DJ Bricks Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Does anyone else think if TLC is going to print the wing/feathers on the Captain America figure's head? Albeit it's not a big part of his costume I still would like that little detail on him. Plus the wings are fairly as iconic as his shield! Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I doubt we'll get Hush. He's a little dark for kids. Closest thing we might get is Black Mask, he's a little better known. I'm hoping for Red Robin II (Tim Drake), Nightwing, Scarecrow (I'm AFRAID they will make him Arkham Style to use the more common hood mold and POP claws), Penguin (Hopefully having his face print be like Alfred's so taking off his hat makes him look Arkham City-ish), Killer Croc, Ra's al Ghul, and Taila al Ghul. You might be right about Hush, but he did appear in the LEGO video game, not that that means much. He didn't play a role or anything, he was just a character unlocked after a side mission was completed. I don't think we'll see any Arkham City/Asylum styled figures. You know, it's a little dark for kids I think we'll continue to see more classic comic and updated animated styles. Maybe some Nolan movie depictions too, just maybe. Quote
Omicron Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 (edited) Plus, doing the Zero suit will eliminate the need for a new mold-the dome helmet, They can just do that with the other Freeze get-up. I doubt we'll get Hush. He's a little dark for kids. You can't be serious are you? Joker is a dark character. Two Face is a dark character. Mad Hatter (while only appearing the game) is a dark character. Killer Croc is a dark character. Either way I have my own printed Lego Hush, so I don't need Lego to make one. :) -Omi Edited January 14, 2012 by Omicron Quote
DJ Bricks Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I agree but you gotta remember this is for little kids! They want kids to play with the iconic villains that kids know! Lego is a business Quote

B-Lister Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Captain Cold would be pretty easy. Use the parka hood that came with the ice fisherman from minifigure series 5. Quote

DJ Bricks Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Alright, iron man looks good, great even! So does Wolverine! Hulk is nice besides the beige pants, but I can live with it. I have one concern that Captain America may or may not have his wings on the side of his head. What do you guys or gals think? What do you think the other figs will look like? Let me know! Quote
DJ Bricks Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I think I understand but explain if you could Quote
SpiderSpaceman Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 (edited) Yeah, I hope that Penguin has a Catwoman-styled redesign (not too different from the last), but just giving him backprinting could improve an already great figure. I'd love to see them redo Scarecrow now that dark brown and dark tan have become more common... Ra's Al Ghul-As long as he doesn't look too much like a vampire. Obscure characters? Why when there are so many others that they could do which fans would recognize from the last video game; Killer Croc (had a fairly big role), Mad Hatter, Man-Bat, Mr. Freeze (still pretty sure we'll see him, but in red and lime ), Killer Moth, Clayface, Hush, Batgirl, Nightwing...okay, perhaps I'm getting carried away, but I love the Batman rogues gallery and family, I hope we get an Arkham Asylum, that might get us started with some of these villains (and heroes). It's not just a Batman license, remember? we need room for sinestro and shark and black manta and lobo and bizarro and so on and so on. I want all the batman characters like crazy but don't forget everybody else (or encourage Lego to keep doing it ) Edited January 14, 2012 by SpiderSpaceman Quote
Omicron Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I think I understand but explain if you could The member said Hush wouldn't be made as a fig because he is a dark character, despite being featured in the video game. I pointed out that Lego has made other darker characters. Killer Croc is a cannibalistic monster. Mad Hatter is perceived as a pedophile. Joker and Two Face are self explanatory. The only dark side of Hush is that he performs plastic surgery on himself as well as having an obsession with killing Bruce Wayne. Arkham City took his character beyond that, by being a killer who removes faces from victims. But that is just mainly for that game and not in the comics. -Omi Quote

It'd still be cool to have him, I'm just saying it's unlikely. And I'd rather have Black Mask because he's never been made in any form if I recall. Quote
Hinckley Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 Thank you for your opinion but there is already a topic for this. Quote

But I think they made killer croc just to see how well he was perceived by buyers. ALSO WHAT DO you guys think of Cap's design? But I like his shield better. And your right, I am mistaking him with Arkham City or Jane Doe. But Black Mask was a secret character on the consoles that you could build using the Build-A-Character machine. Not sure about the DS version, but the DS version had all of the Rogue's Gallery (Other than some of the REALLY obscure ones), most of them did not get any story at all other than wandering around after you capture them in some Bounty Hunter-esque mission and purchasing them. I'm excited for Batman 2 because we might get a sneak peak on what some characters in the future will be (Didn't that happen in some of the LEGO Star Wars games?). I can almost guarantee that Solomon Grundy will be a boss because of him showing up in all 3 of those universes. Quote

B-Lister Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Agreed. Most of my favorite characters are B list or lower. Sure I like Batman, but I LOVE guys like the Doom Patrol, Blue Beetle, Starman, Manhunter etc. Quote

SoupOrFishOil Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 The gorgeous game character designs never materialize. no exceptions. Unless LEGO is planning a set with exclusive minifigures that TT knows about but we don't. It happend with the Pirates of the Caribbean game; Davy Jones, Maccus, and Bootstrap all had their set appearances even though we hadn't seen their set appearances yet, or even knew that they would be included in the Black Pearl. I guess that those don't count as video game designs, but they were mistaken for such, which could happen. I don't think Solomon Grundy will appear though, but what are those three universes that he appears in? Oh, and the DS game had the following characters when the console didn't, if this helps anyone: Azrael, The Spoiler, Dr. Jeremiah Arkham, Harvey Bullock, Lucius Fox, Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, Barbara Gordon, Victor Zsasz, Black Mask, Ventriloquist, Dr. Hugo Strange, Talia Al Ghul, Firefly, Huntress, Harvey Dent, Selina Kyle, Pamela Isley, Dr. Harleen Quinzel, and Professor Jonathan Crane. DJ Bricks Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK THAT LEGO WOULD GO TO THE TROUBLE OF PRINTING WINGS ON THE SIDE OF CAPTAIN AMERICA'S HEAD? I THINK THEY WILL BECAUSE TLC IS VERY DETAILED NOW A DAYS BUT THE HAVE ONLY FRONT AND BACK PRINTING ON HEADS AND NEVER THE SIDES. Quote

They are painted onto the side of his helmet to make it more realistic, but the wings are still there. And TLC gave Iron Man trans blue studs to represent his repulsers Edited January 14, 2012 by Neville longbottem Quote
