GuntherThePenguin Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Pleaee correct if I'm mistaken, but did Amazon list that the videogame came out in June? And thank you for the heads up,' Clone Commander'. Quote
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 I'd be so happy if the exclusive fig was the same as the Comic-Con Batman... Alas, I'm not letting my hopes up. Quote

just2good Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 For those who are interested : Lego Batman: The Visual Dictionary I haven't heard about that one yet. I can't wait to see the exclusive minifigure that comes with it! Quote

Ceroknight Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 ~Who could it be? This animal that I can see~ Zaboomafoo It's always exciting to hear news of new exclusive minifigures Quote
Big T Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 I'm not sure if it means anything I'm unsure how they do the pre-release pics for books like this), but the shadow of the figure on the book is shaped like a regular minifig, it doesn't have the Batman cowl shape. May just be for the initial photo though. It'd be cool if it was a new Alfred minifig, since we didn't get him in the Batcave, but I'm sure whatever it is it'll be a pretty cool figure. Preferably some kind of unique attire if it's Batman (Dark Knight Returns style haha?) Quote
Miss Kyle Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Aaah, damn you, DK! I wonder if there's enough material for an entire book at all... we'll see. Can't wait, it will be an awesome reward after my exams :) Quote

This is really early preliminary design of the book cover, nd the final version might be different. About the minifig, Alfred would be a smert pick, as he was missed from the Batcave set. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Personally, I hope the exclusive figure is one of these: Sorry! But in all likely hood it will be a variant of Batman. Look at the previous dictionary-figures. Ceremonial Luke, Ceremonial Han, and Yule Ball Harry. All variants of a Main Character, and I'll doubt we'll see any change here. Quote
surrideo Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Let's keep this discussion thread for the sets. Keep the video game discussion to Culture and Multimedia, please. Walking the line here...... but reading that the game has Batman with Superman,Robin,Wonder woman and Green Lantern alongside and I've just been into Game in Glasgow and they say there is to be a pre order bonus for the game. Hoping this may be the "missing" green lantern minifigure since all the other characters have turned up in the sets. Can but hope..... Quote

I'd take a red Batman, that's pretty funny. But yeah, thats probably about as close as they can get to a celebration Batman. Quote
surrideo Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Stumbled across this on my lunch hour, far too lazy to put up all the images in post. Nice new pics of the Avengers and Wolverine sets Enjoy The Iron man helmet looks similar in bulk and size to the Batman cowl here, very nice imo Quote

I agree, Iron Man looks great. I still think Hulk is probably my favorite--love that new, bulky mold. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 (edited) Here's the minifig close ups: YES! And Rainbow Batman would be awesome! Edited March 6, 2012 by CorneliusMurdock Quote

Very clearly two suits for Iron Man, and Hawkeye has a double-sided head (and I'm guess most of the other figs do as well, excepting Cap). Quote
Clone OPatra Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 I'm pretty happy with these, besides for Black Widow. The colors may be off because it's a rendering, but now it looks like her hair is just some shade of brown. Hopefully it is at least still dark orange. But more than that, I really don't like the face; it doesn't bring the movie version of her to mind at all. That does not remind me of Scarlett Johansen in any way. I also find Thor to be a fairly uninteresting minifigure. I guess it fits the movie, but he just seems pretty plain. Quote

I also find Thor to be a fairly uninteresting minifigure. I guess it fits the movie, but he just seems pretty plain. I have to agree with you about Black Widow, at least for the face. When did Selina Kyle join the Avengers? Wrong comic book universe, Lego. I have to say that I disagree with you on Hawkeye and Thor, though. I find Hawkeye boring. The face and torso are unexciting to me. While Thor, on the other hand, looks at least decent but I do wish his armor was better detailed. Do the set pictures now confirmed that the Tony Stark head is just a somewhat changed Jack Sparrow head? Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Most of the figures look pretty good, but I'm still only looking at getting the Hulk set. It seems to have the most useful figure parts. I guess that Loki does have Bruce Wayne's face, which is pretty disappointing. If we're lucky they'll at least make it double sided this time. Black Widow does look strange to me too. I really wish they left off the cheek bones. Quote
Oky Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Thanks for those pics. Iron Man doesn't look so bad when looking from the front, but still not as good as with a printed minifig head. Tony's face underneath looks good, although I'm curious to see how the other side of his head looks. I gotta agree that Loki's and Widow's faces are disappointing as they look like Bruce Wayne / Hermione clones. Oh well, I'm still very satisfied overall and can't wait to "collect them all"! But still no Spidey?! That Webhead sure is elusive... Personally, I hope the exclusive figure is one of these: RAINBOW BATMAN! Sorry! But in all likely hood it will be a variant of Batman. Look at the previous dictionary-figures. Ceremonial Luke, Ceremonial Han, and Yule Ball Harry. All variants of a Main Character, and I'll doubt we'll see any change here. Hehe. While I doubt that it will be Rainbow Batman, I agree that there is no Mr. Freeze's chance in hell that it will be anything but some version of Batman. Personally, I would love a battle damaged Batman with a torn suit and possibly blood on his mouth, but I guess there's no way that would ever happen either. My bet is on a TDK® variant. Quote
