Omicron Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 The spiderman and X-men sets are based on their comic versions, that's why lego can make those sets! Even though Wolverine has Hugh Jackman's face and hair, I would like to point out that in the comic Wolverine is made to look like Jackman's portrayal but still has Wolverine's iconic costume! Huh? Wolverine was always Wolverine. It is Blade you're thinking of. -Omi Quote
DJ Bricks Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Huh? Wolverine was always Wolverine. It is Blade you're thinking of. -Omi No I'm not thinking of blade. But if you look at some of the comics after the X-men movies came out, they started to make Wolverine maskless and look like the Hugh Jackman Wolverine Quote

Vindicare Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 This isn't the place for the discussion, but this is not true. Lucasfilm has nothing to do with LEGO pricing their product. Back on topic, LEGO will not do a Banner fig because in the scheme of the film, Banner is not that important. Stark and Rogers, as civilian identities, will play more prominent roles. So you would be much more likely to see either of them before you saw Banner. Kids want the superheroes - not their civilian identities. They included Bruce Wayne in the recent Batcave(and the former, I believe?). Quote
DJ Bricks Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 They included Bruce Wayne in the recent Batcave(and the former, I believe?). Yes, they did! That's why i believe Bruce Banner will be in the Hulk set! Lego will want things to be eqaul with DC and Marvel waves! If DC has one thing, Marvel will want it too! And vice versa. Both get 6 sets and 17 minifigures! Bruce to Batman= someone from Marvel getting the same thing(Bruce to Hulk) Quote

billyneon Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Question - has there been any reviews posted of the new Batcave yet? Got mine last week and finally finished it last night. But I have an issue with one part which generally just doesn't seem to work, and was wondering if anyone had the same problem. (The problem is to do with the costume change chamber and how the mechanism for it works. Or rather, doesn't.) Quote
DJ Bricks Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Yeah, except Bruce Wayne was on the original minifigure list, while Banner was not. That is why I think he WONT be in it. Yeah, but Marvel's got the Avengers movie and they don't want to spoil it with revealing minifigures. And, while were at it, didn't they make a Peter Parker as well? surrideo Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Yeah, but Marvel's got the Avengers movie and they don't want to spoil it with revealing minifigures. If people are shocked that the Hulk is actually Bruce Banner and he is in the movie...perhaps shouldn't be going. I so hope he is included now as your faith truly deserves reward. To the other poster asking about the Batcave, the mechanism can be quite sticky at times but I found by taking it apart and making sure all connections are tight it rights itself. Also on a side note, I've had a friend who bought the set twice now with removed minifigs(He is in the US) It's obvious that this is a set that would be targeted in this way, but if buying at retail check the tape and box as much as possible. SoupOrFishOil Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Yeah, except Bruce Wayne was on the original minifigure list, while Banner was not. That is why I think he WONT be in it. Me too. (The problem is to do with the costume change chamber and how the mechanism for it works. Or rather, doesn't.) It's sticky at first, but I find that if you keep using it, it'll loosen up. You might have to push down ligtly on Bruce's head for a while, but it should loosen. Yeah, but Marvel's got the Avengers movie and they don't want to spoil it with revealing minifigures. What, you mean that Bruce Banner is the Hulk! Spoiler Alert! I thought Steve Rogers was going to be Hulk. Just kidding of course. I don't think Banner being Hulk would be a spoiler, especially since there was a whole movie dedicated to the Hulk a few years ago. Quote
surrideo Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Very nice, but someone is bound to moan they should be in another forum......Thanks for sharing Quote

SoupOrFishOil Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Alright, I just noticed something. On my Batman torso from the Catwoman set, there is a line missing on one of the abs. My Batman from the Batcave has a perfect torso print though. I always thought that it was just a printing mistake, but then I saw this. As you can see, the Batman on the right has the torso problem I desribed while the other doesn't. From his reviews, I understand that AlexScammer (who took that photo) owns the Catwoman set and the funhouse. I can't help but wonder if this is intentional on LEGO's part. Anyone else notice this? I meant spoil who is exactly in the scene that the sets portray! I actually thought Tony Stark was going to be Hulk!!! Iron Man's my favorite Marvel hero! Quote

Well thankfully Catwoman cycle chase batman is easy enough to find thanks to his glider and in a statement I never thought I'd write down......my Batman has perfect abs............ Same with Funhouse and Batcave versions, but I could see what you meant in Alexscammers pic Edited January 29, 2012 by surrideo Quote

I mean, if Hulk's in the movie, it's bound to happen sometime. Quote

SoupOrFishOil Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Yeah, but if Banner's in the scene, why wouldn't he be in the set? I don't know. Why isn't Angelica included with the fountain of youth? Why isn't Ron included with The Burrow? Why isn't insert name here included in insert set here? Quote

SoupOrFishOil Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 (edited) Number of fig limintation There's an answer for why Banner may not be included. We don't know how many/all of the figures in most of the sets at this moment. Edited January 29, 2012 by Superficial Username Quote
Oky Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 "HULK ANGRY BECAUSE HULK LOOK LIKE CRAP!" Seriously, I hoped they would have changed the color of the shoulders, but apparently not. Also, why blue pants? Ugh, this is an easy pass. The other two look quite decent though. I just hope Cap's shoulder armor can be easily removed (which seems to be the case, but I'm not sure). Yeah, but Marvel's got the Avengers movie and they don't want to spoil it with revealing minifigures. How is Banner turning into the Hulk a spoiler? That's kind of common knowledge, isn't it? I mean, they even told us about Loki, and that's already a pretty big spoiler! I could understand if they didn't mention one of the other villains from the movie which will be included in the sets, but not Banner. Sorry. Quote
