The_Customizer Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Agreed, lets just purchase the items with what money we have, or should we go out of the city, and try to find things that would could just battle for, or find? Quote

We should probably buy everything we need here first. If we want to split things up equally, we can do it this way: 1 Voodoo Chalice - 45 1 Crystal Chalice - 85 5 Mage Boosters - 125 (25 x 5) 1 Wizard Rum - 40 gold which comes out to 295 gold. So, if we split it evenly, we'll each pay 59 gold. Unfortunately, Olinn doesn't have that much yet, but I'd be happy to chip in the 19 extra he needs." "Although I do have a bit of a feeling that we might lose these items if we buy them here and then move on (they might get stolen by thieves, etc.), or we might even find the items for free/a better price. What does everyone else think?" "And of course, there's always the possibility that we may be able to talk one of the vendors into parting with these items at a lower price." Quote
The_Customizer Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I would have to agree with you, buying it all now may not be a good idea, let us walk around the rest of the city and see what we can find. Quote

I'll pitch in another 19 gp, added to the 30 I received (but never added to my stats) makes the requisite 59 gp. before we buy though, our knight should try to haggle the prices down. (you could argue that since we're buying in bulk blah blah blah." Quote

Dannylonglegs Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 So far, Thomas has offered up his 59 and also bummed Olinn's 19 (I don't know if he's subtracted this from his money yet) and I've pooled my 59 (the 30gp that I got as part of the group and 19 of my own which I've subtracted) Now we're waiting for Olinn's 30 (which he didn't add to his stats either), Erdathcath's 59 (that's a mouthful of a name, mind If I call you Erd or Erdy? or Birdy?), and Hoke's 59. then we will have the 295gp we need to buy these things and get the blazes out of this market. Also, Hoke, do you mind talking the Merchants into lowering the prices of the goods? We've got 137gp in the pool. Quote
The_Customizer Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Well, I don't know, it seems it would be wiser to travel around the city a bit, and who knows, we may just find something we need. Quote

It's up to Olinn, though." Quote

Mibbiwocket Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Where will the party go? Olinn observed the map of the surrounding area of Aedranad intently, the quietly addressed the party. "If we exit the city here, a-and go through the... *gulp* ...g-g-graveyard, then we c-could see if this "San's Tri Potion Shop" sells w-what we need a l-lower price." Quote
Bricksandparts Posted March 31, 2012 Author Posted March 31, 2012 The party heads to the City border guard to exit the city. After reaching their destination, they meet a guard, similar to the guards at the market-place, standing at the wall fiddling with his spear. As the party approaches, he looks up. "Hello, Would you like to pass the border? If so, It's 20 coins per person in and out..." The guard then notices the party has the canteen passports. "...Or perhaps you want to use these passports?" How will the party respond? Quote
UsernameMDM Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 "Good day to you sir," Hoke says as he holds up his passport. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted March 31, 2012 Author Posted March 31, 2012 If the party leaves now, they can walk to: Mythril mines - 1 day Sam's tri potion shop - 1 day Grave-yard - 1 day Quote
The_Customizer Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Olinn, I think we should start off by walking to the Potion shop. Quote
