Thanks for saying that. I don't think that LEGO would do that. Sure they do treat us once in a while, but that wouldn't be smart from a buisness standpoint since it's easy for rivals to steal designs that way.

I believe its more of a marketing thing, controle the information and build excitement, idealy the intress/excitement should be on top when the products gets released. aswell as showing off a unfinished product isnt really a great idea seeing as it basicaly is misinformation about the set that is sub par to the finished thing, everyone might not understand the preliminary part of it.

Rival stealing design isnt really a thing that would work. preliminary images DOES get released online and you dont ever see copies from "rivals" ..there is the "enligthen" and such but they do it another way.

Yeah I get what you saying!

I shared these a page ago.

Actually, that was me, but thanks to your discovery, so it was a team effort.

Deadpool in the Wolverine Chopper? Nice, didn't expect a minifig of him.

He was mentioned in the original press release, so I don't know why you're surprised, but yes, it sure is great that he's in it! :cry_happy: I really hope they do him well and can't wait to get him! I think it would be best if his head is just a printed minifig head and he has the PoP katana holder neck piece.

Very true. We may only see the Spider-Man and Wolverine sets. I recall that almost all of the Toy Story 3 sets were not at the NY Toy Fair in order to not give away the film.

Good point. Which is great, actually, since those sets contain most of the minifigs we haven't seen yet! :sweet: Of course it would be even better to see the Avengers sets too, but as you said, it's unlikely.

I think Thor is most likely to show up in the hulk set along with fury, widow, and Bruce banner

I think he's most likely to be in the Quinjet set as it is the largest set and will probably included most (if not all) of the Avengers. Same goes for Fury and Widow.

Well, they might be being a little paranoid, but rivals stealing designs isn't the only problem. There is also the idea that if we save up money from the excitement generated, they aren't getting it now. Chances are, they will get it then, but for whatever reason, they would rather have it now. It doesn't make too much sense to me, I read it somewhere, but it is probably more sensible from a buisness standpoint.

Yes, there are a lot of sets that change and aren't final in preliminary images, but they don't normally change too much. Figures are often changed and the final set is a lot prettier, but it's usually very rare that a set is changed extensivley, one of the few exceptions is The Riddler and Bane's Hideout. If you haven't seen preliminary images of that set, it really changed a lot and I'd suggest you do.

Personally, I hate when people don't notice the big letters reading PRELIMINARY. :hmpf:

LEGO aren't the ones who put them online. The images do come from them of course, but it isn't really because of them, not directly at least. Retailers just show the catalogue to people who they shouldn't who take pictures and upload them the Flickr or YouTube or whatever. LEGO does normally have a lot of products out at a time and they want them to sell, they don't necesarrily want us saving our money for something that isn't out yet, because they need to clear shelf space, and I'm very certain that they'd rather it is sold and not put in the back of a warehouse. Oh, that does make sense from a buisness standpoint, :look: I just noticed how.

I wouldn't be surprised if Thor was in the Quinjet, but I am expecting him in the helicarrier as the rumor name was "Hulk and Thor". So far, the rumor names have been accurate-all of DC ones had the correct figures suggested by titles and "Iron Man" and "The X-men" were the preliminary names for 6866 and 6867.

Found it around page 128, maybe 127 or a little less. I meant to quote it, but forgot to hit the button

Thanks. So Oky didn't find them first?

Does it really matter who did? Let's move away from this line of thought.

Oky wouldn't have the ability to delete your post anyway. Even those that can wouldn't do so unless it violated the site guidelines in some way.

No, he doesn't have a helmet in the movies, so why would he?

So Oky didn't find them first?

No, looks like you beat me to it. I must have missed your post somehow, sorry.

You guys think Thor will come with a helmet and the hair?

He does wear it once in the Thor movie, but most of the time he just has his hair. Unless they do a comic book version, I'm afraid to say no helmet.

Do you guys( sorry I'm pulling this up again, but we have some new people)BUT do you think the Captain America figure will have wings on the side of his head? He seems to have everything else about him and his helmet right?

It's ok Oky.

I hope there's at least ONE set where Thor has his helmet. They could do something similar to what they did in the Viking Woman in Series 7.

I dont think he will wear the helmet in The Avengers so no.

Chanses of loki with hes helmet is higher!

If they do thors helmet it doesent need to be a hair/helmet combo like jack sparrow the helmet is covering enough of it anyways.

I would have to disagree. Here's a picture of Thor:

I would guess that there would be have to be a hair/helmet combo if they did do that. From the posters and trailers, it doesn't look like he wears his helmet much.

that image is from a comic you know

hes hair is much much shorter in the movie, short enough for lego to get away with not making.

IMAGE LINK It is sligthly longer in avengers but not that much.

Will Cap have wing printing on his head? I think so

It doesn't look like it from the rendered picture from the catalogue but then again it could be a very fine bit of print detail, as they are iconic but don't take up that much of the design. The Captain America figure looks to be one of the best designs at this early stage...

More to the point though, will The Flash get printed Wings on head/helmet/mask if he were to appear in a future DC wave?

As for Thor, we may get a variant one with helmet one with hair if he appears in two or more sets. A little along the lines of black/blue/ and yet to be seen grey Batman

The LDD update includes a lot of the new Super Hero parts/reused Batman parts including Batman's cape and cowl, Catwoman's cowl, Two-Face's hair, Wonder Woman's hair, and the bat-wing jetpack. I didn't see Superman's hair, but wouldn't be surprised if it's there.
