SoupOrFishOil Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 In the gallery for Riddler on the Brickipedia page there is a picture of the Riddlers plane. http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/The_Riddler Is this from the game? I only started it the other day and haven't seen it as of yet... Could it be from his unknown set? It's from the videogame. Quote
dr jones Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Yes, with Grogall's high res pics it seems clear that Batman doesn't have a cape in that set, which is really a shame. Maybe it's just that the packaging doesn't show it, but I feel that since Bats is pictures without a cape in the 1:1 picture on the top of the box, it won't be included. I don't see why LEGO would not include the cape in addition to the wings; it doesn't seem very fair. The wings are nice and all, but Bats should always have his cape. Indeed!, I agree! A Batman sans cape is like a FOL without Lego! Quote
deskp Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 The wings are a bit too much, but the new batmobile looks amesome otherwise. Quote
willybob Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Indeed!, I agree! A Batman sans cape is like a FOL without Lego! You can quote me : batman will have a cape in this set Quote
dr jones Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 You can quote me : batman will have a cape in this set what can I do if you're wrong? No, I sure hope he does! If not, Lego would have made a pretty big blunder. Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 My guess would be that a cape must be included, perhaps Bat's might tackle her on foot....throwing a Batarang into her front wheel ! Or knock the traffic light on her head, payback eh ? Thanks 'grogall' for the latest pictures....ouch my wallet, city sets, SW/CW battle packs and now this ! Bat-brick On everyone ! Quote
halomaster96 Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 I think these sets are getting better every time I see them, but why does Two-Face have to be orange and purple? I don't care if it is his classic look, it just looks awful. Quote
surrideo Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Merely my opinion, but I would be surprised if Lego and/or DC would allow a product out without the cape as it wouldn't portray the image of their intellectual property as the majority of fans/consumers perceive it. Quote
Cutty Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 I anticipate the new "batwings"-neckpiece like no other, but why of all possible colours does it have to be dark blue? It would be so much more useful in black! It even has some studs for attaching an obligatory demon's tail! I just hope it gets a release in black or pearl dark grey to make representing some sort of generic demonic character so much easier... Be well! Cutty Quote
Delta 38 Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 More images! The henchmen in the theme are great, it's nice that they're getting equal attention as the main characters themselves. The Joker's pilot reminds me a little of the clowns from The Dark Knight. Quote
Lothos Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 (edited) Reminds of the first time Puke face showed said..face. The car looks great, minus the wings, sort of wish we'd see a two seater for batman and robin, but I guess that's what motorcycles and some model paint are for, go go robin cycle. Where is Ras al Ghoul alreday, sheesh. Also, not seeing a green lantern in the first wave makes my heart sad. The batcave is meh, but it'll be nice to update one's own batcave with said pieces. Could do without the drill, the bat-cycle looks like garbage. The flying batman looks neat, I like the wings, I forsee many sets purchased, the cycle isn't anything we haven't seen before. Wish they would have made a new-ish helmet for the cat lady, maybe some goggle visors but I'll take what I can get. The superman/wonder woman/luthor set looks cool. Though in all practicallity the suit would be ripped open and Luthor hucked to the sun in about 20 seconds. The batwing looks nifty, will be buying it missed it on the first go. I'm excited about the "The updated" Robin, though I'm pretty sure everyone that owned a Robin updated said costume at one point or another. I am eager to see the marvel stuff. And hopefully the Spiderman sets. Wouldn't mind getting a Spdiey out of the deal, I passed on it the first time around, during my dark ages and all. Edited November 20, 2011 by Lothos Quote
Zarkan Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 (edited) I'm sorry, but this looks like an absolutely pathethic start to the DCBatmanandoneotherset line. The four Batman related kits are all merely inferior versions of kits from the original Batman line, and Lex Luthor's robot looks completely unremarkable. As with Pirates of the Caribbean, it seems TLC is only putting effort into the minifigs, knowing that people will buy the sets just for them no matter how terrible they are. Because you know they will. P.S. I'm sorry if I sound rather harsh, but I'm not to post mild comments if I truly feel a line is poorly designed. If there had been at least one or two sets that looked really good to me, that might have salvaged this line in my mind, but as it is I'm now quite worried about the Marvel side of this theme. ZO6 Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 While more than ever I regret having missed all of the previously released Batman sets, I'm so looking forward to picking up all these new ones. At first I was pretty disappointed with the look of these sets as they seemed like smaller and simpler versions of the old ones. After seeing the batch of newest pics, these sets are really growing on me. I genuinely like the design of these news sets! These seem like they'll look fabulous on display, but I'm a bit suspicious about the play features. I'm seeing a whole bunch of flick-fire missiles and little else on most of the models. Hopefully there are some sort of hidden functions and whatnot. Oh ya, and I suppose it's appropriate to give a shout out to the wonderful looking minifigs - I'm digging them. I look forward to seeing the rest of the Super Hero sets! Quote
Piranha Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I thought Superman was supposed to have red printing on his legs to represent his boots? what a shame I like the accessories in the smallest Batman set, the newspapers, crates are always handy, and the street scene. I also noticed on the boxart said superheroes logo is displayed thus giving a great base for others. I will pass on most of these sets and wait for the TDKR sets in spring/summer. Quote
wokajablocka Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I just saw the Hi res images and the fist thing I thought was 'WHY ARE THEY JUST REMEKING OLD SETS?'. All of the Batman sets have already been produced. Im not too familiar with the movies, are these sceens from the movies? This is the only reason for then to remake them but surly they can make more sceens from Batman, there was only like a thousand moves made. Apart from my little rant the new sets look pritty cool though and I missed out on all the Batman sets and would like to get the Catwoman and the Joker figs for my collection. I'm still waiting to dee waht the Super Heros lineup will bring us over the next year of two. The Wolverine fig looks awsome. Quote

Ogre Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Does two face have an alternative expression? It would be nice to have him with an un-scarred face, so he could be portrayed as 'Harvey Dent' and then have him 'transform' into 'Two-Face'. Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I just had a thought about the unknown exclusive. What if the 'Quinjet Aerial Battle' is the exclusive with Harley Quinn? The name might be a translation error, so it might actually be 'Quinn Jet Aerial Battle', thus making it have Harley Quinn and some unknown Bat-vehicle. This is just a thought, don't make anything of it. Quote

And it's listed with the other Marvel sets, so I don't think that's the exclusive. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 (edited) whoo hoo! More flickfire missiles! Gotta love the play value here.... But Thank you for the Hi-Res images. The sets are looking better now that I have seen them more. I don't know how much I really want them, but they are looking better. Edited November 21, 2011 by TheLegoDr Quote

That's the second time I've heard that All I can say is wikipedia or google Quinjet (or at least look up the subtheme) before suggesting something like that. As a teacher might say, do your homework Yeah, Quinjet is this plane(No it's not a picture of the set!) used by the Avengers. Thank you, Mirandir, for clearing that up Quote
Omicron Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 It would be nice to have him with an un-scarred face, so he could be portrayed as 'Harvey Dent' and then have him 'transform' into 'Two-Face'. He would have to be a new fig as a whole if they were to make a "Harvey Dent", since Harvey does not have a suit that is two colors nor is his hair two colors. :P -Omi Quote

By the way, Brickipedia lists Harley and Nygma being in two different sets. Not saying it's right, just saying. Quote

For Riddler's set, Brickipedia also says It may be the same set as TBA Super Heroes 2 What is TBA Super Heroes 2? There name for Harley's set. Speaking of Harley's set, that says It may be the same set as TBA Super Heroes 1 , so they aren't promising anything. All that they are saying is that there are new Harley and Riddler figures, and that they are going to come out in (a) set(s). Quote
