BigHobbit Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 The Avengers at a guess, but its a stretch that a lego fig will come with the dvd/bluray. Be very cool though Sorry, yes, I meant when Avengers comes out on DVD. I remember when Walmart included a Young Han Solo minifig with a Star Wars TV Lego DVD special (although I admit, that DVD was Lego related, whereas my theory involves the regular Avengers movie). Again, it was just a guess. Only time will tell when and where Nick Fury will pop up. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Clone gunner comander jedi, now that someone has started a thread in the Culture and Multimedia forum about the game let's keep the discussion of the game there from now on. Thanks. Sadly, still no sign of the Marvel sets for the US S@H. Still a few hours left for double VIP points but it's not looking hopeful. Quote

1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 A good pic of the iron man minifigure: Thanks for the pic! Hmmm, I'm not too sure what to think of this Iron Man. I am happy though that the hands' color does match the body, unlike some previous pics that were shown. I'd really hate it if the beard does indeed show behind the figure. That's something I don't like about double-sided heads. Overall I would say that I like the colors, but I would need to see better the fig to see if I like the proportions. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 (edited) And I know some will wonder where Nick Fury is at on the microsite...I'm really starting to think he'll be a pack-in with an exclusive version of the DVD in November or whenever the movie is released. That's 100% a guess, though. Well, the foot soldier, general, black widow,Hawkeye, Spidey, and Doc dont appear so I dont believe it's complete! It looks as though Loki and Iron Man are supposed to have backprinting but it accidentally wiped out! I don't get what the falling minifigure is supposed be? Defense or something? surrideo Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Agility is the one running with lines behind it. I'd suggest speed for that one Quote
Oky Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 The microsite is up, but still no Spider-man hints. Cool! (Not the lack of Spidey & Friends, but the look of the teaser site) I hope they'll have a wallpaper like this! The Avengers at a guess, but its a stretch that a lego fig will come with the dvd/bluray. Be very cool though Well, they could couple it with a polybag like they did for POTC and the Mini Black Pearl, but it's still a stretch. I'm gonna have to go with the theory that he's in the Spidey set, but we'll see. Sadly, still no sign of the Marvel sets for the US S@H. Still a few hours left for double VIP points but it's not looking hopeful. Indeed. I bet they will go up for pre-order right after the promotion. It looks as though Loki and Iron Man are supposed to have backprinting but it accidentally wiped out! Yeah, Iron Man's texture map seems damaged somehow, but I don't see anything on Loki's back, and I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't have any back printing since he wears a cape. Same with Magneto, but I hope I'm wrong. Agility is the one running with lines behind it. No, that's Speed. The minifig isn't falling, it's making a handstand. Quote

Piranha Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 The microsite is up, but still no Spider-man hints. My link Cool, I am not sure what some of the stats mean, I know these (?): - Intelligence - Strength - Speed (?) - No Idea - No Idea Sadly, still no sign of the Marvel sets for the US S@H. Still a few hours left for double VIP points but it's not looking hopeful. I am not sure if this is correct but I did hear that the release date in the US is April 8th in stores and April 10th on LSAH. Quote
Oky Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 I believe the last one is supposed to be Combat Skills. By the way, I love how on a scale from 1-10, Hulk and Iron man score an 11 in strength and intelligence respectively. Quote

I forgot what powers Thor and Captain America have though. Quote
Oky Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 I forgot what powers Thor and Captain America have though. They both have super strength and invulnerability to some extent, but the Hulk exceeds them both in those qualities of course. Also, Thor can control storms, and Cap has excellent military training. They are both very good fighters, and I think they both have super senses too. Quote

I just noticed that Hawkeye has a new bow mold, previously I thought they were going to use the (Elf) Long Bow in black. Quote
Oky Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 I see, Thor can fly too right? I'm not sure if he can in the movieverse, but usually yes. Quote
Piranha Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 I'm not sure if he can in the movieverse, but usually yes. That is interesting. I was just taking a look at the scans of the DK Batman Visual Dictionary and I took a few things from it, it is listed as $21.99, it mentions that the Green Lantern might have his own sets or something like that and it includes an "Exclusive minifigure". Now I am not expecting the CC figs because "exclusive" usually means "new" and never done before by TLG (like in the SW visual dictionaries). Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 I'm not sure if he can in the movieverse, but usually yes. He was able to in his movie, just not during the time he had his powers taken away. I imagine that's why he's on the outside of the Quinjet in that set. Quote
Oky Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Yeah, you're probably right. Since he only had his powers for like 5 minutes (on Earth) in his movie, I couldn't remember if he could fly or not, but he certainly seems to be doing it in The Avengers. Thankfully, since this is Marvel, flight capability is not being counted as a major superpower. At least not on the microsite. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 I know this has been said before, but the latest Spidey tv show trailer has Nick Fury in it along withe Iron man and Cap, further enforceing the idea that Sam Jackson with an eyepatch is in the Spidey set!!!! Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 (edited) I can only hope that Fury looks like this custom from Christo. In fact, I wish all of his Avengers figs were the real ones, especially Black Widow. Edited March 16, 2012 by Darth Nihilus Quote

Cap is a human being in peak physical form - he has no real 'super powers'. He is not invulnerable and does not have enhanced senses. He's no stronger than the strongest human being, although it seems as if they have enhanced him a bit further in the films. Quote

That's what made me dislike them. Quote

He does have a bulletproof costume and extraordinary healing. He may not be considered super-human, just like Tony Stark, but their abilities are still better than any other human, so that makes them somewhat "super" in my book. After all, they call him a super soldier, don't they? And as you said, he is much more super in the movies. Quote
