Bricksandparts Posted May 7, 2012 Author Posted May 7, 2012 (edited) "Wonderful! I'm glad we didn't leave you! You're actually quite useful!" Called Sylph to the sky. He then returned his attention to the guards. "Now, Gentlemen, I for one do not appreciate your improper treatment of my friend Sam over there. It was most rude of you all, and I despise rudeness. I do believe that the only proper resolution to your problem is a hasty apology or your disgraceful deaths. You've got 10 seconds. And yes, we did 'take out' your blokes. It was hardly a fight.... 10." " Is that supposed to be a threat? I know a bluff when I hear one. We've got you outnumbered, a sniper, and..." He nods to the guard near the contraption. "Our little invention we like to call a Machine Gun. 10." Edited May 7, 2012 by Bricksandparts Quote

I'm sure it could blast us away in an instant! We 4 would never stand a chance against an automated projectile launching war machine and 6 strong-armed guards! Maybe I came on a little strong. We don't need an apology, we beat the lights out of your palls, you held ours hostage. Seems even." Having said that, Sylph turns to his companions and whispers quietly "Lets go back to the hole in the wall and blow up the gun before they even get a chance to use it." UsernameMDM Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 OOC: Topaz is awesome. Durkon laughs as he shots spirals of lightning at the "gun". Can you wait till we come up with a strategy ad a group? "Agreed. We should head back and try to attack them unawares," Hoke whispers back to his companions. Hoke uses Diplomacy. "Apoligies for my friends good sirs. We only defended ourselves from your friends and were unaware we had intruded on you. We will simply return from where we came and leave you in peace at this juncture." Quote

"We didn't mean to intrude, we only wanted to rescue Sam, and now that we have, we can go, no harm done." Quote
The_Customizer Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 "Not to mention, we are also very sorry about the loss of your guards. Next time we shall be more careful" To the others: "Agreed, let's sneak up on them from behind, and perhaps we can bomb the machin gun, or whatever they call that thing." Quote
Tamamono Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 *whispering to Erdathcath* I think that would probably be the best idea. I highly doubt that we'll be able to take that thing on by ourselves, but if we can disable it, we'll probably won't have much trouble with the guards. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 "Leave!" "Don't have to tell me twice!" Said Sylph, who bowed and backed away, never letting his eyes leave his opponents until they turned the corner. Once out of earshot, Sylph conferred with his team on their way to the room with the crack in the wall. "Ok, that went well, We've seen their gun and we can get to it from that crack we saw earlier. Once we get back to the room, we can decide how to break through, but at the moment, I think a firebomb or waterbomb would do nicely." Quote
Bricksandparts Posted May 8, 2012 Author Posted May 8, 2012 Has the party decided what to do yet? Quote
Tamamono Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 "Yes, we will leave the guards and go around the back to the crack in the wall." Quote

Bricksandparts Posted May 8, 2012 Author Posted May 8, 2012 The party heads to the crack room. (You realize that Durkon is left back in the ceiling thing?) Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 (You realize that Durkon is left back in the ceiling thing?) 'Yes. He should stay quiet, but if he doesn't, that's none of my concern. we'll be right back after a few explosive messages. and it's not like they'll be able to find him/ remember him/ think it was more than an illusion from our wizard to distract them from Sam. Disembodied voices are a super basic cantrip, or so I'm told' thinks Sylph to the gods. "So now that we're here, what do you all suggest we do? Is the hole large enough to fire an arrow or crossbow bolt into? Or should we start by blowing it up?" Quote
UsernameMDM Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 "I would like to rest first. Then perhaps an amethyst towards the guard on the machine gun." Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 "I would like to rest first. Then perhaps an amethyst towards the guard on the machine gun." "I would like to give Hoke my tonic. Free of charge. We don't have time to rest, correct if I'm wrong god, so, please drink it, I'll just buy another. Why else do I have money? Money is nothing next to power. I agree with you about the amethyst though! It's brilliant! I love it! " Quote
Bricksandparts Posted May 8, 2012 Author Posted May 8, 2012 "I would like to rest first. Then perhaps an amethyst towards the guard on the machine gun." I don't really understand. You rest and then attack the guard on the machine gun? Quote
UsernameMDM Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 I'd like rest before we attack. I was just making a suggestion. Dannylonglegs - no thanks. Not sure what the deal is, but resting outside of battle is as easy as taking a tonic. Quote

Not sure what the deal is, but resting outside of battle is as easy as taking a tonic. I know, but In-game realistically, you don't have four hours to rest in a windy dungeon filled with guards who are likely to come looking for us, not to mention we left a teammate in the other room with the intention of coming right back to start a fight and let him re-join the group. Also, the QM is likely to just say no. So, go ahead and take the tonic, I really don't mind. You could even have my grand tonic if you asked nicely. There's two clerics, and one arcane magic user. I have nearly full ether, I think Tom does too. You take precedent, and I honestly don't mind buying another, because I never use them. If not now, when? Quote
UsernameMDM Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 I believe I am pretty much at full health, and in game I figured I would just rest and catch my breath as we formulated a plan. Quote

UsernameMDM Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Ok, if it's not a 4 hour rest rest, then we can just continue right? and you can cast the spell? I feel like I am missing something? 4 hr rest? Either way, it's been more than 4 hrs since that post. Quote

Bricksandparts Posted May 10, 2012 Author Posted May 10, 2012 QM Note: Decide already! RPGer is bored, if you want a tonic, drink one! If you rest for a minute or two you're not gonna replenish anything. Quote

Also the description of the bedroll says it restores health and ether while in a safe place not over a period of time. Edited May 10, 2012 by UsernameMDM Quote
