surrideo Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Yeah I stopped short at just Captain America, Loki cosmic cube and wolverine. The bigger sets have magnificent figs but the sets themselves dont appeal so my avengers will only be half full for a while till prices fall Quote
Clone gunner comander jedi Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Better pictures of the comic con exclusive minifigures: Captain America: Iron Man: Quote
surrideo Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Beautifully designed figs, but alas I'll never own them unless the Iron man(or a similar design) makes a second(or future) wave of sets. Can't see the Captain America one being used again though, he has already been short changed in the Avengers sets Quote
MightyMegs Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Looking up some TDKR images I found this from Mattel......perhaps Lego has one like it eh ? What the... that doesn't look like anything... what is it? Quote
GuntherThePenguin Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 What the... that doesn't look like anything... what is it? That is the Nolan version of the Bat-Jet, as seen in TDKR trailer. Quote
Masked Builder Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 For those of you wondering when the Avengers come out in the US, I asked one of the LEGO store workers when they come in and they said April 8! I can't wait! Quote

I can't wait! Sweet! That means we won't see Spidey set pics til the week before!!! Which means the site should be up sometime in the coming weeks!!!!! Quote
SpiderSpaceman Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 much much better pictures of the toyfair figs than the obnoxious review website's Quote
JackJonespaw Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Is it just me, or does the sets with Hawkeye make him out as a bad guy? Driving Loki away and shooting at Hulk in the plane. Maybe it's just my sensitivity about Hawkeye. Quote

Maybe it's just my sensitivity about Hawkeye. Funny you should bring that up! My little brother (fairly knowledgeable about comics, but more DC than Marvel) and I were looking at the new Marvel sets on S@H, and he said "I thought Hawkeye was a good guy." I have to say, they do kinda make him out as a bad guy. Quote

I have to say, they do kinda make him out as a bad guy. I think they put him in both vehicles just because they needed someone driving, and he was the only one fit for the vehicles. If you watch the trailers, he's one of the six main Avengers with Cap, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and Iron Man. Quote

LEGOman273 Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 According the movie novelization , Loki is using his mind control powers on Hawkeye!!!!! Yes, that's what I heard. Quote
surrideo Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 ,FFS guys, can we avoid spoilers? Not a huge spoiler as the set already shows Hawkeye driving the pick up and Iron Man flying after in pursuit with Loki in the back. Loki is either using mind control on Hawkeye or telekinetic powers on the steering wheel and Hawkeye just happened to be in the truck at the time. Your choice? The set description on Lego already states that they are fleeing SHIELD HQ. Quote
ReZourceman Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 It could have been for any number of reasons....Hulk could have escaped and risked killing Loki when they need him alive for X reason, he could have blackmailed Hawkeye, etc etc etc. Anyway, I don't want to get into an argument - you are right, it isn't a big spoiler at all, but I have been avoiding all trailers and all information on the film (bar the LEGO sets of course), so I didn't want to know anything. All story talk and confirmation that comes from the novel and such belongs in spoiler tags. Quote

You are right and tbh all movie talk and the like will get shifted by the regulator/moderator if it springs up here. The sets reveal pretty much absolutely nothing and I wonder if maybe the Avengers may get a couple of sets in the next Marvel wave for spoilers that couldn't be revealed and major plot points, then again maybe not. Keep on looking at the Quinjet and Heli carrier and so much money needs to drop off them before I'll consider it, hoping the Spideman set gets a reveal soon and hopefully it appears next month too. CorneliusMurdock Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 You are right and tbh all movie talk and the like will get shifted by the regulator/moderator if it springs up here. I don't really think it's my or the mod's job to make sure that there are no spoilers. If something is said that is especially revealing, I might consider editing the post as a courtesy but it's really up to all of you to be considerate enough to not spoil things for everyone. So I'd like to urge everyone to not post spoilers because there are people who would like to be surprised when they watch the movie. Heck, I've been looking forward to Avengers for a few years now so I'd include myself in there, too. If you think that a certain plot point would give some enlightenment about a set, post it in the spoiler tags but I'd rather if that happened almost never. If you really need to talk about spoilery things, go chat it up on an Avengers fansite somewhere or keep it in the movie discussion in Culture and Multimedia. Now back on topic. I really hope shop at home puts these up for preorder in the US soon. I want the double VIP points. Quote

I perhaps should have been more specific, but I never want to mini mod, basically if it isn't about the sets you'll appear like the shopkeeper in Mr Benn and tell us to stop. Sets don't have spoilers so I didn't think I was saying you should be responsible. The only thread in the whole of Eurobricks that should have spoilers tags when talking about a Lego theme is the Ninjago one as it is a complete multimedia experience and not just about the sets. I find it so strange how they roll out the preorder here for double VIP and free shipping and I don't have to pay for it for a couple weeks and the US where the line will make all its money and the box office is so far getting the rough end. Two days to go for you...... Keep searching for the microsite as I really want to see the spiderman fig Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 I wasn't saying you were mini-modding, I just thought it was a good opportunity to get the spoiler policy out there. I shouldn't have to rule the forum with an iron fist. (As cool as that might be.) For the most part, you guys should be able to just converse. I'm just here to help and keep things civil. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Keep searching for the microsite as I really want to see the spiderman fig I know!!!! I want to see Spidey, Doc, and Fury!!!!! Quote
LEGOman273 Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 The site (superheros.lego.com) is down right now. Likely being updated, so. . . Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Hm. I thought Loki hitched a un-welcomed ride Non the less, I still will get the set. I quite look foreward to my dream sets! Quote
Dadster Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Hmmm....thought the double VIP was only good until tom (15th)... Cannot wait either way for the Avengers stuff! Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Hmmm....thought the double VIP was only good until tom (15th)... Cannot wait either way for the Avengers stuff! It is. So the US shop at home had better put these up for preorder ASAP. It'll suck if they wait until after the double VIP points offer is gone. I'll probably still order some because of the free shipping but double points would be more awesome. Quote
