purpleparadox Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Hi all! Just got the exclusive Lex figure, I'll be posting a review in about an hour! Quote
The Blue Brick Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Hi all! Just got the exclusive Lex figure, I'll be posting a review in about an hour! I can't wait. Also, if the new sets might be getting revealed at Comic-con, I might get to see them. Quote
Piranha Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 I highly doubt that LEGO will release an exclusive Comic-Con set - they've never done that before, only minifigure packs and other merchandise. They have actually done sets for Indiana Jones & Star Wars, some being exclusive, most being a mix mash of available sets repacked in a promo box. So getting a set would not be totally out of the question, but still unlikely. Quote
Vindicare Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 I can't wait. Also, if the new sets might be getting revealed at Comic-con, I might get to see them. Lucky! You're going to Comic-Con?! I have been wanting to go for years now, just never worked out. So much more so since being back into LEGO. Quote
Tauntaunwampa Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 (edited) There is a possibility that there will be one or two sets released for each of the movies under discussion (The Dark Knight Rises, Green Lanters, Man of Steel) So for example with the Dark Knight Rises, all the fans expect (in terms of minifigures) would be Batman, Bane Catwoman and perhaps another. So it would be a largish set consisting of most of the well known elements from the movies such as the Tumbler as well as the minifigures. There would not be room for smaller characters such as a policeman or a thug. We have already seen it with Spiderman as we have got spiderman himself, a main villain and another figure as well as a largish base. If i'm not expressing my point clearly enough i feel that rather than releasing themed waves (Comic Book Batman, The Avengers) We see more themed sets (One or to sets for each movie) being released in one wave. has a differing opinion Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 That's a great idea to use the microfigure for Ant-Man! I'm sure we'll see some Ant-Man sets if the movie from Edgar Wright ever sees release. Well, it seems likely, as Erik Selvig indirectly references ant man in thor. Quote
LMB10 Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Well, it seems likely, as Erik Selvig indirectly references ant man in thor. And the fact the head of Marvel Studios said it's closer than ever and Edgar Wright mentioned he'd like to film it this year. Quote

just2good Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Did anyone go to that Toys'R'Us DC Super Heroes building event yesterday? I totally forgot and I'm curious to here details from it... Quote
Zilcho Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Can someone post all the DC heroes together, the DC villains together and then again for Marvel? It would be nice to see the size of all the super armies and such for good and evil, DC and Marvel. Quote
Iron-Man Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 I smell a new line up of avengers for the sequel..... They already said they want to try to get Ant Man in it, as well as the Gurdians of the Galaxy is their movie does well. I personally wished they would skip Guardians and go with the Black Panther movie so we could get Ant Man, Black Panther, and potentially Wasp in LEGO form Plus down the line I would LOVE to see a Vision minifig! Quote
HawkLord Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Well, if Avengers 2 goes the way some people think, we might yet have a Vision minifigure. Personally, I'm not one for the Guardians of the Galaxy - but I like the Black Panther idea. As for Ant-Man, I think I'd just use a red or blue stud on a clear 1x1 round brick. Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 (edited) Did anyone go to that Toys'R'Us DC Super Heroes building event yesterday? I totally forgot and I'm curious to here details from it... Yep, I took my little brother to it, and we were both able to make the Superman and Batman shields. I was expecting more strict regulations, but the employees at my store were pretty cool about letting anyone who wanted to build both of them. Edited June 18, 2012 by The_Chosen_1 Quote

It could, but according to this article , Chris Even says how he has a 6 year contract, 3 Captain America and 3 Avengers movies. Quote
Sam892 Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 It could, but according to this article , Chris Even says how he has a 6 year contract, 3 Captain America and 3 Avengers movies. I saw in the news a few weeks back that Mark Ruffalo has signed on for another 6 films. Most likely 3 Hulk films and 3 Avengers films. However some of those films could be cameos, like maybe in a Antman/Giantman or Black Panther film. Also on IGN last week they said that Marvel are cancelling the current Avengers cartoon ( Earths Mightiest Heroes) after season two, and will be replacing it with an Avengers film to tie into the Current Cinematic Marvel Universe. The confirmed Characters are the same as the recent film but there also adding in Falcon. Since this is tied to the Movie and Future films does this mean (A) There maybe a Falcon film or cameo in a Film on the way (B) That LEGO will make sets around this as its based in the same Universe? Quote
Iron-Man Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Anything is possible I guess. Since LEGO is making a set for the Spider-Man cartoon I don't see why they wouldn't at least consider making sets based off of other Marvel cartoons. With all the movies Marvel has done and is going to do, I don't think TLG will be short on material to produce sets! Quote

Hes also got a contract to do another fantastic four...they jsut contract them incase they want sequels, it doesen't really mean much. Quote

The TV show isn't in the same universe, but will have a similar tone to the film, and will add Ant-Man, Black Pnather and Ms. Marvel eventually. Falcon is quite likley to appear in Captain America 2. into the blue Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Also, if the new sets might be getting revealed at Comic-con, I might get to see them. See you there. I'll be the one with the Welsh accent trying to elbow you out of the way. Quote
Piranha Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 After seeing the July 2012 LEGO Store Calender, there is no mention of a TDKR set anywhere. There is still a possibility for August, but if not, I doubt it happening this year. It could also be shown at the SDCC. Just have to wait and see I guess. Quote
just2good Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 (edited) Can't believe I'm linking to one their news videos, but TheBrickShow has received an email from TLG confirming 2013 Iron Man 3 sets... Edited June 19, 2012 by just2good Quote
King of Nynrah Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Can't believe I'm linking to one their news videos, but TheBrickShow has received an email from TLG confirming 2013 Iron Man 3 sets... The whole video is rather unprofessional but I guess it's a reliable source... Well, I guess this confirms what I already thought then. Hopefully we'll see sets for Thor 2 by the end of next year too. Quote
HawkLord Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Hes also got a contract to do another fantastic four...they jsut contract them incase they want sequels, it doesen't really mean much. FF is still owned by another company, so they really can't touch it at the moment. Right now, I'd think it would be way too confusing to audiences to have Evans play Cap and then go back to play Torch. Plus, he'd have to drop maybe 30lbs to get back to Torch build. Besides, I heard they were rebooting FF anyway. Quote
super curry max Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Anyone know if the Hawkeye polybag set will ever be released in the us? Im debating buying a set from sweden on bricklink but if it will eventually make it here ill hold off on that. Quote
