, because that's who kids will recognize! Don't forget that David Hasselhoff also played him!! Quote

You know the name is Spider-man's Doc Ock Ambush. They're probably playing on the word "dock". Quote

If these sets are due out early April surely someone must let slip a picture of this set soon? Was it two weeks before that The Funhouse pics surfaced? Quote

purpleparadox Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 I'm sorry if this was discussed earlier in this topic, but is there any rumours about a new Nightwing minifig in a new set? I was considering buying one online (and changing his hair) but I'm not going to do that if a new one's coming out. Quote

purpleparadox Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Not yet, but I would hold out paying mega bucks for an old one as I'd put good money on Nightwing being released next year Thanks. I was kinda hesitant about spending that much on a single minifig. I'll wait and see what next year brings and hope there's a Nightwing! Quote
DJ Bricks Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 The Funhouse pics didn't surface until it went on preorder at LEGO.com. Basically, if the sets come out April 10th, we won't see pictures til the end of March. Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Basically, if the sets come out April 10th, we won't see pictures til the end of March. I'd say mid March, the DC sets were up for preorder around December 10th, if I remember right. On another note, can anybody tell what color Black Widow's hair is? It looks dark orange (burnt orange) to me. Quote
Oky Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I'd say mid March, the DC sets were up for preorder around December 10th, if I remember right. DC = DeCember Marvel = March Makes sense. On another note, can anybody tell what color Black Widow's hair is? It looks dark orange (burnt orange) to me. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Kinda wish it were dark red to be more in line with the comics, but oh well. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Kinda wish it were dark red to be more in line with the comics, but oh well. Honestly, it makes sense. Avengers Black Widow and Obi-Wan Kenobi clearly have the same color of hair. I don't see the problem. Quote
Oky Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I know, I know. It's just that I'm not a huge fan of her movie version. It's not a problem, just a personal preference. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Kinda wish it were dark red to be more in line with the comics, but oh well. That's it though, her hair is dark red in the movie too! It doesn't look like she has the red hourglass belt on her torso! Quote
Brickity Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 (edited) If the Spiderman set is the equivalent to the fun house, maybe the set will have more than just 3 minifigs! (Nick, Spidey and Doc Ock) Can anyone guess who they will be? Edited February 29, 2012 by Otherworld Quote
prateek Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I'm going to guess Doc Ock, Spiderman, Mary Jane, and Harry. I don't know about Nick Fury, since he has nothing to do with that scene. At least Magneto makes sense in the Wolverine set, since he's the main villain, but Nick Fury is just another random when it comes to the Spiderman series. Quote
