Sam892 Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 I can see them changing up Superman's look for the movie sets just because they'll want to make him different from the already released one. Lego wants us to buy a new Superman and to do that they'll have to make him special. They will most likely change his face to look more like the actor in the film. They will also probably change the colour of his suit to a darker blue or sand blue depending on how he looks in the film. After seeing the Amazing Spiderman Megabloks they do have one thing that I wish LEGO did ( I know shocking right ). They have Spidey in every set but there not the same. Each there's normal Spidey, scuffed Spidey and full blown it's been a tough day Spidey. It would make a lot more of the Batman sets more appealing to me if some of the suits had damaged looks. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 On second thought.. if they don't release that much new stuff, then it would actually be better because then I could save some money for once! haha I know how you feel. Between LOTR and Super Heroes, I had to push all non-licensed sets out of my budget this year. I'm almost hoping that the next wave of DC only has one or two small sets I'll absolutely need. I'd like to be able to purchase the Kingdoms Joust eventually. Luckily the exclusives tend to stick around a while. There's only so much money my wife will let TLG have. Quote

I don't know where to find it right now, but Superman's costume is completely redesigned for the movie, so We'll get a completely new fig. :) Quote
tafkatb Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Here's what the Superman costume looks like in Man of Steel: It will probably be dark blue [Earth Blue] in LEGO form. I hope they print on boots, too, since the lack of red briefs would make the legs look very bare otherwise. Quote
sologuy369 Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 (edited) Here's what the Superman costume looks like in Man of Steel: *snip* It will probably be dark blue [Earth Blue] in LEGO form. Do you think the superman sets will be released in Jan 2013 like the DC sets this year or in May/ summer 2013 like the Avengers? And I don't see why they would make the same superman fig as before. That one looks like the Superman Returns one, especially will the curled hair on his forehead. Also, that one was a "promo" fig to get people hyped about the DC theme and whole superheros theme altogether. Edited June 11, 2012 by CorneliusMurdock Stop quoting pictures, please. Quote

DC is January, Marvel is May. Quote

CorneliusMurdock Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Here's what the Superman costume looks like in Man of Steel: Ew. I didn't need to see that much of Superman. They just paint it on or what? You're absolutely right about the printing of boots. The fig will look really dull without them. Too bad the darker color of this suit will prevent the legs from being switched into the current Superman fig. Quote
Iron-Man Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Which also means no switching with Spidey Maybe someday Spidey will earn a nice pair of printed boots. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Maybe someday Spidey will earn a nice pair of printed boots. Maybe he'll be able to afford boots if he saves up his Spidey Cents. (Sorry couldn't resist.) Quote

I think this version will make an interesting Superman Quote
Daimar Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 They're already making a reboot. I heard somewhere that a working name is Fantastic Four: Reborn. Thats a shame, I bet if Marvel did it, it would be waaaaaaaaaaay better. But, oh well. Lets wait and see. Quote
The_Box Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Has anyone posted this yet? {Picture of TRU ad for LEGO Superhero event on Saturday June 16 from 2pm until 4pm} I'm surprised no one has responded to this yet. Granted the models are a bit bland but its still a chance to get free Lego. Whats wrong with that? I'll be running the event at my TRU and will also have a few sets on display for people to see in person. Mainly Superheroes, Monster Fighters and LOTR. I know its a Batman and Superman build during the event but I don't think anyone will object to seeing how massive and amazing the vampire castle is once fully built. Quote

purpleparadox Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Has anyone posted this yet? Thanks! Is it at all TRU stores? If so, I might be going for a road trip! Free Lego is free Lego! Quote
just2good Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 (edited) Has anyone posted this yet? {pic} Pretty cool! I hope those shields come with a free baseplate (even if it's the new ones). But I'm going anyways. Edited June 11, 2012 by just2good Quote
The_Box Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Since the ad came in the flyer in the newspaper, I would assume it would be all TRUs but just to be safe do check TRU's website to see if the event is happening at a store near you. Quote

Not true, you could switch it with the Spider-man 2 Dark Blue Spidey! Quote
Sam892 Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 If they do make dark blue legs with dark red boot prints then I think they would be a perfect match for Captain America. Quote
LMB10 Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 (edited) If they do make dark blue legs with dark red boot prints then I think they would be a perfect match for Captain America. I agree. His legs look to plain in contrast with the top half of the suit. He could do with gloves too, but I understand lego probably wouldn't do gloves. Edited June 11, 2012 by LMB10 Quote
______ Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 I think it's a very important part of Cap's suit they missed out, I mean those red boots are iconic. The dark blue would also work really well for Spider-man. I suppose printing's a really big problem for LEGO with all these license themes? Quote
