Vindicare Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 One word for those future minifigs: EXCELSIOR! It would most likely be an exclusive if ever made, but I think that Stan Lee should be immortalized in plastic as a minifig. On second thought, he makes so many cameos in these movies they could just make him as one of the citizens that a hero has to save. That would be gold TLG. GOLD! Please, LEGO. Please? Well, I think the big difference with Stan Lee is that his thing is to cameo in a bunch of these movies. Maybe TLG will imitate that with him making a cameo in a set or two. A longshot, I know, but it would be awesome if it happened. Where are the ambassadors? They need to mention this to someone with TLG. This is such a great idea! I would love to have the man himself in a set. He would be all too easy to put in a number of sets. He doesn't even need to make sense in a set. We all know TLG loves to throw in minifigs where they don't belong, so why not Stan Lee!? Quote
Pulp Detective Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 I was just hearing the LOTR soundtrack "Gandalf falls" and then I play the new superman "Man of Steal" teaser trailer and I hear the EXACT same soundtrack and l'm like O.O Quote

For teasers, movie makers usually use old soundtracks that they have rights too! Quote
Pulp Detective Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 That's happened before to me. For teasers, movie makers usually use old soundtracks that they have rights too! Well the soundtrack suits the trailer but they could use something new. Quote
sologuy369 Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Well the soundtrack suits the trailer but they could use something new. They do when the movie come out but they haven't finished the score yet. And it's just a small sneak peak. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Stay on topic, people. This is not the place for discussing soundtracks. Quote

I just got back from my local Lego store, and they had just put it on the shelves. Quote

He doesn't even need to make sense in a set. We all know TLG loves to throw in minifigs where they don't belong, so why not Stan Lee!? It would be one of his best cameos yet. I could totally see him in a Spidey set or a Fantastic Four set. In fact they should also throw in Bob Kane or Adam west into a Batman set as a civillian. It would be a cool little nod to the past which TLC do in other themes. Just look at the modular houses, the olympic minifigures and some of the direct sets to see some of the easter eggs they throw in. Quote
Gooker1 Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 I just got back from my local Lego store, and they had just put it on the shelves. Same here! It's on the shelves, so it's time to earn some VIP points! Quote
Shawn Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Need to get the spider man set. Wierd that this is a Walmart exclusive? Super Heroes Quote
prateek Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Sooo... the Lego Shop at Home says July 23 is when you can order the Spider-Man set, but my local LEGO store says they will start selling them on the 1st. Darn. I have a coupon for a in-store purchase for 10% off... ... but only until the end of the month. Some stores already have it on their shelves. Quote
stayunspoiled Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Something wired and exciting happened today... My Lex torso (polybag) was cracked when I opened it so I ordered the replacement part, no problem. The torso came 2-3 weeks ago great service But today I got another torso in the mail! I couldn't remember if I put the correct zip/postal code on the address so I emailed them to check (work address vs home address), I got no response so I figured I had done it correctly. Obviously I didn't and the Australian Post was on their game and now I have an extra torso :D If anyone wants to trade for it I would be more than happy to. Only chasing Killer Croc and classic Mr. Freeze though. Quote
Oky Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 High(er)-res image of Electro Suit Batman: LEGO SDCC 2012 Exclusive Limited Edition BATMAN Print. by LegoDad42, on Flickr Quote
Masked Builder Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 He does look pretty good, maybe I'll Bricklink him. We'll see. Quote
ticktockclock Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Whoa, love that electro-suit Batman. I'll be sure to rush out and grab the Visual Dictionary when it's released before all the figs are stolen out of the books. Quote
Sam892 Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 I like the Electro suit Batman and certainly am happy that the blue line was printed on the cowl like in the game. I'm disappointed that it's the new cowl as in the video game it's the old cowl they use. Quote
The Blue Brick Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 My lego store had the Spidey set too, and turned out I got the last one. I can't wait to build it now. Also, the Electro suit Batman is looking good. Quote
Drock Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 He does look pretty good, maybe I'll Bricklink him. We'll see. The fig might end up costing you half (or more) of the cost of the book. Just buy the book, man. ;) Quote
stayunspoiled Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 That electro suit is so cool. Can't wait to put him next to my demolition suit batman from the first game. Speaking of that how many different suits (from the video games) are able to be made from the parts from both batman series? Quote
Oky Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Speaking of that how many different suits (from the video games) are able to be made from the parts from both batman series? The only suit that I can think of that can be made with official parts is the "Bat Suit" using the upcoming black-winged Batman. All you have to do is switch out the hands and hips for purple ones and build his sonic gun. By the way, I think right now you can get a Bat-Jetski free with any $60 Lego purchase at TRU (US), but I'm not sure as their website contradicts itself. Quote
super curry max Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Anyone in the US know if the spidey set has shown up in any walmart stores yet? Quote
TheLegoJoker Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Nice shot of Electro Suit Batman. As was already mentioned, it's a nice touch that they added the printing to the cowl. Quote
