LegoDad Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Been very happy with my minifigs, the printing all around was nice. Quote
halomaster96 Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 So far I've got catwoman, superman, and the funhouse. They are all very great sets with great figures and are great all around. 3 down, 3 to go . Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 I got the Catwoman and Two-Face sets, and the minifigures were so detailed that they looked unreal! But seeing Catwoman in person, I have to say that I prefer her old face now too, the visor is printed with not only white, but light blue too, so it gives it an affect I don't want All of the other figures are superb, except for my Black Batman has a little misprint with the yellow oval being printed roughly... Ogre Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 If anybody else has heard the rumors for a Monster Hunters theme, there is a video on YouTube showing the sets. Why am I bringing this up here? Because the largest set has two Bat-esque monsters, and I didn't think it would be off topic to say they could be used for (or even better, be foreshadowing (but I doubt it)) a Man-Bat figure. I had the same thought as soon as I saw that pic. Quote
SpiderSpaceman Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Ok I hate to come up and say this because I'm sure it's been said countless times: We've all realized that batman's secret identity is... superman? Identical facial expressions and muscle and face structure Quote
FireAnt Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Hey guys, My first time posting - been lurking around for too long. Anyone know when the DC sets will be available in South Africa (and the rest of the Winter 2011/2012 lines for that matter)? Quote

SoupOrFishOil Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 My only complaint about this line is I've run into several cases of poor printing, mainly on Minifig heads. My Catwoman has a sploch on her teeth on her goggle face, there's a lot of sploching and smearing on my Joker henchman's face as well as some colors bleeding out of place on his back print, along with a couple other problems on some other Minifigs. Those complaints are really just me being knitpicky though, but has anyone else had this problem? My Catwoman, Two-Face, Two-Face Henchmen, and Guard are all fine. My Blue Batman has a few very tiny black dots that shouldn't be there, but they are hardly noticable. My black Batman's face is fine, but the yellow behind the batsymbol is printed roughly and there is a faded yellow curve to the oval's right. Again, hardly noticable, but a little disappointing. From my experience, a lot of detailed minifigures have always been like this-my Ernie Prang (The Knight Bus Driver from Harry Potter) has a few hardly noticable black lines straying from his eyes. Sounds like you have it worse than me though. Just found these great comparisons between the old minifigures and the new ones on Flickr: Good to see, even though I don't agree with some of those comments. I find it funny how they were saying that the first Joker wasn't as cartoony though, because it's based on the Mark Hamill one from Batman: The Animated Series. Ok I hate to come up and say this because I'm sure it's been said countless times: We've all realized that batman's secret identity is... superman? Identical facial expressions and muscle and face structure Superman has a few more lines around his eyes and chin (that make him look older), but other than that, they are identical. And I don't like it. Quote
Masked Builder Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 I just got my hands on a Batcave. I'm hoping it has one of the new brick separators.... And a review is in order. Quote

Hobbestimus Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 This is interesting: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2011/12/29/amazing-spiderman-building-blocks-confirm-spoiler-rumour/ (caution, spoilers) Mega Bloks has sets for the upcoming Spider-Man movie. I guess they still have movie rights through Sony while Lego has rights based on the comics through Marvel, maybe? It'll be weird to see two kinds of Building Block Spidey on the shelves at, presumably, nearly the same time. Quote
Clone gunner comander jedi Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 (edited) DC sets LEGO catalog pages Its strange how for 6858 it shows batman with a cape when he doesnt come with one in the set. Edited December 30, 2011 by Clone gunner comander jedi Quote

Lego Spider-man’s™ Doc Oc™ Ambush 6873 ETA 15/8 price 69.99 AU No other Spider-man sets listed. Yay! I think that's the only Spiderman set we know of so far? Seems like it's kind of being pushed aside, like Superman in the first wave. Its strange how for 6858 it shows bataman with a cape when he doesnt come with one in the set. Well, Batman is just copy-pasted from the other two pictures, but yeah. It's kind of weird because the wingpack thing is meant to be a selling point, as it's not in any of the other sets. Quote
surrideo Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 It is strange, but as said will just be a copy and paste image. Now owning the set I understand why Batman doesnt come with an "extra" or "spare" cape. Really doesn't need it and its a great introductory set to the line. I hope Superman gets more sets as strong as the debut Mecha set as I can honestly see this set attracting great interest, now when its available and later when its discontinued. Such a strong set and a great price in comparison to others in the line. Quote
billyneon Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 UK LEGO stores now have the Superhero sets in stock to pick up. Picked up the Superman and Batmobile sets today. Love 'em. Ring ahead to check and reserve, though - I checked in with three stores on Weds and they had different stocks, and aren't due any deliveries this weekend, for obvious reasons. All seemed to say they had lots of the Hero Factory-style sets in stock though - not proving too popular those ones. Quote

Apologies if this has been discussed previously but is it known if the Green Lantern minifigure will be released in a set? I have not seen it in any of the set pictures and information so far.- Michael Quote
Oky Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 No, we don't know yet. And to make this post a bit more worthwhile, here's a neat commercial for some of the new Batman sets: I'm loving that B:TAS-style score! Quote
