Batman scared of bats and fighting Ninjas, face palm, only thing stupider was devastator balls.

Right, because Batman has never fought ninjas before in any interpretation. :hmpf:

Honestly though, I don't really want sets based on The Dark Knight Rises - or any other Batman sets, for that matter. What we really need is more sets based on other DC heroes - at the very least, we should get a Green Lantern set featuring that currently rare Hal Jordan figure.

I built the Funhouse Escape last night. It was a rather fun build. It definitely captures the crazy antics of what the Joker would have if he was trying to trap some people. I hope the other sets are a good build as well, although who knows if and when I'll get any of them since I have most of the characters I would want with this set.

If you want to comment on the movies, go to the thread in the Culture and Multimedia forum. But even when you're there remember to play nice.

To all UK fans, have the superhero sets been spotted in the Westfield (stratford or shepard's bush) LEGO Brand Stores? I'm going to either westfield on thursday so does anyone know if UK lego stores are stocking 2012 sets?

I saw several of the initial DC Universe sets (everything but the Funhouse and Batcave sets, I think) at the shops at LEGOLAND Florida two days ago, all priced normally (i.e., well below TRU's pricing).

That surprised me too, but what I think is even stranger is that the Disney Princess sets showed up a lot later than the DC Universe ones :shrug_confused:

Bwaaah? Disney Princesses are out??

Hi, first post.

UK-er here. Love the look of these sets.

I asked LEGO via Twitter and the response was that the Super Hero sets hit UK in 'January' and that the GB/EU lego.com store will be updated to show them 'after New Years'.

Here's the tweets.

But then again I wouldn't be surprised if these arrived in supermarkets/Tesco/etc a little earlier as Ninjago did last year - the LEGO Friends sets are due out here on Boxing Day too (I assume as a post-Christmas toy for kids to get with vouchers, etc, to make sure all the other LEGO range stocks sell through before being reduced), so they could come with those.

That's great to know! Thanks for the info!

I think that the Ultrabuilds are being discussed separatley in the Action Figures forum. :sceptic: Closer to on topic than Princesses though...Monster Hunters thoughts would go in the Action Themes section

You didn't find the image, give credit to the guy that actually posted in it on the Ultrabuild forum..just sayin'..

Egad, those look awful..to me. The only one I find interesting is the Captain America and Green Lantern.

Are we not seeing any Avengers prelim pictures because Marvel is trying to keep things so tight with the alien enemy? Normaly retails would get to see the sets and place orders by now right? like with the rest of the themes we've seen pix of now.

Perhaps, though TLG itself is always trying to keep a lid on surprises.

How long ago was it that we saw the first pix of the DC wave just hitting shelves? Is the time between then and now equal to, greater than, or less than the time between now and the Marvel launch wave?

Also, considering that we just got pics from the LOTR and Star Wars summer sets, this doesn't seem too strange, though I expect us to see the Marvel sets almost any day now.

usually, sets that coincide with a movie are kept under wraps very well. I doubt there is a trace of the sets in the leaked retailers catalogue.

If anyone lives in a US city with a Fred Meyer, they have the DC Superheroes sets at the regular price (no TRU markup.) I saw all of them but the Batcave and Funhouse last night. Today when I came back Catwoman and the Batmobile were sold out, so I grabbed the Batwing. Going to try the other Fred Meyer locations in town tomorrow!

Hope this helps someone.

So, TLG has had press releases up for both DC and Marvel, they've shown figures from both licenses at Comic-Con, and new DC sets are out in stores and on Shop at Home. I'm beginning to think there might be something to these rumours...

I still don't get why Lego have not released the Batman range before xmas in the UK especially as they're out in the States already. These would make them a nice tody profit before the end of the year.

Don't have Fred Meyer in Nebraska, but my local TRU only has the Catwoman set(at $19.99), but had a couple dozen left last weekend.
