Bricksandparts Posted April 29, 2012 Author Posted April 29, 2012 Hoke is able to lift the Iron door after wedging his pick-axe under the side. And the party climbs down, the ladder must have shaken the door and it falls down, leaving the party only able to continue forward. The party heads south for a while and Hoke finds a torch lit with an oil-damp cloth and picks it up. The party continues onward, and soon they realize Durkon in the distance holding the light staff! As they approach, Durkon sees them and starts trudging towards them, but the party seems to have tripped on a trip-line and a loud sound, probably an intruder alarm is set off! A gate falls from the ceiling in front of the party! What does the party do now? Quote
Tamamono Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 "How are we going to get past this gate?" "I would like to use my shovel to try to dig under the gate." Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 I assist Thomas with my pickax and when I'm done, I raise my hand to the level of my eyes. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted April 29, 2012 Author Posted April 29, 2012 The party doesn't have much time to speak because yelling and footsteps can be heard approaching. Durkon passes Erdathcath a Knife he appears to have found and passes a sword to Hoke. Durkon runs off southward, the party decides they need to run, and fast. They run north and come to an intersection. Items: Rusted sword - WP: 5, deadly poisoned effect, breaks after three uses, suitable for anyone. Rusted Knife - WP: 8, deadly poisoned effect, throwing item, breaks after 1 use, Suitable to rogues and rangers. The party can head: N (start) E S (Gate) Quote

Bricksandparts Posted April 29, 2012 Author Posted April 29, 2012 Without hesitation, the party heads east as two arrows fling past them. The party heads east until they run into another gate, but a guard has opened the door and is on the side the party is. Hoke swings the torch and hits the guard in the head, instantly KOing him. The party travels through the gate until they reach a turn and head North, then another turn to East and then an intersection. The party can head: W (was just here) S E Quote
Bricksandparts Posted April 29, 2012 Author Posted April 29, 2012 The party heads south and reaches a dead end, but light shone through a crack in the wall. Tomas looks through and sees: The party must head North. After reaching the intersection, the guards can be heard getting closer again. The party can head: W (Guards) S (Dead end) E Quote
UsernameMDM Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 "East looks good to me!" "That way sounds better," Hoke says pointing west, "I'd wish to confront those who are in pursuit. Perhaps we can learn something about what we may face in the future." Quote
