SoupOrFishOil Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Sorry my caps button was stuck. He does have the in captain America and the avengers. They are painted onto the side of his helmet to make it more realistic, but the wings are still there. And TLC gave Iron Man trans blue studs to represent his repulsers Well, I think that there is a difference between giving a minifigure a couple studs and printing on the side of a head, which is not unheard of, but not very common. I don't think they'll do it, but we really don't know; you can't make out the side of his head in the recent ad and the comic-con one is preliminary. Quote

I just think that as detailed as Lego has become they probably will do the wings. If the don't it wouldn't feel like Cap. I mean, it'll look like Cap but it'll feel like something's missing. The wing are a iconic part, albeit a small one, of his costume. I mean Marvel made sure he had them in the movie adaptions. Quote
ScaryScarecrow Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 The gorgeous game character designs never materialize. no exceptions. But Davy Jones, Maccus, and Bootstrap did. And all the ones that do show up, all of them have a chance to show up, Video Game style or not. Also, Solomon Grundy shows up in Green Lantern, Superman, AND Batman, doesn't he? Quote

TheLegoDr Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I just realized why Iron Man's helmet is so big. It's because of Tony Starks inflated ego!... My poor attempt at humor. Can't wait to see final products! Quote

Can't wait to see final products! Ha!!!!!!!!! That's really funny! I can't wait for Marvel's set either!! Hope they're better the DC's! Although I like the Batman sets. Quote
eldiano Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 It would be cool if they make a Justice League HQ and the League of Doom HQ!!! I think the way they executed the batman sets inclined it towards that way, plus i was a sucker for the 1980's kenner justice league, but lego would be over the top! Well see a little of marvel and dc's hopefully a danger room or something, this is going to be expensive guys... Quote
Omicron Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I don't think he has the wings in The Avengers. He does have them in the movie. -Omi Quote
DJ Bricks Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 He does have them in the movie. -Omi Yes, but the debate is whether the fig will have them or not Quote

And all the ones that do show up, all of them have a chance to show up, Video Game style or not. Also, Solomon Grundy shows up in Green Lantern, Superman, AND Batman, doesn't he? Actually, Jones, Maccus, and Bootstrap were their set designs, I think. I think that TT just knew something we didn't. That reminds me actually, isn't Green Lantern confirmed to be in Batman 2? Maybe they know something we don't, again. But it could always be the comic-con one. Oh, well I thought that they were from one universe. I knew that Grundy was in Batman and Green Lantern, but I didn't know about Superman. I'm not so sure he'll turn up. But if he did, that's one villain I'd be okay with passing on. Yes you are right on both counts Not really about the POTC one, like I said above; I don't think that they were TT's designs converted into a LEGO set, I think that they were TLG's designs which appeared in the video game as that was released before the Black Pearl. Omicron Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Yes, but the debate is whether the fig will have them or not Would be pretty insulting if they didn't. We are in the age where they can print anywhere on the fig. -Omi Quote

deskp Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I doubt there will be painted wings on hes head. Would I like it? ofcourse. I do hope they do it. Without knowing how they do it at all! I dont think they have the equipment for pringing 360 on minifig heads, printing 2 sides of the ehad is one thing, but then repeating that on the other 2 sides would need them to be very exact with the rotation of the head so it aligns correctly wich sounds tricky. Lego can manage and figure out a way I am sure. They just have to program the computer to do said task Edited January 14, 2012 by Neville longbottem Quote

DJ Bricks Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Oh nice, wich set was this? or wich part/minifig EDIT Alfred from the first batcave Do you guys think that they will include a Bruce Banner fig and create a transformation thing like they did in the new Batcave. I. Think that just including a Hulk figure is not enough Quote
Aanchir Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Alfred from the first batcave That was top-of-head printing. Figs can have printing on top, on the back, and on the front. The "top print" area overlaps the sides a bit, but I don't know if it does so enough to work well for the wings on Cap's mask. Quote

I see your point but I think it would be insulting to the character if the didn't include the wings! But this is Lego and the do their best to get every little detail in. No matter how hard it might be Quote
