Pro_Ice Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I don't know if it's 'new' news but apparently Lego DC shorts will be part of Cartoon Network's DC Nation, coming next year. Trailer for DC Nation is here and it contains 2 fragments from LEGO Batman short. Quote

Omicron Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 (edited) I think Omi's point is that Harley as a character originates from a cartoon. Bingo. She was later put into comics after her appearance in the cartoon series. She was one of the few original characters in the cartoon. And even then, comics are cartoony too. :P -Omi Edited November 14, 2011 by Omicron Quote
GuntherThePenguin Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I do hope that we get a Man Bat with those wings! Also, I hope we get a Clayface and Mad-Hatter from the videogame. Quote
TheDarkBrick Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Maybe the Riddler and Harley will come in a store exclusive? Those are the sets we usually hear about last, like the the Dino 5888 Pteranodon Chase. Quote
tj19941994 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 That green and purple jetboat could easily be for riddler I wonder if that is the set he (and Harley, hopefully) will come in!!! Quote

If you look a tad closer it's actually just the new Batwing flying close to the water. Also, I'm wondering if the speedboat was just invented for the short like some of the vehicles in the last video game. It seems like a slightly random choice of second vehicle for Joker, but only time will tell. Quote
Oky Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 That green and purple jetboat could easily be for riddler I wonder if that is the set he (and Harley, hopefully) will come in!!! No, I can see a Joker logo on the front, and you can see Joker standing in the boat a bit later on in the commercial. If anything, this will be the set that Harley comes in, along with the Joker presumably. IF this is a real set, that is. Quote

Elderscroll Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I hope that they do some sets from the early comics. Quote
Miss Kyle Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 A Joker and Harley set would be awesome. The more sets, the better! Quote
tj19941994 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 (edited) How awesome would it be if the set we didn't know about was a Diagon Alley style exclusive! Maybe Arkham or something! Yes, I know it won't happen first wave... but still Edited November 15, 2011 by tj19941994 Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Look at Herleys torso. The way the light hits the very top of it makes it look like a piece of paper stuck onto her torso.... Maybe I'm wrong, I hope I am, but I can't help be reminded of the prelims of the marvel characters we saw at CC Considering that she's in production already, I doubt that it's a decal. I just think it's weird lighting. Quote
Sam892 Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 i hope in future sets that robin gets more of the lime light. he hasnt had much attention in the batman theme all he got was a jet ski and a tiny submarine. and in this series he has one appearance in the most expensive set like he was in 2006. they need to have some more sets of him against villians. like for example they could have robin on his bike against harely (sidekick vs sidekick) Quote
tj19941994 Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 I couldn't wait and just bought a Poison Ivy. Don't ask me how much it costed, but I'll be sure to post my opinion as soon as I get it Quote
Cutty Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 (edited) I love the possibility of a second chance at getting Harley Quinn (again just to incorporate her into Castle ). I really don't know why I deliberately shunned the set she came in as it wasn't that pricey to begin with. Getting her first iteration in Germany is kind of pointless as she sells for a price almost half of the original MSRP of the respective set, which I cannot percept as any other than a rip-off. So second fat chance for me once she shows up ^^ Finally a necro-jester for my misunderstood-kind-of-evil-skeleton-faction, yay! Be well all! Cutty Edited November 16, 2011 by Cutty Quote
Dadster Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 I was at a local TRU today and began chatting w/ a Lego Merchandise Rep about the Superheroes stuff coming out. He indicated to me that some of the DC sets (not Marvel at all...) could be out within a few weeks! He seemed pretty sure of himself and I'll be pleasantly surprised if they show before the holidays, but I'm also waiting until I see it to believe it... Cross your fingers! Quote
sharky Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 It'll probably be the Hero Factory type sets. Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 It'll probably be the Hero Factory type sets. I thought those were confirmed for May. Anyway, it would be great if the sets came out before Christmas, my nephew is really lovin' the pictures I've shown him of the Lex Luthor robot. He would love it if I got that set for him for Christmas. Quote
sok117 Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Thats Awesome! I can't wait for these to come out, but do we really need a separate topic for this? Quote

Anyway, it would be great if the sets came out before Christmas, my nephew is really lovin' the pictures I've shown him of the Lex Luthor robot. He would love it if I got that set for him for Christmas. at comic con back in the summer LEGO said that the DC comics wave would be released in January 2012 and that the Marvel comics wave would be released in May to coincide with the release of the Avengers film. there are also many rumours going round that in june/july LEGO will release a few batman sets based on The Dark Knight Rises film. however although LEGO have said that the superheroes theme will last for a few years they haven't released any information about when the 2nd wave of DC and Marvel will on sale however it will probably follow a pattern like winter DC spring Marvel summer DC fall Marvel. it was probably in the contract between all three companies that each company gets a seperate release so that they are not competing with each other. Dadster Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 ...but do we really need a separate topic for this? No - I suppose you're right. I realized too late about the 'rumor" part in another topic... Quote
Nightshroud99 Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 This is awesome and yet not awesome because too many new sets are coming out way too fast and not sticking to their schedules. Quote

VenVoi Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 While I'd be thrilled for a December release to be true, especially while all of these Legos deals will be going on, I'll believe it when I see it. I got a "we don't know when" response when I e-mailed Lego about a release date a few days ago.. Quote
